Majority of their staff have been the same for over 5 years. And that was evident when customer service was one of my biggest pre requisites when dealing with a company. I needed closets and blinds done and so I called them and they were able to book 2 different consultants for same time. both of them came with uniforms and logoed cars they both had awesome tech to measure and design. It was flawless from beginning to end. installation was a breeze as they has a solid crew finish a 4 bedroom house in 2 days ! Great salesman, horrible installation. We received great service from the owner and office staff while deciding which window treatments to purchase, however, there was no follow through when it came to installation. The owner visited our house to take measurements, however, ordered the wrong sized blinds for three windows. He attempted to collect the balance due before agreeing to provide replacement blinds arguing that it's normal for there to be a 2 to 3 inch gap between the blind and window casing. When replacement blinds were eventually ordered several weeks later, installation was sloppy -- blinds were installed at an angle and off center. Perhaps the installers were replaced since the previous review, but they were not worth the money. We wish we had used another supplier that would take the time to do the installation correct. read more

I had the best experience with Stephan and Interior Motif. I have floor to ceiling windows and was unsure of what treatment to put over the windows. Stephan's in house consultation session was great. He answered all my questions, showed many options, samples and demos. He is very professional, knowledgeable and fun! I finally arrived at my decision and a few weeks after the installation team arrived. Installation was a good experience too. Depending on what you have installed drilling can be loud but the workers are very quick and efficient. They cover all your floors and clean them after they are finished. I had the best experience with Interior Motif...the whole staff is great! Interior Motif was recommended to me since they have done so much work in my building, so I walked in the show room to browse the products and one of the girls immediately helped me and offered information. I scheduled a free consultation and Stephan came to my home and I got to see a bunch of samples up against my window so i could make the best choice with my decor, the lighting, etc. They were installed in about 3 weeks as promised, and honestly it couldn't have gone any smoother. To make things even better, the installers will come out for free for a year if anything goes wrong, and there is a lifetime warranty on all Hunter Douglas products!! Horrible Installation and Service! Although Interior Motif offers quality products, their installers are careless and unprofessional. The installer did not use all of the hardware recommended (and provided) by the manufacturer, installed a couple blinds so that they are visibly askew, trimmed the cord too short on one of our blinds so that it cannot be fully extended and forgot to leave all of the hardware that came with our blinds (poles, extra brackets, etc). When we called the office regarding our concerns, the owner was rude and insisted that the installation was "normal". After months of attempting to resolve the problems with the owner, we eventually obtained the missing hardware directly from the manufacturer and reinstalled the blinds ourselves. read more

i recently bought a condo in JC that had bare floor to ceiling windows.. Interior Motif was recommended to me and the owner stephan came the same day for a free consultation..he helped me choose what was best for me although i had no idea what i wanted. we went with power screen shades and i must say they are great! they give me privacy but i still have my view PLUS they are motorized which has been impressing all my guests so far. since i had nothing on my windows they put up temporary shades for me for free, and i got special discounts because of a promo they are running which was awesome too.. the staff was also friendly and helpful, i was impressed overall and i will pass along the recommendation to future neighbors read more

We bought Hunter Douglas blinds from them back in 2016. Purchase experience was very smooth and quick and install was on the timeline promised. We have had to send some of the blinds out for repairs. The first time was within the first year so they handled everything professionally and quickly and was put back to new. The second time we were out of the one year period so i took the blinds to them to be shipped out and they were very helpful. Even gave us some temporary shades for out daughters room to help keep the light out while it is being repaired. While i wasn't amazed with Hunter Douglas, Interior Motif makes up for it. read more

The consultatn Stephan came with lots of samples and new just what to suggest for my decor. I live in the Maxwell in Hoboken so he already had all the measurements. I placed my order that day and my shades were installed 2 weeks later. I decided to redecorate my apartment and Interior Motif has made the whole process of dressing my windows so easy.
