It was a large piece of meat that was crusted with pepper outside. I liked the dipping sauce and the mashed potatoes. I also tried the kalbi ($34) which was flavorful but a little chewy at parts. For drinks I ordered the mai tai ($15) which was strong but still on the sweeter side. They have daily happy hour from 3-5pm and live music every Saturday from 6-8pm. We had a big group with kids and no reservations and they were able to accommodate us without a problem so we were very appreciative.

I've had the Aloha Burger cooked rare with fries. The wagyu patty blend was juicy, delicious and cooked to perfection according to what I love, little bloody. The pineapple, sweet & spicy aioli and the buns were so well complimenting each other. The fries were awesome and so tasty as well. The ambiance was beautiful right by the beach and very casual. The salad is full of fat (nuts, goat cheese, and dressing), but the local lettuce is really good and overall it's a very tasty salad. And you can avoid the fat by getting the dressing on the side and eating around the goat cheese and not eating all the nuts. I was a little disappointed with my 1944 cocktail. It was definitely strong in alcohol content, but the flavor was super muted compared to last time. Decided to order the hula pie because we had a discount card giving us a free one with two entrees, which we had bought anyway. It's a hulking dessert that might be crowd pleasing with a table of kids. It's much too much for one or two people, and not that interesting. I liked the chocolate sauce and the nuts, and that's all I ate. They have this at all of their restaurants, but I wouldn't pay to order it. Upon check in, we were greeted immediately and notified our table would be ready shortly. After being seated our server (Dara) approached us and took our drinks and food orders promptly. I ordered a local draft beer, it came out warm and pretty flat. We did mention it to staff and they allowed me to select another beer off their menu, which was appreciated. The food... mid, I got the ribs and "huli huli chicken" (if you can even call it that). The chicken was not like any kind of huli huli chicken I've ever had, and should definitely be renamed on the menu. Chicken was a very dry piece of grilled chicken breast, with bbq sauce on top. I took 1 bite of it. The ribs were decent enough, nothing fancy, but not bad either. This place is definitely overpriced, for a slightly better price point I would recommend Monkey Pod, it's worth the wait.
