Disappointed iPhone Repair Experience (July 2024) In January 2024, I had my iPhone screen digitizer replaced at this shop. At the time, I was led to believe the replacement part was original equipment manufacturer (OEM). However, I was later notified within the software it was actually an aftermarket screen. Unfortunately, just six months later, the screen froze and became unresponsive. Upon returning to the shop, the technician claimed the back of the screen was making contact with the battery, causing both to malfunction. They pointed to a swollen battery, which I couldn't notice any issue. The phone has no problem charging. While this explanation didn't sit well since the repair warranty apparently didn't apply, what truly disappoints me is the lack of transparency about the replacement part used. It's important for customers to be informed about the type of parts used in repairs. Having a repair fail within 6 months, with no warranty coverage for what turned out to be an aftermarket part, is concerning. It only takes one negative experience to damage a reputation. Because of this, I won't be returning to this shop and wouldn't recommend them to others, especially if transparency about parts used is important to you. read more

Now you can't do nothing. It's just a white blank screen like they did something on the inside of it and they said that it's my fault that they didn't do nothing wrong I will be taking them to small claims court because they quoted me 300 and something more dollars to fix the screen that they broke. This is a review after about 3 months after my screen repair. Initially I enjoyed my new screen until the screen will occasionally blank out black. It happened randomly, and there is no reason why it would happen. My iPhone was functioning, and it's even fully charged. But the screen will just blank out randomly. This is incredibly frustrating as I would need to wait until it magically works again. This really sketchy business should be something to avoid if you don't want to deal with the bullshit I just had to deal with. FOR $180?????? give me a break Little edit: when writing the review, I was just having a bad day and when my phone started blanking out, it was just over for me. In reality, this business is super quick in repairing phones, and the staff is incredibly friendly and flexible. iPhone Pros was a very great service that I am glad I had chosen. I had cracked my iPad significantly and had taken it in within the hour to not only have it repaired but also serviced. For my iPad 6th Gen, it cost $89.00+tax which wasn't bad at all. I think the only thing that bugged me the most was the wait time, however the damage to the screen was pretty bad and there was an error with the screen they had installed initially. So instead of just giving it back to me with the glitch, they made the situation right and installed another second screen to ensure that I was leaving with a quality repair. One other thing is that my home button is really hard to press into, but they said that they had repaired it due to the damage that was caused when I initially dropped it. No worries in that aspect, the it took roughly a week and two days to repair, but the repair was worth the wait. The Owner was very professional as I had kept messaging him for updates on the iPad and when it would be available. Some people would be annoyed with the constant messaging for confirmation, but he took care of my concerns greatly. Zach was also great in getting me in and out quickly, there was no gimmicks and it was very straightforward when he helped me out. All things aside, the iPad looks great! read more

Edit: so I brought my phone in on may 18th, by may 22nd I started to notice small blemishes on the screen whenever I'd slightly tap it. It didn't really bother me so I figured you get what you pay for, about 12 days more go by and the entire left side of the screen began to lift and I'm able to fit a finger nail under it. At this point I messaged the business when I had time off work to see if they'd honor their 1 year warranty replacement and they said to bring it in to take a look at it, they said that the battery is defective and is actually what's causing the screen to lift. They showed me the damaged battery to which I concurred. But at the time that I brought the phone in to get my screen replaced, my battery life was already really really bad. Which leads me to believe they willingly worked on my device knowingly while it had a defective battery. No one told me like "hey upon opening up your device it seems that the battery is quite damaged, we cannot promise a 1 year warranty with these facts or unless you also replace the battery" the extent of the battery damage they showed me on the phone does not just spontaneously happen in a matter of 2 or 3 weeks after getting the screen replaced. I feel duped and lied to. Really shady business to deal with from the start telling me completely different prices over the phone as opposed to what you'll actually end up paying at the desk all the way down to the customer service part. I'm sure they'll respond with something generic like "sir your phone battery wasn't damaged like that at the time you brought it in" to try and save face, but nah battery was definitely bad from the start. Definitely more honorable and truthful screen repair shops out there. To anyone reading this, trust when I say this, go to a different place. This place is literally just a tiny office room where you practically stand in a long hallway at a desk. Doesn't feel like a legitimate operation at all and definitely doesn't act like one either. Original review: I feel slightly misled about the prices I was given over the phone as opposed to the price I ended up actually paying at the end of the whole screen repair. Overall though it was a pleasant and quick experience, well under an hour total. The screen seems to be working as it should and looks to be a very precise job so far after a few hours of use, hopefully there will be no lifting of the screen later on. Also I wish I had gotten a text or a call when it was done instead of me having to inquire which is no biggy really but I just wonder how long I was sitting for while it was done. Unprofessional service, I would strongly recommend going to another repair center. Owner is disrespectful and will try to worm out of fulfilling the warranty they offer. They damaged my phone during the repair, causing it to randomly turn off or have a flickering screen. Every time I left the store there was a new issue with the repair the same device, causing me to come here 3 times before moving on to a legitimate repair service: 1) First time on 11/22 the screen was not fully attached after replacement 2) Second time on 12/15 the charging port screws were left out after fixing their initial error 3) Third time on 12/27 the third replacement screen had poor sensitivity, and consistently double types letters Brought in my phone due to a cracked screen and digitizer and had it fixed. The top half of the new screen wasn't fully attached, and the phone began to turn off and flicker randomly, which had never occurred prior to the repair. I came back again, but the issues continued, and the screws near the charger were left out of my phone. I had to return for a third time, where they tried to tell me these issues occurred prior to the initial repair. I spoke with the owner and he was rude over the phone, speaking over me consistently and laughing when I claimed that the damage was caused by the first repair. He claims it was caused by original damage to the proximity sensor, which is entirely unrelated to the phone turning off at random. Leaving my third repair, my phone screen has lost sensitivity and double types letters constantly to the point where I can't type a sentence without an error. Owner has refused to acknowledge the new issues as a result of the repair, and tried to claim I caused water damage to the phone, which did not occur at any point. He offered to return my broken screen from over a month ago and refund me without acknowledging the damage that his repair caused, which is legally covered under warranty. I would take the advice that he gave me at the end of our call, and go to a different repair center that can provide an actual professional service. read more
