I am sorry to report that I had a real unfortunate experience here for tax services, and it was my first time ever going through this, which is why I would caution others before going. My friend recommended this place because his family has been going there (but moving forward will no longer be returning), and so I decided to give it a chance. I had my documents, bank information, payment method and everything ready. I was in and out fairly quickly and left feeling good about having gone to this establishment. About 35 days had gone by since I filed my taxes, and I still had not received a tax return. I reached out and voiced my concern and wanted to make sure neither the tax service agent or myself had missed any steps. They said they spoke to their supervisor and to just to be sure, they would file my taxes via paper even though I had gone in and done it electronically with them. I felt reassured and wait another month before reaching out. I didn't hear back and they reassured me they had file my taxes two ways to ensure I receive my return. I have been trying to use the "Get My Refund Status" on the IRS website for weeks now, and the tracker continues to say it cannot find my files. I became uneasy and decided to unfortunately spend more money by seeking out another tax service for a second opinion (since no one had gotten back to me at this place) and to ensure my taxes had been filed. This new agent said they checked with the IRS and FTB (Franchise Tax Board) and there was no record of my 2022 taxes. So now they had to file them for me since this establishment never did so, even though they claimed to have done it electronically and through paper. The receipt I received from them states I cannot receive a refund for the service, but the fact of the matter is the service was never actually completed to begin with. I strongly advise to consider your options before coming here. I have been waiting months for that tax refund only to find out that the tax agent never fully and completely filed my taxes. It was a complete waste of time and money that I will not be getting back from them. UPDATE: Since I cannot respond to the comment provided by the business owner, I would like to remind readers that there were no attempts at contacting me - no phone calls, no voicemails, no letters, and no emails. Otherwise, I wouldn't have gone out of my way to continue to reach out about where my refund was at. By the time they "determined" I had already filed my 2022 taxes, it was because I indeed did have to file elsewhere MONTHS later to confirm whether or not this place had actually done so. I don't understand how the tax submission was "rejected" immediately when I didn't file until months after. Of course I received my money back for the service I did not receive, but that was because I had to file a claim myself to my bank. Not because the refund was offered by the company after realizing what had happened. It was not their solution, it was mine. read more
