We had planned to go to Monkeypod for dinner but it was all backed up. Leilani's got us right I for 4 right in front of the live music and an ideal sunset view. This was down below in the beach bar but no course sand around us Great attentive service and pretty fast turn around. Good music with a man and lady doing island music and other covers. The lychee martinis and lava flows about as good as they get. I would have loved a lychee garnish Two ordered cheeseburger and fries. Cooked perfect to order preferences. I ordered the bento combo and daughter got the fish tacos. The fish tacos were good and she enjoyed them. Chips pretty tasty but a basic jarred salsa My bento was fantastic overall. Fish stick and slaw above average at least. Now kalbi ribs and rice, tasty pickled veg but would have loved some kimchee! The hot wings were fantastic but really hard to eat spicy messy wings like this in public so I saved two for a snack later. Seems simple but not everyone makes good Mac salad and especially the nicer restaurants. But this was as good as I get at plate lunch places! We've gone by so many times over the years and glad we tried it this time!

This restaurant was one of the best places I ate at during my vacation. All of the food was delicious, generous portions, and came in a timely manner. My favorite thing that I ate above all else was their famous hula pie! It was so delicious.. we all shared one and we're tempted to get a second even though the portion was humongous. If you come to leilani's, you definitely need to leave room to order one of these. Also the location is attached to the whaler shopping center which is a prime spot.. recommend making a reservation especially for the restaurant part but the beach bar area isn't easy first come first serve location during the day Our servers were kind, knowledgeable and friendly. If you're in Maui you definitely need to stop by this place it's good for large groups or date night

This little beach bar was so convenient. It is right next to the beach in whalers village. We came in from the beach and checked out their happy hour. The patio was packed. The happy hour food was tasty. We ordered the coconut chicken skewers the sauce was delicious. The shrimp were crispy . The vegetable dip with flatbread was a bit flavorless and the lettuce wraps were tasty. The food was extremely small portions. I would recommend skip the happy hour and get real entrees - we all ended up hungry an hour later needing snacks. The drinks were watered down - mine was the Kimos Grog its was not very good at all. The muy bueno was better but pretty sour. Service was great the live band was wonderful. The overall ambiance was great just stick to beer and wine instead of cocktails and know the happy hour portions are very small.

Went shopping around whalers village and found this place next to the ocean front. This place did not dissapoint. We were greeted and self seated by the bar area. Our waitress attended to us immediately and asked what we would like to drink. Ordered a Beer, cocktail and bloody mary. Received all within 5 minutes. Ordered a platter of Ceviche to munch on. Overall, this place is excellent. Felt the Hawaiian island ambiance at beach front. Did not dissapoint. Great food and good service. Thumbs up!

Delicious food, no long wait, good portion and nice view. Crispy tuna was my fav, taco was good too.

Highly recommend ordering takeout becuase the line/waitlist can get crazy! I ordered their Beach Burger which was on the pricey side but unfortunately so worth it! Burger was delicious and the fries were okay.

Live music that was real! Fresh mahi mahi tacos because it was Tuesday! Local salad with fresh ingredients! Service was friendly! I'm giving it four stars because we shared the Baja fish tacos and they split it, which was awesome. However, my piece tasted horribly wrong and his tasted delicious. We swapped and agreed one was bad. Yikes.

Located in Whalers Shopping village is Leilani's on the Beach overlooking the beach, ample seating and friendly service. They are part of the Duke's, Hula's chain so they have the signature hulapie here! I had the Cobb salad it was delicious and the greens were fresh. The bento box was a great mix of kalbi, fish and chicken. The wings were tasty but definitely had some spice from the Kojujang sauce.

Came here for dinner and sat in the restaurant upper floor versus the beach bar. Nice ambience and great service. We ordered the chicken and rib plate and the garlic shrimp pasta. Both were very tasty. Good location in Whalers Village with a nice ocean view where we saw some whale action during our dinner ! Overall we enjoyed our dinner!

We ate here on Christmas Eve, scheduled with reservations made a month before. Look out for a call from the restaurant about a week before, confirming your reservation! It was very crowded, especially the whole Whaler's Village Plaza (where most stores were open on Christmas Eve, and select stores open on Christmas day as well). We were seated on the main deck, which is open-air and pretty much as beach front as possible. There were fans overhead that kept the air cool and as the sun set, the shades were lowered to block the sun rays, but still let in light. Oh, and I almost forgot, but there was a live band that created a great ambiance whether you were dining or walking by. On a side note, the bathrooms are located close to the front host station (actually outdoor entry, to the left). We ordered three appetizers; the seafood platter, crab cakes, and ceviche. Of those three, I really enjoyed the crab cakes, and seafood platter. The seafood platter had a great variety to share as a table, with lobster tails (2) , oysters (4), shrimp (4), and ahi poke (which was the best of the platter). The ceviche was still good but it was very lemon-y/citrus-y for my palate. It was made with the catch of the day, which was some sort of sail-sword fish. We ordered a variety entrees; the garlic shrimp pasta, parmesan crusted fish, sesame crusted ahi steak, and the 12 oz prime rib. If you like garlic, and want perfectly al dente pasta, get the garlic shrimp pasta! It was very garlic-y and a little salty, but really tasty and quite filling. It has cheese in the sauce so it also adds to the heavy-feeling of the dish. The parmesan crusted fish was super tender and buttery. The ahi steak was also solid, a few of us thought it was better than the parmesan crusted. And the prime rib was perfectly cooked to our desired medium rare! You can ask for fresh horseradish on the side, which compliments the prime rib perfectly! Lastly, we had to try their specialty creation dessert; the Hula Pie, which is a chocolate covered macadamia nut icecream slice, with oreo crust and chocolate fudge with whipped cream on the side. It was crazy TASTY but it took 6 of us to finish it after all of that food we had prior to dessert. On a side note, I wanted to mention that the restaurant was really busy, so take this with a grain of salt. Our appetizers came out literally 2 minutes after we ordered them. Midway to finishing the appetizers, we ordered our entrees. By the time we finished our apps, it seemed like there was an awkward gap of 25-30 minutes for when the entrees came out. Maybe that is normal, but it just felt a little long. All to say, this didn't make or break the experience, and I would say we had an excellent and great meal at Leilani's!

We were intrigued with "Taco Tuesday" , that gets me every time. So glad we ate at Leilani's. The fish tacos were AHMAZING! The best I've had, not oily, lightly breaded fish , large portion. 5/5 My husband had the Cobb Salad. It was very good! Much better value than the food court area a couple of night ago, larger salad, more flavor, just as much chicken and more variety. We will definitely go back to try other things on the menu. The service was great, the waitress has been there for 13 years, very attentive. The ambiance is an ocean view! We love informal casual dining, this review was for the downstairs bar area.

Leilani's is perfect for large parties. And the staff at Leilani's is so understanding with little kids in the group. They brought extra crayons and activity books when the kids were getting loud and rowdy. We ordered drinks right away. The POG was a nice frozen treat for the kids and they got to keep the cup to play with later. The lychee martini was pretty good, on the sweet side but it was for lunch. We also had fried calamari, ahi poke, bento boxes, Maui's farmer Cobb, and the fried chicken sandwich. The food not pictured because everyone was starving and dug in right away. But everything was also really good. I would go back just because the servers and staff there were so friendly and made it welcoming for a tired family to sit down for a meal.

We did make a dinner reservation and so glad we did, quite a few people waiting and walk ins as well when we arrived. Madison was our server and she did an incredible job, she was on it especially covering quite a few tables nothing lacked her attention and charm. I had yet to try a Loco Moco since we arrived in Maui, I have had this dish on the other islands and it's been good. Tonight I tried Aloha Mixed Plate Loco Moco, they offer it with a choice of steamed rice or fried rice so I wanted to try the fried rice. What a difference in flavor combos. The fried rice gave the dish a much richer taste than the steamed rice. The hamburger patty was incredible, I could taste the char noting it was not fried on a flat top. Excellent dish. My wife did the sirloin steak special prepared with mushrooms and onions and cooked to perfection. Juicy and flavorful and plenty of it. Cocktails were outstanding, we tried something different from our first visit. Loved the evening feel of the room, the night vibe with the exterior torches and landscape really brought the tropical feel. Then came an amazing sunset which you could experience from any table in the house. Couldn't leave without trying the Aloha Pie, so decadent and light. Glad we came a 2nd time, have to say we have not experienced the Hawaiian flavors like we have tasted at Aloha. Do try it for lunch or dinner but make the reservation because it would be sad to get there and not get to try it. Bravissimo Aloha! Ciao

While I adore and often cook a lot of Asian food I'm not such a fan of Filipino food yet around it more than any other food with family. Bad choice. After driving there from Lahaina for lunch, this dish was unavailable?? Even yelpers rave about it! So we ordered the pork belly and wanted chow fun but they only have the chicken variety? So there is a reason why the Asian restaurants we usually dine at make beef chow fun. The chicken version was bland and wanting for something else to complete it! But surely edible and nicely cooked noodles. The pork belly was ok but not slap your momma I'll go back for that good. The Mac salad was awful compared to much more affordable plate lunch places. It was flavorless, overcooked pasta, and a gritty texture! Weirdly the chairs there at the tables are low and you feel like you are at the children's table at Thanksgiving. So much so that us and two other groups including the ones that moved after ordering to our vacated table moved from the regular tables to the ones at the window with a bench on one side. We had fun joking with our replacements about that! So for the most part here it appears to be tourist clientele and not many Filipinos but my wife. I think that these exceptionally high prices for basic dishes and burgers (she asked why would people go to a Filipino restaurant and order a burger) are why not many locals eat here. And frankly most aunties make better Filipino food better at home. Glad we tried but not again. Checked off of our try try list. They didn't even have a signature dish available that we went particularly to get.

The setting alone is stunning--overlooking the Kapalua golf course with gorgeous ocean views--but the food absolutely lived up to the scenery. We started with a fresh house salad, which was simple but perfectly dressed and a great way to kick things off. For entrées: * My husband ordered the short rib, which was incredibly tender and rich with flavor. The sauce paired perfectly with the creamy mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. * My oldest son had the prime rib, and it was cooked beautifully with a great sear and topped with asparagus and a flavorful butter. * I chose the shrimp scampi, which was buttery, garlicky, and packed with shrimp. The pasta was coated in the most delicious creamy sauce and even came with toasted bread to soak up every bit of it. * My younger two ordered from the kids menu--the kids short rib and butter-and-cheese fettuccini--and both plates were generous and surprisingly elevated for kids' meals. Everything we ordered came out looking beautiful and tasting just as good. The service was attentive without being overbearing, and the whole experience felt relaxed but still upscale. If you're visiting Maui and want a spot that delivers great food, amazing views, and works well for families, The Plantation House is absolutely worth the reservation.
