Once the defroster was replaced by an authorized repair company, it is now working perfectly even though Quick Vents insisted that the compressor also needed to be replaced at cost of an additional $1700! I stand by my recommendation to find another company to fix your appliance.

In return, the Association I am a Board member on agreed to pay an invoice immediately and get the check to them, in full, soonest possible. We delivered the check and I received a text informing me they were just placing the order (June 29th, 5 days before July 4th). When I told them what Steve told me, they apologized for his miscommunication and said they cannot do that... but they were happy to get full payment. The worst part about their policies, and banks will confirm, a Homeowner's Association has basic, guaranteed funds as the Florida statute requires owners to pay their assessments... we receive some of the best bank loans, if ever needed... He diagnosed both issues and explained it thoroughly. He left to the supplier and can back promptly and fixed both appliances. I had an issue with the refrigerator and they came back the next morning no questions asked. It turned out nothing was wrong, it just took time for the refrigerator to cool off as it had been opened for a long time the day before to allow the ice to thaw.
