I have never advocated so much for a fitness studio before…read more I cannot say enough about every single one of the instructors at the studio, as well as the owner, Jen. The space they have created is so welcoming for beginners, and they foster an environment where anyone--no matter where they are in their fitness journey--can get the workout they are looking for. The instructors are attentive to everyone in class and are incredibly supportive. I would also like to show my appreciation for three instructors whose classes I generally take on a weekly basis. Claudia is one of my all-time favorite fitness instructors that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I have taken her Pilates reformer class, hybrid mat class, and TRX class. I consider her coaching the primary reason I was able to break through the fitness plateau I was experiencing before coming to the studio. She is extremely knowledgeable about the workouts and can create modifications on the spot to fit you and your fitness goals. I go Tina's Barre class, and what I appreciate about it is the structure, as well as how unique each session is. Her instruction style is very supportive, and she is beyond cognizant of everyone in the room. In every class, she checks in on each client to make sure they have good form. I never thought I would enjoy taking Barre, but I now consider myself a true Barre enthusiast. Audrey is another amazing instructor. I generally take her reformer class and Exo Chair class. Audrey's classes are so welcoming and engaging. Her workouts are challenging, but due to how she engages the class, time seems to fly by because we are all just having fun. As I stated at the beginning of this review, I have never advocated this much for a fitness studio, and I will continue to be a client for the foreseeable future and then some. Thank you, Jen, and the rest of the IMX Studio team!

I am 100% committed to not letting it take over my life and through my research found that yoga & pilates would be a good fit. I originally called a well known pilates studio in fremont but was completely put off by their marketing strategies...daily phone calls, texts & emails (sometimes 5+ a day!). Through a friend I was told about IMX. When I called I was greeted by Jenn the owner and I instantly felt like I had found a "home"! She answered my millions of questions, educated me on all things pilates & put a smile on my face....all without ANY high pressured sales tactics! I have now been going for about a month now and I could not be happier! Every instructor has taken me under their wing to helped guide & support me in my new journey. They have never made me feel intimidated, or silly cause I did not know what I was doing (even when I literally almost fell off the reformer :) The other people in the classes have been quite helpful and encouraging too.....what a great new community I am part of! If you are thinking of trying IMX Pilates you definitely will not be dissappointed!!! The best decision I have made on my health journey by far. Kudos to Jenn & her incredible team....THANK YOU so very much :)

Geraldine, who's also one of the pilates instructors at my pilates studio, was kind to explain the basics of the equipment and exercises. Never underestimate her workouts from her calming voice, because I was sweating a lot while my legs were hurting to the point I froze for a moment without a cramp. I understand why no man would ever set foot in this studio. They would cry. I kept going despite the pain, yet I feel stronger in the end. She was kind to guide and correct my form quietly. It was intense on the first try with pilates experience. This was more like a level 3 reformer. I would go back if I became stronger and leaner after six months of doing pilates consistently. The studio was nice and clean with a spacious cubby and a single-use restroom. Highly recommend wearing grip socks before you come to class. If you don't have one, you can purchase one from them at the front desk. Also, come 15 minutes early to find street parking easier.

The only thing is the loud music inside sometimes -- though i love the music that they play, but makes it kinda sorta hard for me to listen to my own even with full blast volume with my headphones. But overall, I love it here! I've brought a few friends and would keep recommending it to any woman looking for an empowering place to workout

They make it seem like such a welcoming, supportive, safe space for girls, but my experience has been the complete opposite. Almost every interaction I've had with the staff has been rude, unprofessional, and uncomfortable for absolutely no reason. The girls that work there constantly have attitudes, act bothered when you ask questions, and are honestly just very unhelpful. There was even a time I asked for help using a machine because I genuinely didn't know how to use it, and the staff member got visibly annoyed even though she was literally just sitting on her phone doing nothing. That's honestly what most of them do every time I go in sit around on their phones but then act irritated when members need help. It's disappointing because I really wanted this to be a gym where I felt comfortable. I don't always feel comfortable at regular gyms, which is why I was excited about an all girls gym in the first place. But somehow I've felt more welcomed and comfortable at regular gyms than I ever have here, which is honestly sad considering what this place claims to stand for. If you're looking for a supportive "girls support girls" environment, this is probably not the place. Super disappointing experience overall.

I tried to add a class at CP Fremont. I've taken a few classes here but this wasn't my main studio. I went over to this location because it had one of the latest available classes at 2:30 pm on a weekend. I was on a waitlist, so I head over to the Fremont location. I was able to find parking right in front of the studio and came here about 30 mins early, mind you. I'm really serious about my workouts and take double classes majority of the time. I seen the instructor who was teaching and we greeted each other and she was excited I was joining. I told her about the issue that I'm waiting to see if I can be added. She told me it wouldn't be a prob and I would be able to get in. So, I checked in front, I think her name was Aracely or something like that. She was the only person at the front desk at the time had a really awful behavior at the time. I asked if the people in this class are regulars and if there would be a possible no show. She said yes, they all are regular so you should go. I thought it was so rude again to be talked to like that. I decided to wait and told her I'll wait to see if they're late and if you're late by the 6th min, your spot is given to the person who is physically waiting there. That's their system. So, as far as safety goes the person who is there can't really warm up and go straight into their workouts and if you are running late you don't also have time to warm up. It's a really bad system to get anyone injured. However, the incident in Fremont, I want to give feedback as to an unprofessional staff who kicked me out of the studio and didn't even treat me with any respect, seeing me patiently wait for 30 mins and did not follow company's policy to allow me to take a class when there was an opening. I waited the additional time after and was asked to leave at the 4 minute mark, right before 5 minutes. It was strange that an employee will ask you to leave as if you're not a paid member to sit, shop, or wait inside? I have never seen any other CP that has kicked a member out. The front desk staff told me that the girl was running late and she was coming. I still thought it was strange to rush a member out before closing and try to hold a space for a member when they were not inside the studio. I said fine I'll pack my things slowly thinking the girl might be parking her car. Still no one showed up as I was walking toward the door. I told her it was almost at the 5 min. mark and if she's not here in a minute that I would be able to be added since I am the first one waiting here. She pushed me out and that's when I told her it's passed the five minute mark as she locked the door behind me not giving me access to use the studio. I am very disappointed because I used to enjoy working out at the CP in Sunnyvale, San Jose, Santa Clara after work, or before work I'd be at San Jose. I have never fully recovered and haven't felt the same. She was the only employee working beside the teacher so she deliberately took my spot, as a paid member. I have the priority. She put her hands on me and I escalated the situation to corporate which I went in full details. I took a picture of her right after the incident. I literally canceled my membership because if you cannot even trained your employee basic customer service I don't want to be a part of this institution. She should have been suspended or terminated for physically touching a member or anyone of that nature. I'm so glad I will never be back here or any place that doesn't want my business because I know I spend A LOT of money and time on my health. Having paid almost $300/mo for only Pilates class is such an expensive investment and to be treated like an animal is beyond me. I do not recommend this studio because the lack of customer service and the way they treat their members is unacceptable. For reference, I added text messages from my friend who was a past member. I was texting her the whole time from waiting for my class, being kicked out of the studio while being a paid member.
