Out of bacon! Really? How can you run out of bacon? Then can't order a salad without the bacon because the "chef" won't allow changes to his dishes. Had something else which was OK, but not spectacular. Basically self service with a number on your table, then they ask for a tip when you pay. Beer selection good if you like Hoppy. I walked in there in what should have been a very busy lunch time (only three people, myself included) to get a gift certificate for a Christmas party, and was treated to very cold customer service from the feckless woman behind the bar--as she stared me up and down with disdain. I tried to lighten the event by commenting how nice the place looked and what a great job they did renovating the facility. She would have none of it. She must have been an owner, or one of the brewmaster's wives, because I can see no other reason to have this type of person serving the public in the hospitality trade. Sorry if my plain, clean Champion hoodie sweatshirt and turtleneck underneath weren't cool enough for you, lady. I certainly won't be selecting this present at the gift exchange. Love this place! Great atmosphere, great staff. The beer is unlike any beer in the US. Been all around and never found anything quite like IGB. Hoppy, interesting and always something new! The new location is just as warm and inviting as the old, with more space and the addition of a small, but robust menu. I ordered the beer cheese soup and it was incredible! Just a cup for $3 was enough to fill me up with the beer. Perfect and affordable. I cannot say enough great things about this place! read more

I live right across the street from this place, and pretty much when I rolled in there at 9:30 they said the ovens were down (even though they weren't) they say they're open till 11 but the bartender was really rude and rushed the shit outta my group. If you do decide to eat at this place I highly recommend eating during the daytime because they don't give a f*** about you during the night. Been to the new location several times now and enjoyed several IPA's and other beers. The Head Butt IPA and the Impaler are first rate beers. Ignore all the whiney complaints about service. You can get great service at a brewpub that serves lousy beer because nobody goes there. These guys serve up a nice cold brew with no off-flavors. Went to this place for beers and laughs to celebrate a friend's completion of a professional certification. The wait staff apparently thought that it was inappropriate to actually celebrate and toast while at a BAR. Apparently they prefer quietude and board game playing while you dutifully consume their beers, as opposed to good cheer. Their new home is spectacular. Its large, open, airy, and with a touch of that industrial chic look. Decided to try the food menu which just started the other day. They have salads,about 5 varieties of neopolitan style pizza, a soup, and two pita sandwiches. I went with the chickpea-chicken sandwich, which comes with a small side salad. Its was really tasty, I am looking forward to them getting the patio ready outside for the music. Service was very friendly. The ale was excellent as well. My first visit, and will not be back. $10 for a basic salad with the nastiest tofu I've ever eaten. My friend got the side salad for about $4, and hers was only a few bites smaller than mine, so inconsistent portion sizes for the price. I couldn't eat the tofu in the salad. I tried one piece, which was totally spongy, but thin, and sopping with some mixture of what tasted like straight vinegar and sriracha. No one at my table could eat it. I tried soaking up some of the liquid with a napkin, but would have needed a full roll of pepper towels. The salad itself was fine, but not exactly a $10 value. read more

This is a great edition to Downtown Spokane. I tried their flight and was not disappointed by any of the 6 beers I tasted. My least favorite was one of their stouts but I am not a stout person to begin with. The service was fast and friendly. I will be back on my next visit to Spokane. read more

With a sad heart I am giving only 2 stars, but only for the food. The beer cheese soup is a salty gloppy mess (potatoes in beer cheese soup?) and the garbanzo bean pita was bland and dry.
