We hired ArborPro Tree Experts in December '25 to remove some dead trees from our property and trim up trees surrounding our home. A consultant from the company came out and we discussed in detail what work we wanted done because I knew it was a big job/ask and I didn't want anything miscommunicated. It was going to be expensive as well. We were reassured that the task was not too big and they could handle it. A crew came out and removed the dead trees, killing several plants in the process (Fine, that happens), the trimming of the trees along the house were done so poorly, lines were like ocean waves not linear the vegetation touching the house was not cut back as requested, the hedges by the road weren't touched. The work was so sloppily done I requested that they come back to further clean up and complete the work I had requested. Something I have NEVER EVER had to do. I would usually just suck it up as a learning experience and finish the job myself but this was BAD. A consultant came back out and agreed the work was sloppy BUT I would have to PAY EXTRA for it to be completed the way we had previously discussed. After negotiations a few days later another crew came out and completed the job...or so I thought. It still wasn't to my satisfaction but it was significantly better than they left in initially so I moved on. Fast forward to current time. We were having some preventative work done on our home, which included having our sewer scoped. When a technician went under our house to inspect the sewer line, he couldn't. He took photos to show exactly what had been left behind by ArborPros. Turns out all the debris that had been cut up had been dumped haphazardly under our house. A large pile of branches, leaves, and TRASH (drink containers, food waste) were pilled so intensely right ontop of the sewer access we weren't able to have that service performed. Not only was this company one of the most expensive companies we've given money to, they were also the most insultingly unsatisfying. It's sad to work with people who take no pride in there work, but also don't mind running their employers name through the mud. I couldn't refer this company any less. This is also the first time I have ever written a company review, but it had to be done. Very sad.

My experience was mixed. I initially wanted a quote to remove a street tree that was damaging a…read morepublic sidewalk. We discussed the possible issues regarding city tree removal permitting, site specific challenges etc. and received a quote of $2700 to remove the tree and grind the stump. I filled out and returned the permit application and waited for city approval. Approx. 6 weeks later I got a call from Evergreen and was told the city denied my permit for a few reasons but that they would allow a structural pruning and gave me a quote for two trees witch was almost as much as the one tree removal. I went ahead and approved the work and gave a deposit. Later I sent an email to the city arborist asking for clarity on why the permit was denied and was told their office had no record of the denial yet. I was a bit annoyed that Evergreen made it sound like the denial was a done deal and scheduled the pruning before any official denial was recorded or given to me directly by the city. I would have waited until it was officially denied in writing before proceeding. If there was any chance that the permit had been approved I likely would have had to eat the pruning cost for the one tree AND paid the removal cost later.

This helped us save money on the initial assessment and being able to clean up both sides at the same time was helpful for everyone. The 1st day I had an amazing team I called the climber and the carrier. Both of these gentlemen were not only highly efficient but totally thorough, knowledgeable and professional about everything they did. I actually have to admit my backyard is getting sunshine for the first time, and it's so uplifting. The second day I had the same climber, but a different carrier, and I was nervous that it would not be as good as the first day. Not only did they meet all my expectations, but at the end of the day, every carrier and climber were in the backyard, picking up the final branches, right down to the tiniest of twigs. It's almost embarrassing that my backyard has never looked cleaner than it does today. I had 3 estimates and cutting plans developed with 3 different companies before Joe Grab came into our lives. They were kind enough to review the prior plans and assured me that they too were going to follow similar plans of cutting hangers and deadwood, and thin out so that there are not problems in the future, for much less money. I can't even guesstimate how many pounds of material they took out of here, but I'm sure it ran in the thousands. I live on a property with 4 free-standing condos. We have a common area that is required by the HOA…read morerules to be maintained. I has asked for a quote for the entire property, including all 4 private fenced-in areas. They replied with a quote of around $400, so I accepted and paid the fee. Then, they upsold me on the added weed-killer treatment, so I paid more for that. Then I was advised they had to come out a few days before the yard work to do the treatment, so I agreed. They came out and sprayed for weeds, but missed several spots and completely missed the private areas, however, I did not even realize they only did the common area until later. Additionally, they sprayed my neighbor's very beautiful ground cover in the parking strips in their driveway and killed the entire large patch of plants! Later that week, they came to finish the yardwork, and much to my dismay, when I returned home, they had missed the private areas. Also, I could not tell any difference in the common area from before they had allegedly done the work. Also, to my confusion, they had not touched the private areas! The yard people we paid much less money we had before did the entire property, and I mean they were out there for 5 straight hours, raking up all pine needles and hauling them away and really making the place sparkle. I looked at my RING Camera and watched them. These guys were out there for less than one hour. Didn't rake up anything and missed many weeds all over the ground! I'm not even sure what they actually did, since everything looked the same. I contacted the company and they were a little dismissive about it all. I advised them that my quote request was not just for the common area, but for the entire property, and I even showed them in the original email request. The only reply was basically, "oops, sorry", and a new quote for around $1200!!! I also informed them they killed all of my neighbor's ground cover plants, they didn't seem to care much about that, either. Additionally, we discussed the lack of actual effort put forth by the work crew, and again, just "sorry". I was going to remain silent and just chalk it up to having made a VERY BAD decision by hiring this company and apologize to my neighbors, profusely. They were very prompt in responding to my inquiry of an estimate. In deciding to go with them, Gordon and his crew were outstanding and amazing in their removal of the trees without any fence or deck damage. And, all in one day! Their clean up of all the debris was impeccable, including replacing heavy yard items I had not been able to move out of their way initially. My neighbors even complimented their courtesy, professionalism, and care as they had to clean up a bit of lighter debris that had fallen into their yard. Oh, and they were significantly less in their estimate and final cost than any other company I received estimates from. Quality Performance was used to trim a laurel hedge and remove a tree on the property line with my…read moreneighbors. The trimming and tree removal went fine, but they neglected to trim about 6 ft of the laurel hedge. In the written estimate that all parties agreed to it stated "reduce laurel to 10ft." When I called Quality Performance to discuss finishing the laurel job they explained that the whole hedge was not part of the estimate. I explained that nowhere in the estimate did it say they would not trim back the entire hedge. They began blaming my neighbor for the miscommunication when it is Quality Performance's responsibility to clearly indicate what is to be completed in the estimate. When I read "reduce laurel to 10ft" I assumed that meant the entire hedge and not a partial job. The worst part of working with this company was their customer service. What is clearly their responsibility they turned back around on me and my neighbors and were not open to listening or making the situation right. I will not work with this company again and I recommend anyone deciding to use them to be extremely clear in their written communication about what is to be completed in the job.
