Great lunch spot! The poke bowl was delicious, and the location is beautiful. Good service, too.

We ate here twice during our stay here at Westin Nanea. The primary reason was to spend down our resort credit. Because they offer HH 3-6 it was difficult to secure a table for three at dinner as it's first come first serve. We settled on lunch one time and dinner another time. It's the same menu with the exception of dinner where they add five additional items. The bar and grill is at the pool so lots of foot traffic. Lunch time - my daughter and I both had the wagyu beef cheeseburger on brioche bun with fries. Hubby had a poke bowl. Cocktails - hubby had a martini, daughter a lava flow, and I had a strawberry fizz. The bar has a daily cocktail special but we passed on it. The burger was huge. 1/2 lb ground beef. Cooked to order. The fries were hot and crispy. Hubby's poke bowl looked so so. Dinner time - we couldn't get a table so we split up in the bar and sat at high bar tables. Hubby sat by himself. He had a rib eye steak. Both my daughter & I had the Asian shrimp noodle dish. Hubby's rib eye came with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The Asian shrimp noodles dish came with six shrimp. The description said black tiger shrimp but the shrimp looked like frozen shrimp I get at my local supermarket back home. The noodles were temperature hot but very salty and oily. I'd pass on this next time. If it weren't for our resort credit I'm not sure we would've patronized this place. The staff was very friendly and efficient.

My wife and I stumbled into this bar for a quick drink while wandering the boardwalk from the Mahana up in north Ka'anapali, checking out nearby resorts. The staff was spot-on--friendly without being over-the-top--and the vibe felt genuinely cozy, like a spot you'd linger in. That said, it's a Westin, so brace for those upscale prices on everything. If your wallet's up for it, go ahead, but honestly, you can find drinks just as solid pretty much anywhere else around here.

Pretty average hotel pool bar "restaurant", serving a limited assortment of food items (nachos, chicken nuggets, hamburgers) and lots of basic drinks including the ubiquitous Mai Tai. Service is pretty slow (one casually-staffed line at the end of the bar if you want to order takeaway which is long all day). Best thing was the poolside service when we reserved a casabella... super attentive and kept us in beverages all day. Basic spot, basic service, basic food....

Here in late September 2024. Atmosphere is a 5, food is a 3, service is a 1.5... Prepare yourself to wait... a long time... before your drink order is taken. Then prepare to wait even longer for a food order or check-in to happen. This place has potential, but they are either understaffed... or allergic to quality service standards. At least you have the ocean and sunset to watch as you wait! Good luck!

Two words - 'lava flow' or 'mai tai' or 'vacation drink' or 'beach vibes' or 'o'hana time'. Whichever one you pick, Inu Pool Bar helps you kickstart vacation in paradise. We were frequent customers during the week we stayed at the Westin Nanea. This review is for the drinks only, ordered via the server responsible for the cabanas we were in and walk-up to the bar. Both methods were about the same. Depending on when the order was placed, there could be a slight wait due to an influx of multiple orders. Drinks are pretty good here so no complaints. They have daily drink specials where a special drink is only $10. Happy hour includes discounts on wine, beer and appetizers but not cocktails. The only one bad experience was a special drink of the day called Shark Bite (light rum, coconut rum, blue curaçao, sweet and sour, grenadine). It tasted like cough medicine, so much so that I didn't drink it. It was just terrible. Overall, Inu Pool Bar is the happy place to get our buzz on while catching some rays or lounging in the pool.

Lots of choices and they custom made a few cocktails for us!

Love this pool bar! We sat in the bar with a view of the pool and ocean! The bartenders Bradley and Sean are all about Aloha! My girlfriends and I ordered multiple cocktails! All delicious! They custom made a few for us as well! They have a few televisions if you need to watch a sports game too! Overall, the view, the service (prompt) the comfort and cocktails are all 5 stars!

I love the nachos and a delicious salad with coconut milk dressing ranch-ish, both dairy-free by request. They're my fave items here, and I eat them all the damn time when we visit. The fries are solid, too. My little one loves the kids grilled cheese sandwich with fries. Devour it as you watch NBA games at the bar, then jump in the pool. You're welcome.;)

Food was actually decent for a resort. The Poke Bowl was phenomenal. It was well seasoned. The fish was super fresh. Great presentation. It's a little spicy, but that's exactly how it should be. The portion for this dish seemed a bit small. That was really the only negative. The Asian Shrimp Pasta was also delicious. It had a great sauce. This dish also had a kick but it wasn't over the top. The shrimp were large and meaty. I would definitely order either of these again, but the Poke Bowl was the winner! Also ordered a mango cheesecake (forgot to take a picture). I didn't love it. It tasted more like lemon extract than mango. So that was disappointing. Good service. Prices were in the $20-30 range for most entrees. I would just skip dessert and order a drink instead next time.

I guess everyone has a bad night now and then. Clearly our server was in that mode. Just sort of a dowered look on her face and no warmth or personal touch. The drop in food quality is the real problem. I had the grilled fish sandwich (last two times there) and was bummed at how over cooked it was. The time before I had to send it back because it was like a tennis shoe sole. I even asked that it not be over cooked when I first ordered. Yikes!!! Pizza sauce was very thick and tomato pasty (canned?) At least the crust was good. I'm a big fan of Merriman's, but this branch is not anything like the original Wailea restaurant. Somebody in management needs to wake up and get involved. Customers shouldn't be taken for granted. For now, go to Aloha Grill.

PHENOMENAL. We shared the BBQ plate and fish and chips. The fish was so fresh and flavorful. I had to take a moment to process the magic that had entered my mouth. But my number 1? The absolute goat? THE RIBS. Those ribs were the best I've ever had. They fell off the bone and the crispy exterior was so freaking good. I have no words. I can never eat ribs again. Truly a life changing experience. The meat was tender and divine. I'll never forget my first bite when my taste buds nestled onto the crispy exterior. I didn't just taste deliciousness; I tasted the craftsmanship, the love, the determination, the flames, the seasoning, the hands that put together...dare I say the greatest ribs of all time. I could have cried as all of my pain was healed in every bite.  The fish n chips were also incredibly good, a close second. The fish made me fall to my knees and thank life for putting me on this planet so I could eat this fish today. With traditional fish n chips, the crust carries the taste, but here at Captain Jack's it tasted like the fish was born with the flavor its molecules and genes seasoned with the magic that we had devoured.
