Worst customer service. More expensive for no reason. They don't offer a oil filter made for synthetic oil. So if you pay more for the synthetic oil, after 3k miles your conventional oil filter will not work and begin to harm your engine with the impurities it was not able to filter. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE FOR BRAKE SERVICE. I recently took my 2002 Toyota celica to this place to get the brake pads change. They charge me $150 and took about 2 hours to do it. After it is done, the car started to make some kind of rattling noise under neath when I drive. I went back and told them about it. They said it is not the brake that make noise, its something else wrong with the car. They don't know what it is. I then took my car to a Toyota dealer and have them check it out. They said that whoever did the brake job forgot to put the shim in because it is an after market pads, that's why its make noise cause it is loose. read more

Do not use this place. Rude and a ripe off said they changed the oil then started hitting the dip stick on my motor to try and shake the black old oil off then try's to show me the dip stick from far away and real fast so I couldn't see that it was all black they didn't even change it and charged me and lied please stay away. read more

The service writer Edgar was very nice & made the experience a lot easier for me. I went there as a repeat Customer, I noticed that the oil used to put in my car was from a huge barrel, I asked him what type oil ,name brand is this , he didn't answer me. Reason is the oil prior had a bad smell to it . I was told it's a very cheap brand of oil and shouldn't be used . I own a 2016 dodge. Also noticed above me a sign saying 35.00$ including tax. I was asked to pay 51.80$. I said to him what about the 35.00$ including ta sign above? He said no, you have to pay $51.80.. definitely not fair business practice. Also the cheap oil, I'll never go back there again. Plus my car was making funny noises from the oil. Went had the oil drained and replaced with name brand oil. Avoid this place, not safe to put this cheap oil, save your car from major repairs. Trust me, your not getting your money's worth. Go somewhere else, avoid costly repairs . I've gone here to get my oil changed several times. They are fast and easy, they don't bother you, you can sit in your car. Its great! I never had a problem with my oil drain plug being loose, or oil spilling on my driveway. The only complaint is that they are up-sellers. For some reason they always want to check my air filter and tell me its dirty, or that this fluid needs to be replaced. Its fine its a business, they have to make money, but it just annoys me. If you don't have time to sit at a repair shop all day to get an oil change this is the place for you. read more

This place is horrible. The employees are rude and then I get my bill and they have their check list. They didn't check anything on the list I was sitting in my car and would have know if they did. This place is extremely fraudulent with their work!! I got my normal oil change from them 3 times in the last 9 months. After I got my oil change done, I drove off and parked my car. I got back in my car a couple hours later and while I was driving on the freeway, my engine made a large noise and kept making noises. I took to a real machanic which charged me $165 to inspect. They found the same oil filter on it which I had changed myself almost an entire year ago on it and only 1 quart of oil in it which damaged my engine. Now my car no longer runs and will cost of $5,000 to repair. So with the last 3 oil changes, Insta Lube never changed my oil filter at all!!! Don't go to these con artists. You never know what they are doing underneath your car, and most people will never know. That's why they've been getting away with it all the time. read more

I've been here a couple of times, and both times I was in and out pretty fast. I don't know if inflation has caused the prices of oil changes in general to go up, but I thought their prices were a tad high. However, the people working here are really friendly, and the last time I came here, they gave me the "high-mileage" oil change and knocked $5 off for the "inconvenience" of having to move my car back a few inches. I think this is going to be my main place of oil changing from here on out. read more

I usually go all the way to San Pablo for oil change to speed lube. I would take that extra drive cause I trust them & know they do a great job. But I decided to try this spot for the first time since its 2 min from my home.. & I didn't like it. I have a Honda Accord 2002 & it's def a gas saver but my first time getting my oil change done here & my gas would go down quick . Usually it takes 10 min, but this spot took less than that. I took my car here for years, not anymore. One day they forgot to put the oil cap back on, and by the time I got to Fremont my engine was so drenched in oil, the smoke was pouring out behind me. The owner said it was no big deal, and offered me 3 free oil changed which I tossed in the garbage. They are not careful with there work, and I have never returned. I really don't like writing negative reviews, but sometimes they are completely necessary. I'm not sure how this place is still open. Before I get started i'm pretty well versed in the art of auto mechanics, I work in an auto shop and have for a few years now. But from time to time I get lazy and pay other people to do the simple maintenance on my cars. After talking with who I assume was the crew manager or floor man for 30 seconds, I realized two things 1) this guy should not be working on cars, and 2) i'd be better off pouring applesauce in my radiator and oil reserve than letting any one of these people touch any of my cars. If you go here, don't be surprised to find water in your power steering reservoir, your radiator, or even your engine. Instead of wasting your time, money, and risking the well being of your new or old car, consider strongly taking it to an auto shop you can trust, such as Georges automotive, or even jiffy lube. Worry free guaranteed, those are two of my go-to choices. do not go here at all! beware if you are african-american and/ or female. i went to insta lube around 9:45 a.m. on 9/2/11 to get an oil change. i pulled in as the employee directed and popped my hood. i was on the phone with my husband at the time and he told me to ask the guy if they had 1040 oil and the guy said they were out. then my husband told me to ask what's the next good quality of oil after 1040, the guy told us. so my husband had me ask him a third question about the lowest grade oil and the guy said "i told you 1030". i thought that to be rather rude coming out of his mouth, so i politely asked him why did you have to say "i told you 1030', why couldn't you have said 1030. he said "because i told you 1030", he with a low voice walking back pass my car he said "fuck off!!!!". he must have thought he said it so low, that i wouldn't hear him. i got out the car (still on the phone with my husband and telling him what the employee had said) and i said if i was a male or my tall black husband was here, you wouldn't have said that to me or him. the guy said "race or gender doesn't have anything to do with it", i said yes it does. i told him that, that was the exact reason you were treating me with foul customer service. the guy shut down and i could look in his face and see anger and rage as though he wanted to harm me but was constraining himself. i asked for the manager, another employee said he wasn't there, then i asked for the manager's phone number and all of a sudden nobody could speak english. so after i pressed for the number, they gave me an insta lube card, but little did i realize (after i left) that it was the number to insta lube instead of a direct number to the manager. needless to say they didn't perform an oil change on my car! i will definitely post the results of what the manager had to say after i talk with him! bad business! no customer service! read more
