I had a great experience here the other day. My rear left bumper panel has become detached and is flapping in the wind when I drive. I was trying to find out if there was an easy fix i could do to repair. My 13 year old mostly trusty Toyota is having an ongoing headlight outage issue. I have never had problems like this with previous vehicles, and I never wanted to know this much about effing car headlights. Honestly. The past year or so I have had it at the dealer multiple times anyway so I have just had them replace the light while they are doing other stuff. If it's a month or two ( or less) between burning out I have asked for free replacements and gotten them, but a couple of times I have paid and they have run between $25-70 to get a new light. The fancy ones only come in twos and they have burned out faster. They were supposed to last longer. Taking the thing apart to fix the electrical issue is about $2k is what they told me. Um. Nope. I would just buy a new dang car. So, I have been pulled over by police and "warned" for burned out lights and I have been what I call " light bombed" by dutiful citizens who make it their gd mission to tell me my headlight is out. This last week a crochety elderly man and his little terrifying yappy dog waited patiently in my driveway for five minutes during the day for me to exit my car, just so he could proclaim my bulb's dead state to me and the universe in general. He told me how " dangerous" it was. Sigh. I called the dealer to price the part. $24.99. I called the service desk at the dealer. Voice mail. They are slammed on Saturdays. I do not have a weekday option since I have rejoined the workforce recently and have minimal time available. I called Autozone. No answer. I called O'Reillys. The nice young man told me $12 and said, "Do you want us to put it in for you? " Sold. I drove there, a nice female assistant manager who was surrounded by 3-4 young men shooting the bull ( the store was a bit empty) took my info, went and got the bulb, it was $12.99. She asked me if I wanted her to put it in. ( I looked at my male friend whom I had brought to do that, and he shrugged). She grabbed a glove, headed out to the car, rushed back to open the door for me after he dropped it in my face ( I mean I loved that although I coulda gotten it) , and she popped the old one out and the new one in. Easy peasy. She also threw away the packaging and the old bulb. My companion would not have I am sure. All done. Cheap. Fast. Awesome. Also, it was aligned properly with the other headlight which is like...well all the other times they were crooked. O'Reillys for the win, man. read more

I use to love this O'really's. But the last 3 times they have been rude. They seem confused in what they are doing. And where other O'really's will offer to help you, or even put it in. This one won't. They also treat you like you are a crook. Even if you pay for your stuff and have someone with you to put it in. They won't let you take your stuff and just switch it. You must bring in example- your battery. Then they will let you have the new one. Plus they are terrible rude if you need tools. There are lots of O'really's around close by. I would recommend one of them. read more

Small parking lot, maybe 6 to 8 cars the most, but store inside is pretty stocked. Could use a bit of dusting, but this is a car shop, and most men don't really care, so it's okay. Been here more than twice but this is the first time I'm leaving a review. I came here yesterday (a Saturday) mid afternoon, and I just need the batteries on my Prius key fob replaced. Person behind the counter is maybe 13 years old? There were 2 other adult workers but none of them tried to help him/her/them/they (I'm not trying to be rude or mean here, I honestly can't tell what pronouns this kid uses, and trust me when I say this person looks like a kid, I'm Asian and most of us look young for our age, but this person could not have been more than 13) could not open my key. He/she/them/they then tells me to go to battery plus to have it changed. Tried to get the attention of one of the adults that was working and they actively walked away when I was about to speak out and ask for help from them, which is okay, coinky-dinks maybe they are busy ( I couldn't tell because except for another person, it's just me as a customer in there, but maybe there filling up or looking up an order from online or over the phone) I just left and went to battery plus. I don't know the child labor laws by heart but I'm pretty sure a child under 13 can't legally work in Oregon? But if you're working, could you please get an adult coWorker to help us out? Thanks! I have shopped here (and other O'Reilly stores (I spent 45 bucks on paint in Aloha just last week) for a many years. This Thursday my car died on the way home. I was pretty sure it was the alternator but wanted to be certain before purchasing that part (from O'Reilly's). So for the first time ever, this old guy went to buy an OBD2 scanner. They had several to choose from. 50 bucks up to 200. I told them I was sure it was my alternator but wanted to check it with the scanner. I asked if the 70.00 model would do, he said yes. When I got it home and connected it to the car it displayed no engine issues (which was good to hear right?). I then learned that the price levels have to do with what systems the device would check. The model I bought does not test electrical. WTH? So today i go to take it back and spend more money to get the correct model. I was told it was an electronic device and policy says it cannot be returned. I have returned electronic devices lots of times at other stores with no issues. So they sold the wrong product to an inexperienced customer, who even explained that he was testing his alternator and now they will not take it back and sell me the correct model. BTW way, no mention of this policy verbally or on the receipt. DONE WITH O'REILLY. I'm sure they will not miss my several hundred dollars a year worth of business, but they just missed out on a brand new alternator and probably some other stuff I'd need to do the job. I see that they do not even reply to the reviews here about them on Yelp so that in and of itself shows me that they just don't care. Not a happy camper here. Mikayla is so sweet and knowledgable. She diagnosed our car as having a bad alternator, then called around to several local shops to see if anyone could fix it today. Being late afternoon on a Saturday, she didn't have any luck (neither did we - most of the shops I spoke to were borderline rude, by the way) but she was able to arrange the next best thing: an appointment to get it replaced at a nearby Jiffy Lube first thing tomorrow morning. DO NOT BUY CAR BATTERIES HERE!!! THEY NEED NEW TESTERS!!!! They did a free exchange, but not til after we KEPT telling the girl over and over that her tester wasn't working right because she SWORE it was but their tester was the only one saying our battery was good and once we got a new one the car was perfect. How many other people are you guys selling bad batteries to and putting a hold on their days? This put a 6 hour hold on our road trip out of town yesterday morning. Early this Sunday morning, parked briefly in a Handicap space to offload recycles at New Seasons. Car wouldn't start. Great! Now I'll get a ticket to boot. But no, Speed's Towing to the rescue. Got me running in no time. Next I stop: O'Reilly Auto Parts on Cedar Hills. Luckily, they weren't busy. So Jesse was able to spring loose, check the electrical system, diagnose the dead battery, install a new one, and recycle the old one. Fast, efficient, and free! Saved me having to make a another trip to return the old battery. And saved me the hassle of installing it myself. Then Jesse installed new windshield wipers. All this for free! Stopped in to buy a new headlight and remembered that I needed new wiper blades as well. I asked if he (Tim) would install the blades for me as I am severely mechanically challenged and can't get new blades on without sacrificing a goat and chanting incantations. He readily agreed and then offered to help install the new headlight as well. It was hard to reach and he got tools and really went the extra mile and changed out the headlight. I went in to this store to get a headlight bulb. Kala grabbed the bulb I needed and came out to my car. My car is super tricky to install the headlamps but he did them both for me, at my request.
