Ford provided a repair procedure and identified the correct replacement part, but instead of following Ford's guidance or contacting Ford Technical Support to ensure the repair was performed correctly, the shop chose to push for totaling the vehicle. A professional repair facility should be willing to follow manufacturer repair procedures and seek clarification when needed. Instead, I was left fighting to get a repair that Ford had already documented and approved. Based on my experience, I would not trust this shop to explore all available repair options before recommending a total loss. I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere if you want a shop that is willing to work through manufacturer-approved repair procedures and advocate for repairing your vehicle properly.
