I feel compelled to post about the outstanding service I received at Philly iPhone repair. After searching for a shop that would repair my cracked LG Spectrum smartphone screen, I found this place. It was in an easily accessiible location, right near South and Broad, and it got a great Yelp review. As far as price, they were comparable to the few other places I called for an estimate. No one wants to spend money replacing a cracked screen, but compared to spending hundreds of dollars on a new phone, this was a lot less expensive. It took only a couple of days to order the part needed for the repair. Once I dropped off my phone, they estimated that it would take, at most, about 1.5-2 hours to replace the screen. I was pleasantly surprised when they called me less than an hour later to say the repair had been completed! Also, I got a 5% discount for checking into their shop on Yelp. The guys at the shop were super nice and gave great customer service. The prices were fair and the service itself was outstanding. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a smartphone repair. read more

SEE LAST PARAGRAPH FOR SUMMED UP VERSION: I broke my LCD to my Galaxy S3 and needed it fixed quickly. This place was the closest, but certainly NOT the cheapest. I thought the $200 (for an old Galaxy, mind you) would be worth it though. My phone was back within a week and I was happy. 2 weeks later my screen started to go out. I brought the phone back and the (only) person that works at this location said that the part must be defective and that he'd order a replacement. My phone worsened over the next few days to the point that I could no longer use it. The following week I still had not heard back from them, so I called myself. He said the part was shipped. 3 days later I heard nothing from him once again, so I asked him to email or call me when it was in (at this point it was past the 2-3 day shipping guarantee). One week from when I first brought the defective LCD in I still heard nothing. I stopped by the shop and there was a sign saying that they were CLOSED FOR THE NEXT 5 DAYS. I was going out of town the next day, mind you. I called the only other shop and explained my issue. The owner said that he'd return my call in half an hour to see what he could find out. Over an hour went by and I still had heard nothing. They were closing soon, so I decided to call myself. He stated that there was nothing they could do. I told him that they MUST give me either a temp phone or find another store that had my part. He told me to come in and he'd give me a temp. I travelled out of my way to them. I asked about a refund for all of my troubles this past week (being unable to use my phone, not being able to get in contact with anyone from the store, not being updated regarding the status of my order or that they would be closed for almost a week as I waited patiently for the replacement, etc.). He simply told me that I would NOT BE RECEIVING A REFUND and that they receive defective parts OFTEN, not their fault. I continued to explain the things that I'd been through as a PAYING CUSTOMER who was given a defective part and he still would not budge. Long story short, I have never been as DISSATISFIED with a business's services as I have this one. They did little to nothing to assist me after I gave them $200 of my hard earned money to fix something that was not properly fixed to begin with, showed no empathy for me having to travel back and forth and out of my way (costing me not only money, but valuable TIME), the owners were very RUDE, and I was very displeased with the actual service (needless to say since I was forced to go another WEEK without access to a phone). read more

This might be redundant, but yeah. I came in, was met with great service, and since there were only three other people in the store, the screen of my iPhone 5s was replaced in under 15 minutes. Returned to phone about a half hour later, it was so hot I couldn't touch it (Wasn't connected to a charger). Took it to another store (South St) because the service center I went to the day before was closed. Waited 2 hours to find out phone was shot. Was offered a refund O_o? What would be better $97 for a screen replacement and a working phone or buy out contract $250 to get upgrade on a new phone and still have to purchase a new phone O_o? I walked into Philly iPhone Repair without an appointment. They determined that the power button was a simple fix, and for $50 plus tax had it fully operational in less than 25 minutes.
