    Bubbles on the patio

I swirled, sniffed, and sipped like I had opinions and by the second round, I definitely did. TL;DR: Inventions Vineyard hit the mark: perfect weather, chilled whites, and generous pours. The Muscat Canelli sang, the Blanc de Blancs popped, and the Ebullience sparkled. We came for one round, stayed for two, and left with full hearts and empty glasses. We spent Sunday afternoon at Inventions Vineyard, the kind of place where wine club members are treated like royalty with patio privileges. My wife (our household's official wine whisperer) and my mother-in-law joined me for the tasting, and the lineup didn't miss. I started with the Muscat Canelli, which was floral, fresh, and ready for its own slow-motion montage. My wife's Blanc de Blancs Chardonnay brought elegant structure and citrus sass, while the Ebullience blend in my mother-in-law's glass could've headlined a jazz club. The cheese plate came stacked like a savory topographic map; crackers, cured meats, sweet and tart fruits, pickled veg, and cheeses that didn't ask for attention but got it anyway. And yes, we added the Signature Meatballs, which were saucy, savory, and appropriately flanked by garlic breadsticks. Everything paired like it was planned by sommeliers with charcuterie PhDs. We went back for a second round of wine because... Sunday. A flawless afternoon of great wine, even better company, and a view that made time irrelevant.

Amazing - sister winery to Grape Creek Winery, Heath Brands. I'm a member at Grape Creek, so I can use my membership here. This was the last winery stop on my birthday weekend. It's definitely better to be a member. We had a tasting for 6 people with our combined memberships. Lots of fun! Our server was fantastic. So fun and knowledgeable! Of course, the wines were delicious and I got a little bonus Jenn Blossom for my birthday. So yummy! Property is beautiful. Members can sit on the patio. Tastings are inside. The almonds were to die for. I can't believe I forgot to take some home with me. Next time...

I think this is definitely the best venue out of the Grape Creek/Heath collection. It definitely has the wine cellar mixed with contemporary construction vibe. We came here for a tasting. For $30 you get to personally select 4 wines you'd like to try. I am very partial to red wines. They have wines from their Texas locations and California location. I did like their CA wines better. They are more velvety and smooth. The Rutherford was but that was really the only wine that left an impression. The others were ok. Cristy took care of us and she was engaged with us most of the time even while serving other guests. I ended up signing up for a membership.

Come here!!Ashley was an absolute pleasure while we sampled wines at Invention Vineyards! I've been to Fredericksburg many times, and somehow I completely missed this gem! If you're looking for an amazing experience with high-quality, local wine this is the place. I truly appreciate that they keep everything local and don't heavily venture into large retail distribution, which can sometimes impact quality due to high demand. They've found the perfect balance by still partnering with select local restaurants while maintaining exceptional standards. Susan at checkout was so helpful in walking us through our options and explaining the newly joined member perks. Danielle was an awesome waitress warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. She helped us select the perfect glasses and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. And Ashley truly sealed the deal on us joining! She made us feel so welcomed and gave thoughtful recommendations based on our taste preferences. Her knowledge and personal touch made all the difference. I have never joined a wine membership before... but they absolutely won me over with their kindness and expertise. 10/10 ! And the views are perfect

From the beginning of being greeted and enjoying a great wine tasting with Eve C. She made it even more special telling us about each wine.. very sweet young lady. After wine tasting we went out on the patio and enjoyed music by Redcliff. They were awesome!! I do hope the winery will continue music there. It was a beautiful day to enjoy our wine and the meatball's, delicious with great music. And all the vineyard around is beautiful!!

When we set out to do a quick stop at a few vineyards on the 290 wine trail, we researched to find the best ones not to miss, and Invention was definitely in the top 5. The majority of the wineries we visited were closer to Austin in Hye (before Fredericksburg/near Stonewall) but Invention is on the other side of Fredericksburg, so it took us a short drive (20 mins) to get there. It was well worth the drive out. The grounds and buildings are modern and have a very Italian vibe. But the wines are the real star of the show here. Everything we tried for our tasting was phenomenal. Deloris helped us with our tasting and she was so knowledgeable and friendly. She answered every question, patiently, and helped us pick some amazing wines. She also got us signed up for their wine club, which saves buyers a good deal of money per bottle and got our tasting fees comped. We look forward to returning soon to try to grab some brunch!

    Empty patio.

This place has the same snooty attitude as their sister grape creek. Empty parking lot and patio yet they always claim no room for non members. Go somewhere else. Save the time being turned away.

Invention is our newest wine clubs. What a beautiful winery. Wonderful wine, employees and ambience. Relax on the patio while sipping on an award winning glass of wine. Invention is a must visit while in Fredericksburg.

We happen to stop in to Invention Vineyards between wineries as we had heard about it from Grape Creek. Although the patio was still under construction, the tasting room is fully stocked with great wines! I loved them all and it was great to taste the difference from the Grape Creek wines. I can't wait to visit again when the patio is complete!

NOT DOG FRIENDLY. Not even on the patio. Did not have a chance to try the wines. Don't bother to stop by if you travel with a pet.

We shared a few bottles of rosé and spent way longer than we planned because the atmosphere was just so inviting. The wine bar is set inside a beautifully restored historic home, with several cozy rooms that make it feel like you're relaxing in someone's stylish living room rather than a typical wine bar. It has such a warm, welcoming vibe. We loved that they also have a piano bar with live music in the evenings, it would be such a fun place to spend an evening! The owner even stopped by our table to check on us, chat for a bit, and make sure we were enjoying ourselves. That personal touch really stood out and made us feel so welcome. Whether you're looking for a wine flight, a bottle to share with friends, or just a cozy place to unwind after shopping on Main Street, I highly recommend stopping by. The two stars is NOT for the piano player Pierson Keating, who is great, for whom I would give 5 Stars. For clarification I have had a total of 3 glasses of wine since noon and it's currently 7 o'clock and I am writing this review as I am leaving. I have a strong understanding of TABC rules and regulations, and this question was misplaced and pretty rude. Pierson, the pianist, asked my group to sing a song we requested because he was unsure of the lyrics, then the staff asked the group to sit down. Not sure if this place is catered to the older crowd or just not accustomed to having girls who like to have a good time, but I wouldn't come back here if you payed me. Staff 2.7/10. Food 6.7/10. Pianist 10/10.

This experience is so much more than a tour. It combines a tour with a little bit of education and lots of hands on experiences. The class size is limited so you really get the best experience possible. We started off with a brief intro on making chocolate and different types of chocolate along with some tastings. Then we learned about tempering chocolate, including how to do it at home ourselves, and we got to dip and decorate strawberries. Making caramel pecan turtles came next followed by a lesson on how their chocolate coating machine works. They actually allowed us to run the machine and cover a variety of goodies in chocolate like caramels, graham crackers, and the turtles we made earlier. We learned about their caramel making process then got to participate in making caramel covered popcorn. They plated up a beautiful plate of chocolates that we had made along with decorations they had demonstrated making, which we then were able to pack up and take home with us. This was an all-around wonderful, enjoyable, and unique experience that provided a great change-up from all the wineries and shopping. The staff were all super kind and helpful as well. We highly recommend the factory floor experience at Hill Country Chocolate in Fredericksburg!
