I thought, why would I buy the same stone age version for that $ without asking around? I headed to Mike's where they told me it would cost 250-300 to fix it. Ugh, and the worst part was that no one was telling me what was WRONG WITH IT! Enter: IPhone, IPad, LapTop & Smartphone Repair Center (aka the longest store name ever). They should just call this place "Bruce Willis" because he saves the day in every movie. Anyway, the sweet older lady behind the counter first helped the customer before me by putting a screen protector on his phone because she told him, "I can do it better than you because I don't make air bubbles. I do this every day." Well, dang, with that confidence I waited patiently for my turn in the warm, little store. Then she takes my DEAD iPad and I told her my deal. She smiled and told me she was giving it to the magic and powerful Oz who was behind the wall (not really, but it's basically true). She comes back out two minutes later and says, "ok, 39$. You have cash?" "THIRTY NINE DOLLARS!??? Seriously? Here's 40! It's going to be ok?" "Yes, yes, just a loose connection." I wanted to hug her. And then, we hugged and held hands. The person behind the counter (the owner) said that he could order a screen today and have it done by tomorrow, around 1:30pm. I asked him how he knew it would be done by 1:30 tomorrow if the parts still had to be delivered and he answered that it was a regular delivery service so he knew how they worked. I left my phone with him and told him to just email me when he was done so I could pick it up tomorrow afternoon. The next day he emails me one sentence saying that the parts would not be delivered until Monday. At this point, I'm annoyed I wasted a day when I specifically inquired about the delivery times, and could have gone somewhere else to get this taken care of, on Friday. I went back to the store to just pick up my phone so I could find a quicker solution. When I arrive he has my phone in front of him, taken apart. I told him I couldnt wait until Monday so I just wanted my phone back. He tells me that there's no other place that can get it faster anyway (lie), I tell him it doesn't matter, because I already wasted a day after he had lied about the timeframe and now I just wanted my broken phone back. He then asks me if I want him to put the separate parts of my phone in a bag, and I told him I wanted my phone back the way I handed it to him yesterday. He tells me this is *impossible* because he already took off the screen and it has *shattered* and it *is in the garbage*. I'm already annoyed by the fact that he lied about the service he was promising, and now he had created a brand new problem. I'm not sure if he thought this move would make me just throw my hands up and be like oh, okay, well I guess I'll stick with you, and just happily wait an additional two days for a screen replacement?! He then (finally) offered to source the parts locally for *more money* - but only after what started to become an unnecessarily hostile exchange where he reminded me I was "lucky" he was trying to help me at all due to my "attitude." ...my attitude being complete shock that he took it upon himself to further destroy my phone? I explained that while I came here with one problem (a screen that didn't work) he had created this new problem for me, and was refusing to admit that he did the wrong thing. I told him i just wanted what was left of my phone in a bag and that I regretted ever trying to support his business, to which he responded with "that's fine, I dont need your support, I have plenty of support."  I'm really not sure how places like this stay open and I told him that, also pointed out his complete lack of customer service skills to which he said "i dont give a shit about customer servicing you." He then called me immature and selfish for not wanting to wait the additional two days and still pay the originally quoted price.  Save yourself the stress and avoid this place when it comes to important electronics. I ended up going to The Fix in Queens Center Mall after leaving here with my parts in a bag; they were professional and fast and didn't even insult me!

When I found out the fingerprint reader wasn't working, I became worried that they would claim it was already broken when I brought it in and I would have to pay extra. The technician fixed it right away and did not charge extra. While I was waiting, the cashier at the front also searched around to give me a complementary case for my phone. This was totally unexpected. I have heard horror stories about cellphone repair stores. I was pleasantly surprised. Both the cashier and the technician were very courteous and my phone has been working well for the past month. I highly recommend this place. Note that they accept cash only. I saw a Venmo picture so they may accept that as well but it is better to check.

My iPhone nightmare began when I decided to get my iPhone fixed here. My phone was perfectly…read morefunctional until I decided to fix my iPhone screen here after seeing the great reviews. It took 15 minutes for them to fix my phone. I left with a malfunctioning iPhone button and a swapped out metro card. I took the train to get the 8th ave with an unlimited. Stupidly, I left my labeled unlimited metro in my phone case when I handed it to the man to have it fixed. When I left to take the train, I didn't realize I had my metro card swapped out. I only had noticed when I arrived at the train station and was unable to swipe in. I ended up returning to the store and the man continued to deny swapping out my metro card, thus on top of paying $60 to have my iPhone6s screen replaced, I had to add money to a brand new metro card that was switched out with my unlimited metro card. When I left the store my iPhone button was also glitchy. It would occasionally work and not work, it was random. However, the owner said it's fine. (The screen is a third party, not Apple certified screen that was made cheaply, but it basically looked the same. After a week or so, I had to begin using the AssistiveTouch because my iPhone button worked rarely and randomly. I basically paid 60$ for a screen that isn't cracked, but a button that doesn't work and to get my unlimited metro card swapped out for a new one that had nothing in it. I ended up getting a new phone after the button quit, but I feel like my first iPhone was the best iPhone even after an upgrade. That's just my own bad experience. Tldr;They know what they're doing, but you're getting what you paid for, a non Apple certified usable 3rd seller screen/ product. Also don't leave anything but your phone with them. Response to comment from owner (I PMed this as well): I was NOT there for the 15 minutes, I stepped out to run an errand while my phone screen was being replace, and I did NOT return to the store a week after because it wasn't worth going back for a button when I could just purchase a new phone. It was just upsetting that my metro card was stolen thus, I felt this review was necessary. I also did mention that this was MY experience and that the technicians were capable of doing their job. In addition, when I confronted a technician/worker, nobody mentioned that there was a camera, they simply stated "no". Never got a response back.

I cracked my new iPhone 8 screen a month after I purchased it. This was the first time I ever had a…read morecracked iPhone screen. The phone still worked so I figured I could get away with it but upon further reading I learned that this could damage the phone even more. As a result I called around to the local four and five star rated iPhone screen repair shops. Many were priced quite high, did not have a white frame in stock, or required an appointment and then a 45 minute to 1 hour wait. Fortunately I found E-Tech. The woman who answered the phone was friendly and professional. She told me that I did not need an appointment, they have the white frame in stock, and their price was much more reasonable than the competitors. Additionally, my wait was much shorter than the other companies. When I came to pick up my repaired screen I was impressed by how beautiful it looked (again). They also gave me a complementary tempered glass screen protector. (free with Yelp Check In) They also informed me that the screen had a warranty should there be anything problematic with it. I am glad I found E-Tech. I hope nothing ever happens to my phone again but if it does I will come back here
