This was one was the worst experience I've ever had. They said it would take 10 days max, but it took about a month or more. They did not come every day, and when they did come, they would arrive around 3 pm to 5 pm. They would work past midnight. Sometimes finishing around 4 am. I had to apologize to my neighbors and ask for leniency multiple times. The workers left trash (fast food bags and wrappings, and cigarette buds) around, leaving our family to clean up their trash. They also put a black covering on the opposite side of the garage where we moved our items so that they could work. But it was obvious that they did not pay attention and did not care, since the dirt got everywhere, and again our family was left to clean up their mess. The upsetting part is that these are concerns we addressed before we contracted them. And they were happy to LIE and say that everything would be well taken care of. Things get worse when they PARTIALLY COMPLETED the job. They were done covering up the garage concrete and driveway asphalt. ​Asphalt was not done evenly and smoothly. They told us they would come back when the weather got warmer and complete the job, including sealing the driveway. But even after leaving multiple phone calls, sending messages, and an email, we have not heard from them. One of the workers unplugged our freezer, which made all the food rotten and left our brand new freezer smelling like a dead body. My mom and I cleaned out all the food because the workers couldn't breathe near the freezer. they said they would get someone to come the next day to clean it, but it was already spilling over to the ground. How would we just leave it be? They tried to wash the stench away with their power cleaner, but all it did was scratch and break our freezer parts. the smell still did not leave the freezer after my mom and I used Clorox, vinegar, and baking soda. They did not compensate us for our food or our labor time to deal with their mess. They said they would compensate our food worth over $1,500.00 by not taking payment for sealing the driveway which cost $700.00. But it doesn't matter anyway, since they completely ignored our calls and message to schedule the work. The concrete job was also done poorly, there are clumps of concrete that were not smooth out and ruined our garage. I decided to trust their company and decided to go with them since Angi/Angie's List recommended them. read more

We had water leaking into our basement and the carpet was getting very wet so in a semi-panic I called iPlumb around 9am in the morning. The lady I spoke to said she could have someone here at around noon and the technician would call me before they headed over. So I wait till noon and not a word from them...I wait awhile longer and finally call but it goes into voice mail. I leave a message, thinking they would call me back soon. At around 3pm I call again and leave another message, still no return call. I decide to call another plumber so I started calling around. At about 3:30pm, the lady with iPlumb calls back and says they got backed up (of course!) and someone would be calling me soon to let me know they are headed over. I wait about right till 6pm and a technician finally calls me to tell me she is heading over. Here it is six hours past the time when they told me there would be here (noon) when I first spoke to them in the morning. I told her it was too late as I had called another plumbing company and they had someone here at our house within about an hour and a half. In fact the other plumbing company's technician had already arrived and found the problem (broken sump pump) when the iPlumb lady called me to say she was coming over. I think when I spoke with them in the morning, they probably knew that they couldn't get someone here at noon but didn't want me to call another plumber so they told me their tech would be here at noon. Then kept stringing me along until it got too late in the day when they thought it would be too late to get another plumber out. Otherwise someone would have called me around noon to say they were running late.....but I did not hear from them until 3:30pm. They fooled me but they made a mistake because now I have exposed their little game for others to see. Would advise all to avoid this company as am sure I'm not the first they have pulled this on nor the last. Update 3/27/19: Owner Angela saw my recent review and she began a slew of harassing phone calls and text messages. Early Sunday morning (3/24) while we were still sleeping, my phone began ringing multiple times and woke us up. I didn't recognize the number so didn't answer and let it go into voice mail. Later I listed to it and it was iPlumb owner Angela, calling to complain about my review I had left Saturday. I didn't return her call as I thought it very unprofessional and outright rude to call someone early Sunday morning that related a business matter. She could have easily waited until Monday and called on an appropriate day. Later that evening about 6pm, my phone started ringing again but this time from a different number.....again I let it go into voice mail. It was Angela again and she left a 2 1/2 minute rambling message; however I only listed to the first part to see who it was and didn't bother listening to the rest. She called from a different number trying to trick me into answering - a very underhanded thing to do. I didn't return her call and then she started texting me multiple times - basically continuing to harass me for leaving the negative review. I text her back to leave me alone and not to text me again or I report her to the police for phone harassment. She continued to text me even after I requested she stop so I will be filing a police report against her for harassment. I would advise anyone needing plumbing service to avoid this company else you might go through what I did. read more

Iplumb has two Yelp accounts (Leesburg and Purcellville) and my original post was removed b/c I posted on both accounts... BEWARE... they are the same company. STAY AWAY. They installed equipment that leaked TWO days after it was installed and damaged our home. This happened in Oct 2018. Months later (now April 2019) they still have not refunded us the almost $1000 we paid for their equipment. (When they did agree to refund us, they said they were going to charge us a 'restocking' fee.) When I refused those terms, they stopped answering my calls. Unfortunately after trying to give them business over a course of 3 days they never had the courtesy to follow up and return a phone call. If you are working on a project and have infinite amount of time to Chase down a plumber, this might be a great company for you. For me it's not worth the time. My experience. Made an appointment, Was given the typical 4 hour window but told tech had an on going appointment he may be later in the day. I'm a reasonable person and said OK. Day came and went , no phone call no tech. I call them the following morning. O, sorry about that - let me look into that and get right back to you. 4 hours later I called a big Box company, got the work done same day. Probably paid double, but at least it was finished. We used iPlumb yesterday to replace our water heater and fix our shower. They gave us a very competitive price and really knew what they were doing. We had gotten estimates from 5 other plumbers. It was very obvious that iPlumb was the most knowledgeable and had the most experience, especially with well water (what we are on). We are definitely going to use iPlumb again for all of our plumbing needs. We were in the middle of remodeling the powder room. My son helped to take the old toilet out, and was working on taking the sink out, when all of a sudden....WOOOSH!!!! Water was everywhere it seemed, and I panicked. I've never had to call a plumber for emergencies before, so this was challenging for me. Normally, I like taking my time to check companies out, seeing their reviews, and reading customer comments/complaints BEFORE deciding to hire anyone. But I was beyond desperate for help. I called another company initially, who SUPPOSEDLY had emergency/same day services, but was told by the receptionist that they wouldn't be able to get anyone out to my home until the following day, after keeping me waiting to hear (for hours ) whether anyone would be coming out here. Annoying. The next day (after I shut the main water valve off, mopped up all water, taped a heavy duty clear trash bag around the leaking faucet, and ran a portable fan all night to dry the floors/walls out) the plumber arrived. Apparently when my home was first being built, there were some SIGNIFICANT shortcuts being taken (***well-known*** builder's employees foolishly believing I'd never think to remodel at some point, and actually discover these blatant shortcuts). Because of these significant shortcuts, the act of attempting to remove a simple pedestal sink (without issue) became an expensive issue. The plumber from Company X (a review that I STILL need to write) eventually stopped the leaking. Or did he??? He spent more time in his truck, "looking for tools", than actually working to stop the leak (unless he was just trying to make sure that he had enough time pass, to get to 1 full hour, so he could charge the "minimum" fee?). He then returned, fiddled around for about 20 minutes, and was done. I paid a little over $200, but was glad to have the leaking stopped. Or so I thought. About 20 minutes later, I noticed that the sink was STILL LEAKING from a poorly installed cutoff valve. Boy was I pissed. I called Company X right back, explained what was happening, and was told the plumber would return in the am. No such luck. No return phone call either. Companies like these SHOULD NOT be in business, NOR should they be FALSELY ADVERTISING emergency/after hours services. I then went onto Yelp's website, to check Company X's reviews. Boy do I feel like a clown. I see other folks had eerily similar experiences as I did with this company. Never again. Frustrated, I did an internet search of "best plumbing companies in my area", and iPlumb popped up. I had never heard of them honestly, but decided to give a call. Angela was very pleasant, understood my concerns, and sent Mike right out (he drove 40 minutes just to get to my home...). Mike was pleasant, courteous (took his shoes off before entering), explained everything that was happening, and promptly FIXED my leak. Fixed as in, "I WISH a leak would try me", kind of fixed, lol . I was as excited as my dog hearing the word "Greenies", and started asking Mike for an estimate to install both a new toilet and sink. Not only did he provide me with an estimate on the spot, but also gave me a 10% military discount off my total bill for the leak (which BEFORE DISCOUNT was just about the exact same price as Company X, done in HALF THE TIME). I knew then that iPlumb would be my "go-to" plumber from now on. Great company. Great customer service. Great plumber in Mike. Great experience. They gave us excellent service when we were in a panic. On a Sunday night, my husband was collecting the trash to be taken out and noticed our basement floor was soaked. We have a finished basement, so the carpets squished when you walked and you could see heavy water lines in the walls where it had soaked through. When we entered the hot water heater storage closet it was clear water was leaking out of the bottom of the heater and water was all over the flooring. This was around 7 or 8pm. I spoke with the receptionist who was extremely friendly and attentive. I have never had to call a plumber before, so all of the different places advertising 24 hour service (we called about five to try to get the fastest service) are slightly deceiving, but she fully explained to me what it meant. Someone could come out to help us get everything off and drain the tank to stop further damage, but true replacement would not be available until the morning. We didn't have anyone come out at night and instead talked to family and used YouTube for guidance to get everything off, but we were put on her list for first thing the next day. The plumber showed up at the halfway mark in our time window (thank god not at the end of the window like so many places) and was extremely nice and informative. He was very helpful and accommodating as we had also called our home owners insurance and they had several requests made for the insurance claim. The plumber replaced our hot water heater same day and even checked on a toilet we had concerns about upstairs. Everything was done quickly and without extra hassle. I would highly recommend this company for anyone with plumbing needs as they know what they are doing and are quick about it. read more

The 4 hours are coming to a close, so I text the scheduler back who states it will be shortly after 6. I say ok. I receive a call at 620 stating the tech will be here at 7. He no shows by 740 and I receive a text from the company stating the tech came and gave an estimate. Our recent experiences with iPlumb have resulted in frustration, it seems on both sides. I'll leave the details for another time, but I think it's important for people to know that this company records portions of their in-person, in-home conversations with customers without informing them in advance. (At least, that is what they informed me that they had done in my home, and one of their staff members suggested they do this regularly.). I called iPlumb to find out about about water quality testing. Our water was hard and had a terrible smell. Angela got me on the schedule and gave me helpful information on what to expect. When Johnny came to my home he was courteous and neat and so knowledgeable about water treatment and gave me many options to consider. We eventually settled on a WaterRight system that would take care of our specific water issues. The system has been in place for over a week now and WOW what a difference. I was so impressed I signed up for a service contract that has iPlumb come out to check over all my plumbing systems 2x per year, and I never sign up for things of that nature. Bottom line... Came to our rescue with a different plumber refused to cure damages and poorly installed cutoff left our Master Bath crippled. =========== BACK STORY: All efforts to call, message, the plumber who came in January to perform work resulted in no response, leaving our Master Bath unusable for 5 months. (My husband's pain/suffering was huge as he was recovering from knee replacement surgery January 2017 and denied access to the Master Bath shower and commode the entire 5 months. He could only sponge bathe himself. He was forced to pee in the Master Bath sink or use the commode in the hallway bathroom ... but could not access the hallway bath/shower due to the high sides of the Jacuzzi tub ... could not safely enter the Jacuzzi due to the knee's condition and the meds.) When we tried to arrange help from the original installer [2012], we were denied because that firm felt the plumber who caused the damaged should return because "it is customary for plumbing companies to warranty their work for at least a year after service was made." Others we contacted did not work on tower type showers. When iPLUM [found on ANGIE'S LIST] learned of our seriously dire plight, they did not hesitate. =========== The iPLUM technicians suggested we purchase the replacement Tower Shower ourselves so as to save the costs. Was able to save a fortune by that approach to acquisition versus their company purchasing the item for installation. At their first visit, knowing it would take time to get the replacement in, the technicians corrected the cutoff to the Master Bath so we could at least use the commode. Further, because my husband was unable to negotiate the basement steps, they changed the water filter from the well water, which he had not been able to change himself. Once the replacement Tower Shower arrived, the technicians wasted no time to get it installed and correct the pipe leading to the commode which had also been damaged by the original plumber back in January. They took the time to preserve and explain the evidence of the damages we incurred. The only task remaining now is the have someone come replace the plaster board cut into the wall behind the shower by the previous plumber, as well as the additional access iPlumb needed to cut in below that first opening to provide proper cutoffs to the shower, not accomplished by the previous plumber. SPECIAL NOTE: The technicians made every effort to preserve the original tiles and integrity of the shower enclosure; great job that. All is well. The labor costs were quite reasonable given the amount of work required to cure our Master Bath Tower Shower, Commode, and poorly installed cutoff. The issue is pretty simple. My water didn't work, you suggested pulling out the entire well and replacing the pump. That would cost anywhere from 4000 to 6500 per your quote. Yes, I talked to another provider that quoted me higher. However, both you and the other provider seemed to misdiagnose the problem. An individual certified to fix wells with over 26 years experience determined the control box on the well head was broke. He reinstalled the control box and water returned immediately. He never suggested that the well was on its last legs or this was a temporary fix or not "code compliant". Although well pumps break, the reasonable fix was to replace the control box not the entire system. You presented your solution as if it was the only way to get water working in my house! Not everyone in the industry shares your opinion, including very experienced people. I am not doubting that your solution would work, but at what cost? We are talking 5k. Installing a new pump would be akin to having open heart surgery on a patient with nothing more than heart palpitations. Also, you and the other provider suggest that the control box can only be installed on the inside. The new and existing control box is geared for the outdoors. Therefore putting a control box on the outside well pump is a reasonable solution. Why two people told me it wasn't isn't entirely clear. It seems to me that you and the other provider are trying to tell me the pump, although now working, is on its last legs. And only a replacement of the pump is the best solution. What you are failing to tell me is how you draw that conclusion when faced with seemingly contradictory information from other highly experienced professionals. Everyday, I have contractors telling me my roof is on its last leg and my driveway needs total excavation. The last guy wanted to sell me a 7000 $ water filtration system while someone else would sell me one for 1800 $. People come to my neighborhood and automatically assume everyone is rich and capable of dolling out large sums of cash for simple repairs. That is not the case. If you can logically and reasonably explain why I need a new pump (despite what others have said), I will consider removing or updating this review. I think that is pretty fair. read more

Johnny is a great plumber , he is very experienced and talented. You gotta figure out how to have him work for you though...he likes short cuts..:) over all they gave me 5 star service and therefore I am giving them 5 stars....he installed water treatment system which helped improve the water quality in the house...NOT %100 percent but around %80 percent. I had a minor issue with the system last week and Michael stopped by on the same day to fix the issue. Great service and price from start to finish; I highly recommend iPlumb! The technician who gave us our estimate, Johnny O, was super helpful in laying out all the different options for our water heater replacement. He helped us decide to switch from a standard electric to a tankless gas heater which will save us hundreds of dollars a year. Their flat rate for a Navian tankless water heater included installation, the gas conversion and a 10 year warranty. Plus iPlumb sent an email that included a $400 off coupon. Sweet! (Our total cost of $4,000 was what other companies were going to charge for a standard tank with gas conversion.) Luckily we ended up with Johnny O as our service technician as well. He was awesome! Definitely try to get him if you call for services. Johnny was super knowledgeable, gave us great advice, worked efficiently and hard for over eight hours, and was very respectful. His workmanship was excellent, and he walked us through all the logistics of the new heater and new infrastructure. He was even cool about the three huge snake skins he found in the rafters. Eeew! I dealt with two great plumbers, Chris and Mike. Both times, the owner's wife took my call - the hot water heater call was after 9pm on a Monday. She explained to me how to properly drain the hot water heater and all steps that a technician would perform for an 'emergency' visit. I was very grateful that she was able to spare me the cost of an emergency tech call at that time. After verifying information, we setup an appointment for a free estimate the following day. Upon Chris showing up for a estimate, we discussed options for a tankless water heater and a more conventional 50+gallon tank. Being the ignorant home owner that I am, the education I received from Chris about all the options and maintenance required might have been worth the cost of the install alone. Needless to say, I went with iPlumb to install the water heater. Chris was back within an hour with another tech named Mike to install the new unit. The install went very smoothly and as I mentioned before, the education I received was much needed and appreciated. The service I needed yesterday (04/17/18) was for two leaky pipes - one in the basement and one in the garage. Mike was great - he was able to determine the leak locations within minutes with minimal drywall removal. Mike showed me all steps of the process as well as showing where previous repairs were made that were less than optimal. Mike took care of the two leaks pretty quickly and educated me on the proper way to winterize my two water spigots. His ability to small chat while educating me was much appreciated. This company is truly excellent. They came to our house very quickly, quickly diagnosed the issue with our water heater and installed a new one within 48 hours as they said they would. Luke especially was phenomenal during the entire process in regard to answering questions via text and calls. Luke and the other guys who helped us on this did exactly what they said they would do during every step in the process which is rare these days. read more
