I've come to accept my addiction to insomnia cookies. I usually stop by after church at bright hope baptist church or after grabbing a meal at honey grow. It's hard to walk past this establishment without finding myself entering for a nice treat. The establish is clean and organized. Each time I've gone, the lines are minimal and I get serviced pretty quickly. Once I make my order of sugar and snickerdoodles cookies, they take it out from the warming oven below. Therefore it is normally warm enough to eat at that moment. The cookies are also soft. I've also tried the cookiewitch but it's too sweet for me with the icing. My only and biggest complaint is the cost. But I guess they have to pay the bills some way or another. Either way, looking forward to my next opportunity to indulge in the tasty cookies and sometimes ice cream depending on my mood.

It's sweet, soft, and warm! All the greatness of a cookie just melting in your mouth! I always ask myself what is so special about these cookies? I just love it and it's delicious! When I stop in, I typically order two sugar cookie bigwich (with the yummy frosting goodness in the middle). This time, I ordered a bigwich with a sugar and confetti (limited time; white chocolate and sprinkles in it!)cookie. Mmmmm...so good! Insomnia Cookies give you that sugar high that you want from time to time! Mmmm!

So last night I was already showered and in bed took my Benadryl and ready to sleep till I got tagged in Insomnia's new dippers post on Facebook. Then I decided my fat ass couldn't go one more second without trying this. So legit just devoured basically the whole thing right before bed and finished it this morning. I hate myself but they are delicious.

Currently in the process of tearing down some deluxe cookies with a friend of mine. Will update with a full review and photos once I've finished savoring them~ Fast forward a few hours- and now that im home and able to type proper rather than gently poke at my phone with my ham-hands- lets get dug in! Let me start by saying the cookies are quite good, across both me and my bud we tried the Deluxe s'mores, and peanut-butter cups. as well as the m&ms, peanut-butter chunk, and snicker doodles, the snickerdoodles being the lamest jane of the bunch (A shame too because i'm generally a fan of them, and they weren't bad, its just the others were so good they seem bland by comparison.) Insomnia was packed tonight and remained so the entire duration of our visit. Fortunately orders are put together fairly quickly once customers decide what they would like to order- the small location barely able to contain the ongoing traffic of pleased customers wandering out, and hungry folks looking to snack running in. Constant batches of new cookies are always being baked in an attempt to keep up with the staggering demand of the campus crowd the establishment draws in- so shortages of certain items are frequent. (Really sad i didn't get a shot at that triple chocolate deluxe but there's always next time!) Prices are on the high side (And by quite a bit.) but all of the cookies are dense, extremely rich, moist. and chewey You can tell a lot about a place by the way it bakes certain cookies, and i can say after the peanutbutteer chunk and cups, i really wish we had opted into.their sugar cookies as well. I just wish the milk weren't like $3.45 so i could have had something to wash it down with. Flavor & Presentation 4.25/5 | Service & Speed 4.5/5 | Price & Proportion 2.5/5 Overall 3.75/5

My cookie was broken but still yummy. I had peanut butterchip and white chocolate macadamia with chocolate ice cream.

My boyfriend went to Temple and he got cookies from here back when it was a food truck. We came to visit his old stomping grounds and he insisted on showing me this place. Insomnia Cookies became Nostalgic Cookies instead. It was around 2am so I was surprised that it was still opened. What was even more surprising was that the cookies were warm and heavenly. The chocolate were gooey when pulled apart and the smell of sweetness filled the air. I don't know if it was because it was late at night and I was sleep deprived or if the cookies were just that amazing. It's been months since I had the cookie and I still sometimes crave for it. I'm not a student at Temple but if I were still in school, I would definitely get these yummies delivered every night!

Cookies are as hard as hockey pucks, don't make no sense. If I wanted hard cookies I would eat Oreos instead.

Staff is nice but...Overpriced Costco quality level cookies. Very disappointing. Nothing special here. Hard pass.

I thought I'd written a review about this place before but to my shock I had not…read more I have been coming here since the day they opened, infrequently beacuse I am diabetic but when I want to spoil my body with delicious sugar, honey, this is *IT*. Now I could tell you all about how perfectly tasty everything is. From the classic banana puddings (I prefer the caramel version myself,) to the cookies, to the pineapple upside-down mini cakes. Yes, I could tell you that. But I want to speak to something deeper. I want to speak to belonging and community; and to fairness. As a biracial person with a brown sister, I feel the pull to support black and brown businesses. It's not a secret. And sometimes you do it, and sometimes you privately think "Damn. I wanna be supportive but this place is a mess." Then there's Sweet Life. NOT that. FILLED with good product at a great price, delivered by owners and staff who actually give a damn about being loving and supportive to all different types of people. And did I mention the sweets are POPPIN'? And to that statement of fairness. Today I came in to place an order, and when the price came up, for a moment I thought "Damn. That is a lot higher than I remembered, but I am not about to question them. They set the price and that price is what they deserve." So I paid. But then I noticed there was more in my bag that I'd asked for, and that there had been a miscommunication. When I tell you that this miscommunication was corrected with swiftness *AND* a smile. No shade. No drama. Just an "Ooops, oh well, here's your refund on the balance." I know this seems very basic but we all know it isn't. We have all been in that awkward situation where as a customer we have to point out an error, and the vendor turns it into a Shakespearan tragedy. Not Sweet Life. "Oops. Sorry! Fixed. Love you." So, to recap: Stunningly delicious sweets. Prices fair as hell. Communicative, inclusive staff doing the right thing. You need to take those money dollers and haul your ass over here TODAY. Now...where did I put my insulin pen?

The line was pretty long since we came on a Saturday morning, but it moved surprisingly fast. They had a huge selection of donuts, along with other baked goods and cakes. It was hard to choose because everything looked so good, but we ended up getting the apple fritter, maple bacon, and Biscoff donut. The maple bacon was definitely our favorite. The donut itself had this amazing sweet maple smell, almost like straight maple syrup. The bacon on top was a nice touch, and the whipped maple creme filling was delicious. It was definitely a sweet donut, but it hit the spot. The Biscoff donut came in a close second. It had the perfect filling-to-bread ratio, and as someone who loves anything Biscoff, this was super satisfying. Both of these donuts were incredibly soft and had the perfect texture. The apple fritter ranked third for us, but it was still really good. It wasn't as sweet as the other two, which was actually nice and helped balance everything out. I do wish it had been a little crispier and had more pieces of apple throughout, but I still enjoyed it. I'd absolutely come back to try more of their donuts, and I definitely want to check out some of their other bakery items too!

I have no idea what all I ordered, but I got 3 classic ones that you can get mostly anywhere, and then I got 3 wild ones at the choice of the worker there helping me out. I have to say, I really just prefer classic chocolate icing, or caramel icing regular donuts. The crazy ones with all the toppings and fillings are just weird to me. Krispy Kreme remains as always the GOAT of all donut shops, but I do like trying new spots. Certainly worth stopping by if you're craving a donut.

They definitely seem consistent, which I really appreciate. I came with a couple of friends on a Saturday afternoon, and wow... this place was packed. Even with the crowd, the staff stayed friendly and worked quickly, so we didn't have to wait too long for our drinks. One thing I still love is the seating. They have giant plushies sitting in the booths, so if you're by yourself, you're not just awkwardly staring at an empty seat across from you. Maybe I'm the only one who appreciates that, but I think it's a cute touch. The matcha here is the real deal. It's bright green, fragrant, and has that rich, earthy flavor with just enough natural bitterness that you know they're using quality matcha. A lot of places advertise matcha, but this one actually delivers. I ordered one of their matcha desserts with ice cream, and it was creamy, refreshing, and let the matcha flavor shine instead of burying it under sugar. My only complaint is that it was pretty warm inside. It was a hot summer day, and I honestly couldn't tell if the air conditioning was running or if it was just fans. Either way, it wasn't very cool inside. Thankfully I had ice cream, so it didn't bother me too much, but it's something to keep in mind if you're stopping by on a really hot day. Overall, another great visit. Friendly staff, consistently high-quality matcha, and a fun atmosphere. If you're a matcha lover, this is still one of my favorite spots in Chinatown.
