Patches on wall which were created from not priming the wall

This company is highly uncoordinated, overcharged us, and did a very poor job with our flooring project. The other reviews seem like the company bribed people to write those bc they are very far from what we experienced 1. We drove an hour plus to pick a flooring option and were told it was in stock but were informed later that it wasn't and we had to drive all the way back to pick another option -- they informed us a 2nd time that it was available and later informed us that it was not and we had to start the process all over again. Being 9 months pregnant and living away from my home due to the flooring issue was a massive inconvenience for us 2. They overcharged us by adding 60 sqft extra to our estimate (on top of the 10% max wastage per industry practice). We only caught this when the insurance company's and their own sister company's estimate did not match. When we inquired, the owner lied to us that the extra 60 is allowed per industry standard -- we verified with the insurance company after and inquired with other flooring experts and they informed us that this is not expected. This costed us an additional 1.5k. 3. We hired their sister company to move / reattach appliances for us. They dragged the appliances on the newly installed floors and we had to get them redone. This further deteriorated the quality of the floors due to stripping an extra layer 4. They placed the new wood logs in another room that we weren't getting done. They damaged it. They repaired it later but it added more time to our project which we couldn't afford with a newborn. 5. The owner sent us a surprise charge of 600 for cabinetry work that we never approved when we asked him to back out items that were not performed in the original estimate -- he pretended to removed those charges only to introduce a new charge that we never approved to cover his margins 6. The owner added painting as a line item in the estimate. We thought it was around the edges of the baseboard which was getting detached and reattached for the flooring work which was covered by the insurance company. We later discovered that they extended the painting to the top and center of the walls in areas that were nowhere close to the floor or baseboard. This was bc their crew put their dirty hands on our walls and they tried to cover it up. -- we discovered this when we saw stains on our bathroom walls which they forget to cover up. They did touch ups on our existing wall without applying primer (which is a basic step that any legit company would do) which created patches on our walls that we will have to cover at our own cost since the insurance company refused to pay to areas that were not part of the flooring project 7. They did not install one of the cabinet drawers properly. We will need to hire another company to fix this. Worst part -- the owner offered us 200 bucks for all the issues above. The 60 sqft extra costed us an extra 1.5k on our project not to mention all the rework and an additional month or so that was added to our project due to all the careless mistakes with flooring selection and the floor damages.

Candi's crew did an amazing job replacing the carpet in my son's room and stretching the carpet upstairs for us. Thank you!

We had to have our floors done quickly and the team was responsive and did great work. This was even more critical because we had to lead the entire project from out of town. They had to blend the flooring with planks from another room and you couldn't tell the difference at all!!!

We had the carpet taken out on the second floor and LVP flooring installed because of allergies with the kids. Candi had amazing communication the whole time and Responded immediately to every question. It was great they had a show room so we could physically see the flooring, and even after a trip up to Dalton Georgia we went with them because of the quality of the flooring, price and because with their package it was so easy. The install team worked hard and fast. We watched them prep the floor by leveling and nailing down all the boards and it's been squeak free. It's been more than two months and it's held up extremely well and I highly recommended them for any flooring project.

He asked us to sign a settlement agreement forcing us to update our genuine review instead of just refunding us for the mistakes

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. BUYER BEWARE! IF you have no choice but to go with this company, record all their calls and install cameras, and get multiple estimates because they will lie and rip you off! This is the worst company and the owner is extremely malicious. I'm writing my independent review and experience post my wife's comments below. My wife was hospitalized due to all the stress this company brought us. He reached out after my wife's initial review below making it seem like he was open to correcting the mistakes and refunding us, but he called us names (Called us petty for asking us for the floor warranty due to the damage that they left causing them to refinish therefore we weren't sure if the warrant would still apply). He tried to bribe us to update my wife's genuine review and when we refused to do it, he refused to give us a refund. When we pointed out this is illegal and that we would report him to ftc and yelp, he started backing out. Including the text exchanges in the screenshots as evidence. He tried to make us sign a settlement agreement prohibiting us from writing and updating our reviews. We also filed official complaints with BBB and the Georgia consumer protection department but this company refused to respond and repay us. On top of all this, his response below is absolutely absurd and he's trying to lie to justify and lie to more potential customers!

Had a great experience with Into the Woods flooring. I needed engineered hardwood in my master bedroom (less than 300 sq ft), preferably matching the existing hardwood in the hallway. I checked with 4 different flooring places, and Into the Woods gave the most professional impression and a good price- not the cheapest of the 4 (not the most expensive either, and all were within a few 100 dollars), but itemized and came with a call from Candi walking me through the line items so I knew what exactly I was paying for. Candi put in special effort at multiple stages in the process at no extra charge. She helped get samples sent to me to match the existing wood, and managed to schedule the work on a tight timeline to accommodate me. From our first conversation to laying the floor was 2 weeks. The floor looks great! I also visited their showroom in Suwanee, which isn't large but the service was friendly and there was plenty of woods/vinyls/etc to see.

Gap in front door area (costing more money when it should have been done correctly the first time)

Lack of attention to detail. They did a rush job and left gaps and cracks between the wood floors. Wood glue coming up through cracks. The wrong wood was used on our stairs and had to be redone, had to wait over a month to fix it, then they didn't finish it and had to come back out a week later. Quarter round trim was installed sloppily. Our front door can no longer be opened fully because of the new height of the hardwood--which was not detailed and no solution was given from the company other than I'll "just have to deal with it or fix it myself." When they originally came out to do an estimate, I asked for a new flush seamless transition between the kitchen and sunroom because the floor levels were different between the two rooms. There was an old piece of wood that transitioned the floors that came with the house but it was about an inch step up/down, not a seamless flush ramp. They said they could give us what I was asking but instead they just repainted that transition piece that was already there and put it back exactly how it was before. The other alternative would have been to completely raise the floor which would have added thousands to the overall cost. Overall a very frustrating experience--I would have rather paid a premium for a more experienced installer to do it in retrospect.

After completing the entire process, I have to say this was the most pleasant experience you could have when refinishing your floors. First there's the communication, which was top notch. Through every step of the process Shamus and his wife Carrie kept us informed of everything happening. This was a big peace of mind and helped us understand the process. The men who did the work were courteous and extremely polite, answering with "yes sir" and "no sir". Sadly you don't find that much anymore. Their work was as impressive as their manners. So upon completion we are so pleased with the way things were handled and the amazing results...I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. To close, I wholeheartedly recommend Into the Woods Flooring and would absolutely use them again. Do yourself a favor and give them a shot when getting your estimates.

Into the Woods did an amazing job with the flooring in our basement. We had them put LVP throughout most of the rooms and rubber flooring in the workout room. It looks incredible. Candi and Shamus are absolutely the type of business owners you want to partner with on floor projects from small to big. In my case, they helped me manage floor replacement for the entire 1st level at our rental property, including but not limited to - scheduling, consulting, taking pictures of before and after, communicating ideas and adjustments, moving furniture in and out. Into the Woods Flooring did an excellent job overall. I'm extremely happy with my new floors. Everyone with the company was extremely nice and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The only thing negative I would say is that calls weren't returned promptly when trying to lock down a day for installation. Once that was done everything was extremely smooth. Dimitri and Pedro were two of the guys that came to the house and completed the installation. Both were very nice and pleasant. They stayed late to get the job completed. My Wife and I recently moved to the Gainesville area and we could not have asked for a better flooring company to deal with. Candi has been an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the whole process. She always returned our calls promptly. From start to finish the owner and supporting team and installers were all easy to work with and did a great job helping us choose materials and provide estimates and help us work with our insurance agency. It was a flood claim at my mothers house. A lot of furniture had to be moved in a lot of demo had to be done but these guys were pros and could not have been nicer or easier to work with. The glowing 5-star reviews are absolutely true and well deserved. I was looking to install vinyl plank in my condo, which turned out to be an unbelievably stressful ordeal that took 8 months and 4 different companies to get done. I requested a Yelp quote on a Tuesday afternoon after my 3rd company fell through. Candi responded to me within 20 minutes with a fully broken down estimate based on what I told her about the job. Not only was the estimate lower than my previous 3, but she also quickly provided documentation I needed for the HOA. On top of that, she was able to meet my tight timeline and schedule my install for that Friday. I was a bit nervous about them committing to the job sight unseen, but I took a chance and submitted the requested deposit. Sure enough, on Friday morning 5 contractors showed up with my material in tow, ready to work. Carlos and his team were diligent, quick, friendly, and professional. By 5 pm the floors were completely done, job site cleaned, and furniture put back in place. The installers made sure I was satisfied with the job - I was, could not have asked for anything more. I am thoroughly convinced my previous attempts didn't work because I wasn't hiring the right people. Into The Woods are the right people. Please do not hesitate to hire them; they will take care of you. I'm actually hoping someone I know will need a flooring job done soon, I can't wait to recommend Into The Woods!! read more

These guys are fantastic. Candi really knows the products and is very responsive. Shamus bends over backwards to make the customer happy. We found a wood color we liked at a big box store but got nervous about their reviews. We brought the sample to Candi and she was able to get one of her manufacturers to match the color for us at the factory. I will use these guys for any future flooring products. read more

I am just getting around to this review but these guys are INCREDIBLE!!! I had them done a few months ago. I've never had any home renovations done before. So I was nervous On which company to go with. I had estimates from a few different ones, and Shamus beat them all by a longshot! But not only that, his genuine approach of wanting me to be 100% happy with the job is what made me choose to go with him. He has so many different samples to choose from, he told me why he got into this business in the first place, and he answered all Of my questions - All gazillion of them! Is wonderful wife Candi was also so helpful in the payment process. The best part!? Good job took less than seven hours to do! I got my living room, kitchen, and both bathrooms done. We have hired many different contractors for various house projects and have had experience with several flooring companies now. Into the Woods Flooring is the BEST company we have worked with - we were actually sad they only did flooring, because they were the most competent, reliable, and friendliest company we ever had the pleasure to work with. They had the best deals on materials, which we purchased directly from them because the quality and prices they offered were unbeatable. Their work teams stayed on schedule, cleaned up after themselves, and were always willing to answer all of our questions - and we had a lot, since they looked so confident and adept at what they did! They were like our Google search engine for all things flooring-related! Candi and Shamus, the wife and husband owners of Into the Woods are also one of the nicest people we have met here in GA. They were always very easy to get in touch with, and would go the extra mile to alleviate our concerns, accommodate our extra needs, and make sure we were satisfied. I had a project to replace carpeted stairs and landings with hardwood that matched my existing hardwood floors. I was very nervous about this project b/c it was a big expense and I wanted it to look good and match. I had about a half dozen estimates and I choose Into The Woods and I'm so glad I did. First of all, they are nice! Second, they are patient (I had a ton of questions). Third and most important, they are really good!! Just had a pleasant experience with ITWF with replacing carpet in several rooms with hardwood floor. We hired ITWF to replace the carpet in a few rooms for a house we recently bought. I was nervous as it was my first major home project. But they quoted very well and their reputation is well earned. Ricardo showed up the day before, very friendly, and delivered the material. They got to work the next day and while the work stretched into Saturday, they were professional the work top notch. They even came back on Monday after my wife changed her mind on something. Really a great company. You cant go wrong hiring them. There are way toooooooooooooooooo many flooring companies in metro Atlanta for this crap. Finding a carpet company in Atlanta is as easy as finding a Waffle House, except Waffle House is open to customers and not employees are rude on the phone.

Shipping went off without a hitch and the flooring was perfectly packaged with slip sheets between each plank and bound with the surfaces inward to avoid any abrasion. In short, working with Art and Vintage Pine Flooring was an excellent experience. My installer commented several times on the excellence of the product and how well the tongue and grooves were machined for a perfectly tight fit. We selected the aged natural finish, with distressing and optional saw marks. We couldn't be more pleased with the end result!

During the selection process, the representative was friendly and helpful, which gave me confidence in my decision. However, about two years ago, the quartz began to chip multiple times, not just once. Unsure how to handle it, I contacted my builder, who advised me to contact Stone Showcase directly. Unfortunately, that proved unproductive. When I visited the store, I spoke with Hillary, one of the managers, who asked whether I had completed the warranty paperwork. I explained that I had gone through my builder and never received any warranty documentation. Rather than offering a solution, she dismissed my concerns and told me I needed to contact the fabricator, even though the quartz itself came from their company. To make matters worse, this would likely mean additional cost on my end for a product that is clearly failing. The fabricator has not returned my calls, which has only added to my frustration. During my interaction, Hillary spoke to me in a condescending manner and implied the chipping on the edges of the countertop might be due to improper cleaning, handing me a care sheet as if that explained the issue. I chose quartz over granite specifically for its supposed durability, and from the recommendation of their sales rep., so this explanation was both disappointing and unconvincing. At this point, I'm left with damaged countertops and no resolution. Based on my experience and no resolution. Based on my experience, I would be very hesitant to do business with a company that does not stand behind its product or support its customers when issues arise. Overall: extremely poor customer service and lack of accountability.

My experience with Into The Woods Flooring was wonderful! Our floors look gorgeous! Excellent work and done in less time than expected. This is the kind of company that I like to refer to all my friends and family because of the level of quality, professionalism and communication. Owners Candi and Shamus are very lovely, friendly people and excellent communicators. In preparing to have our wood floors refinished after water damage I felt a bit overwhelmed with all the details and decisions that had to be made. From the beginning to the end of the project I had many questions and concerns. Candi and Shamus were usually available immediately to help me and if not were great about getting back to me very quickly. That means a lot me. We moved out for a few days during the floor work and when we needed to return to look at color samples, we appreciated that the crew was masked and maintained distance. Into the Woods was one of three companies I had quote my hardwood/carpet replacement project. The big box company sent a person out to measure who knew nothing about flooring. The entire quote was handled without a flooring professional setting foot in my home. The second was one of the big national flooring companies. Their sales rep only seemed interested in how much he could upsell me. Candi and Shamus were, by far the easiest to work with during the biding process. There wasn't a huge price difference between the three, but I felt confident that Shamus would be the one to provide a quality job. I wasn't wrong. Juan and his crew were phenomenal! I figured that my house would be a wreck for at least a week. They finished up in 2.5 days and it looked great. Cannot recommend these guys enough. We had them refinish the wood floors on our main floor and install hardwood upstairs and on the stairs. We had just bought the house and told them we were eager to move in. They ended up starting the following Monday and everything was done by the end of the week! It all looked flawless to me, but when Shamus came by to check on the work at the end he noticed a minor flaw in one board (that I probably never would have noticed). Still, they had the guys come back right away and replaced it. Now it truly is perfect. The only thing that changed from our original quote was when they began working on the stairs they noticed an issue with how the stairs were built that required some extra work. We had wood in the passageway, and needed two adjacent rooms on either side of the passageway along with stairs changed from carpet to wood, and the stain matched to the existing stain. Candi was very responsive and stayed in contact often so I always knew what was going on and she answered all of my questions. They did an excellent job and they're pricing was competitive with other people who do quality work. If you want a really good job done at a fair price, I would recommend you talk to this company. Shamus and his staff and crew were great to work with. We had new hardwoods installed and old hardwoods sanded, and the match is seamless! Before having the installation started, Shamus and his installers spent lots of time guiding us through our selections in stain and finish. The most professional and nicest people I have ever worked with! We needed to have a bedroom carpet replaced and found the perfect company to do it. Into the Woods Flooring was so easy to work with and the job was done on time and on budget. I relied on great online reviews when selecting a company to complete my flooring project. We had LVP installed in the majority of the house. Their crew was great - end result looks outstanding. It took them 2.5 days to demo and install everything. One of the owners personally came by the house to show us samples.
