Establishment is relaxed and spacious. Staff is professional and courteous. This food court is only accessible by entry to the Irvine Spa itself. The food here is good and convenient. Everything is self-service. I ordered the bbq short ribs (galbi) which is filling and tasty. It is decent value. TLDR: Good service, good food, good establishment, decent value. Would recommend!

I love this place so much! YES, you are butt naked and yes, you will see lots of different bodies, but everyone is 1. BEAUTIFUL and 2. discreet and polite. There are 3 different pools (hot, warm, cold), a steam and dry sauna, a relaxation room, and a ton of rooms in the common area (like the salt, forest, and ice rooms!) I love the Korean cafe here, but it IS a little pricey. There are tons of areas to lounge and definitely splurge on a massage of some sort. The masseuses work their butts off, so DO NOT FORGET TO BRING TIP MONEY!

Came here for the second time this weekend, got the scrub and gold massage for $210, which comes with access to the whole facility (usually $40 without a service). We booked reservations ahead of time. This is an ASIAN spa, which means clothing is not present on the gender specific sides (they give you a pink or brown cotton shorts and t shirt uniform to wear in the common area). My favorite thing is to bring a book and read in the common area after my treatment , and also eat lunch at the Korean restaurant. Highly recommend doing this as at least a 4 hour excursion, you can stay up to 6 hours (which we did ). I like that the services are also pretty comprehensive if you do the most expensive one (face mask, hair wrap, full body etc ) Pros: - the actual spa service itself is quite luxurious - I had Sumi and she did a fantastic job scrubbing off all my dead skin, I feel super exfoliated and very soft afterwards. I was so relaxed during my gold wrap that I fell asleep LOL. And the Asian style massage was great, especially on the back and shoulders. - the sheer variety of amenities outside of the appointment are great too - I recommend coming at least an hour earlier than your appointment so you can take advantage of the hot tubs, wet sauna, and fire and forest rooms that make you sweat - co-ed with separate gender sides for the actual spa, and then a joint common area where you wear your uniforms and are clothed. Great for couples if you want to try something new together ! - the Korean restaurant inside the spa is actually so good - solid Korean style street food and the bingsoo is so good (medium is easily shareable between 2-3 people) - easy to use locker keys - lovely common area with heated floors, TVs playing the World Cup, and some massage chairs - I do really love the ice room in the common area Cons: - I'm soooo glad we came on the earlier side around 9am on a Saturday because it got VERY busy later in the day after 12noon. Honestly some people were very loud and disrespectful in the common area where talking isn't supposed to be allowed - straight up talking on the phone or having full conversations. Not a fan if you're trying to relax and have peace - I almost wish I brought loop ear plugs. Probably more a complaint about the clientele than the actual service - because it's so popular, the reservation appointment times don't become available until 1-2 weeks beforehand Overall - I definitely would come back again just because the service appointment is so good and it feels good to get exfoliated and massaged. The one thing I do wish they had more availability is a scalp focused section of the massage, but I can't be that made haha 10/10 but I wish loud culturally unaware people would stop coming here and ignoring directions Tips: - helpful to bring cash for tip (they give you an envelope at the end of your treatment that sometimes has a Venmo account but not always ) - if you like showering with your own shampoo and conditioner, bring it. They also have hairdryers there but bring your hair tools or moisturizer if you want to use it after your service ! - no one actually cares that you're naked and it's not as weird as you think it is, everyone's in their own zone having a relaxing time - book an early appointment time so you don't have to compete for tub or shower space!

Love this place. It is not for the modest at heart. Clothing is not optional. No clothing is required. Shoes in the 1st locker. Everything else in the other locker. They provide a pink outfit to wear in the common areas. We got the scrub and aroma massage. Afterwards, i felt amazingly exfoliated. Can't do this too often but when you do, wow. Shower 1st (not the greatest water pressure). Soak in the warm pool at least 30 min prior to service. Towels, shampoo, bosy wash and conditioner available. Hair dryers available. We like doing lunch at the in facility restaurant. Set aside about $20-25pp for food. Lots of parking.

I-Spa is the perfect place to unwind and recharge. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels calming and thoughtfully designed for relaxation. One of the highlights is the variety of specialty rooms. The ice room is such a refreshing experience--invigorating and a great way to wake up your senses. On the other end, the fire room brings a deep, soothing heat that helps you fully relax and melt away stress. Moving between the different rooms really makes the whole visit feel like a unique wellness journey. The cafeteria was a pleasant surprise too. The food was genuinely delicious--fresh, satisfying, and exactly what you want after spending time in the spa. The drinks were just as good, super refreshing and a perfect complement to the experience. Overall, I-Spa offers a great balance of relaxation, unique amenities, and tasty food. Definitely a spot worth visiting when you need a reset.I

If you've never been to a Korean bathhouse before, just know you have to leave your modesty at the door. Coming from an American perspective, being completely naked around strangers felt very foreign at first, but it was honestly fascinating to experience a different culture where that's completely normal. I got used to it much faster than I expected, and it really wasn't a big deal. I booked the scrub and massage package. The body scrub was AMAZING. Almost a week later and my skin still feels incredibly soft. Definitely the highlight of the spa services for me. The massage itself was just okay. It included a facial with some type of cream and shaved cucumber slices, which left my skin feeling nice and soft, but I've definitely had better massages. Between the bright lights, being completely exposed, and being rushed to sit up, move over, and switch positions, it was a little hard to fully relax. Now let's talk about the food, because WOW. I forgot the menu number, but I ordered the Korean ribs along with the tofu, beef and shrimp soup, and both were absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and comforting. Honestly, I would come back just for the food alone. Overall, I'd happily return for another scrub and a meal. The massage wasn't my favorite, but the experience itself was memorable and gave me a new appreciation for a tradition that's so different from what many of us are used to.

Spending time in the dry saunas here is a fantastic way to relax, especially on weekdays when the facility is pretty empty. The food is good, though it is definitely pricey at $20 for a single bowl of cold noodles. One minor inconvenience is the massage chairs being cash only. I found that booking a massage was well worth it since some of the treatments actually include your general entrance fee. That said, the massage skill level is not quite as high as what you would find at a dedicated spa. If you are making a reservation for more than one person, I highly recommend calling a second time to confirm the details. They misunderstood my booking for two people, and when I tried to correct it at the front desk, they assured me both appointments were scheduled for the same time. In reality, they put one person at the original time and the second person at a later slot, which left us completely confused until our numbers kept getting called over the loudspeakers.

Irvine spa has been a place I've been wanting to check out and I finally got the opportunity to go so with my friend. They assign you a locker to lock your shoes and belongings away when you first go in. Afterwards, you change into the outfit they give you and go to the different rooms with different temperatures. As for the hot tubs, I was shy to go in at first but everybody there made me feel comfortable. Will definitely go again and spend the whole 6 hours next time.

I had such an amazing experience at I Spa in Irvine, and I will definitely be back. This wasn't my first time at a Korean spa, but it was my first time receiving a service here and it did not disappoint. First, let's talk about cleanliness because that matters. The entire facility was spotless. From the common areas to the locker room and spa areas, everything was well-maintained, clean, and comfortable, which made it easy to fully relax and enjoy the experience. When you first walk in, you'll place your shoes in a locker (no shoes allowed inside), and you'll be given a wristband that acts as your key and ID throughout your visit. They also provide clothes to wear in the common areas so you can comfortably walk around and enjoy the space. The common area is co-ed, but once you enter the locker room and spa areas, it is separated by women and men, and yes, it is fully nude in those areas. In the locker room/spa area, they provide everything you need: Plenty of clean towels Shampoo, body wash, and lotion Showers and space to get ready There's also a vanity area where you can do your hair, makeup, and get dressed before leaving. You can bring your own products if you'd like, but they truly have everything covered. The amenities were great--cold plunge, jacuzzi, saunas, salt room, ice room, and more. It's the perfect place to spend a few hours relaxing and resetting. They also have a cafeteria where you can grab a light bite, which is perfect if you come on an empty stomach. There's even a small arcade area for kids (12 and up), although I personally wouldn't recommend bringing children unless they understand how to be quiet and respect the relaxing environment. One thing I really appreciated was the quiet work area, a space where you can bring your laptop, sit peacefully, and get things done. There's something special about being able to relax and work at the same time... it almost feels like you've mastered life a little bit. Now for the highlight the body scrub and massage. I had Jenny, and she was AMAZING. The service was thorough, relaxing, and honestly one of the best I've ever had. You can tell she really takes her time and cares about what she's doing. I will say this, after a massage like that, your best plan is to go straight home and get in the bed You will be that relaxed. Overall, 10/10 experience. Clean environment, great amenities, and top-tier service. Highly recommend.

Today marks my birthday, and I decided to indulge in a spa day. However, the service I received was utterly disappointing. Despite informing the staff that it was my first time at the spa and that it was my birthday, they did not provide me with a tour. Instead, they observed the masseuse giving massages to other women. The masseur also made inappropriate comments about my facial expression and wrinkles, speaking in Chinese while doing so. I politely inquired about the issue, but the staff did not address my concerns. Furthermore, they did not leave a tip for the masseuse, who promptly discarded her envelope. It is disheartening to encounter such subpar service in Los Angeles. Treating me poorly is a reflection of their own shortcomings.

I enjoy this local Korean spa. It's relaxing and clean. $40 to use the facilities. Yes you have to be naked in spa but they do give you lounge wear for the coed area. It's honestly not that uncomfortable as everyone is just there. I do wish they provided bigger towels, not the gym sized towels. A gf and I ate at the restaurant for the first time recently. We shared an entree and ordered 2 drinks. The lady that served us was really rude when I asked for an extra bowl and set of utensils. She had an attitude. That left me really tense and annoyed. The tables we sat are were the low traditional tables sat on the floor. It was super comfy. The coed rooms are nice. The only thing is, it depends if you are in the room with others who aren't considerate bc people actually talk on a normal tone while others are trying to relax. There can be more enforcement from staff to remind people to use their quiet voices. It's probably better to come in the daytime when people are at work. Will try that next time.

I went to Irvine Spa on a Saturday afternoon, hoping for a nice, relaxing escape. The entrance fee for single access to the amenities and common area was $40, and they accept credit and debit cards. There was plenty of parking right in front, though it was quite busy when I arrived. They offer full-body massages and skincare services, and the spa itself was clean and tidy, with very friendly staff. However, once I entered, I noticed the steam room wasn't hot at all. it was just warm, with sprinklers. The Jacuzzi felt murky, and the cold plung had too much chlorine which made my eyes burn. The steam room was the main reason I came, for a warm, muscle-soothing session, but it just wasn't relaxing. I told the staff, and the manager, Asia, was extremely kind and professional. She acknowledged the issue, refunded me, and explained that over the weekend, they do keep the temperature lower to accommodate the crowd. Still, I was aiming for a hotter steam, and I believe a proper steam room should have a strong flow of steam not just a warm room with sprinklers. That said, I left within 20 minutes but I give this spa five stars because of the cleanliness, the professional staff, and especially Asia, who handled everything with care and understanding.

Irvine Spa Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Irvine Spa

    Walk in available?

    Yes

Is it true you have to be fully naked for the jacuzzis? I'm not comfortable with that, can I at least wear bottoms?

    Do you offer gift cards?

Are massages done in private rooms?

    Yes.

Is the admission fee still $35 for 6 hours?

    Nope, it's $40 now.

Can we carry our phone and air pods?

Yes you can in the common area

    Is it plus size friendly?

    Yes, it's opened to all.

Has the ceiling in the men's spa section been fixed?

Yeah I went back a few weeks ago and it's been replaced no more blue tarp

    Do kids allow with adult?

Children are allowed starting at 5 or 6 years old. There is a kids room in the shared zone, but children are not allowed at the shared saunas unless they are 14 years old or older.

Does the Cafeteria & Café offer vegan options?

Do they accept men? Or is it women only?

Yes! It's a coed facility. They have a shower/soak side for men and one for women. In the common are both men and women are welcome. Clothing required - which they give you. Hope that helps!

What aare the services offered and how much do they cost?

    https://irvinespa.com/our-services/

Are there soaps, shampoo or conditioners to wash ourselves or do we have to bring our own? And would you think it'd be wise to bring your own skincare to apply at the end of the visit?

Yes and yes. There are sops and shampoos and bring your own face moisturiser

My step brother is under 18 but over 13, will he need me to be there with him as an adult or will he pay as one without needing to be IDed? I'm already living on my own a bit farther out and don't live with him, and he lives closer to the spa.

Watch over your little brother! The men's area can turn quite sexual at times. Don't be responsible for something bad happening to your little bro, you will never forgive yourself

What is the recommended tip for the acupuncture oil massage? Should we tip in other areas?

Will the tops and bottoms fit a 2x person?

I've seen people with all sizes wear their uniforms, so very much likely they have your size, but it doesn't hurt to double check as there's always a chance it can be in a wash cycle.

Could you just go without the body scrub and do they provide rubber sandals so not barefoot?

all services are options and sold separately, but be careful with bringing outside shoes.

Can I bring in my own towel in the pool area? I know we are to be completely naked in the pools, however could we walk around with a towel in there?

Yes you walk around with a towel. Not sure if they care if you bring your own towel, but if you brought a white one, it'll look like the towels they provide

Do they have a cold plunge? Ice bath?

Yes, they have a cold plung bath

Can you be naked in the sauna or coed rooms?

You can only be naked in the gender specified area which includes the wet sauna. Must use uniforms in the coed area.

Do they have the scrub+massage option for men as well or is it only for women?

    Only women

Easy parking, spotless facility, kind staff, and excellent food!…read more I'll definitely be coming back! I loved how clean and well-maintained this spa was. Even though it's on the smaller side, it's honestly one of the best Korean spas I've been to. Most of the staff spoke Mandarin, but everyone was friendly and welcoming. For only $40 (6 hr limit), I left feeling so much more relaxed. When you first arrive, you'll be given wristbands for your lockers and clothes to change into. Once you enter the gender-specific changing area, phones are not allowed. You'll also need to be completely unclothed while using the showers, jacuzzis, and steam rooms, which is standard for Korean spas. If you're not comfortable with that, you can skip those areas and head straight to the main lounge, where phones are allowed. The lounge has several heated rooms along with one cold room, making it a great place to unwind. One thing I'd ask is to please be respectful and keep your voice down since everyone is there to relax. The cafeteria was another highlight! It serves some of the best Korean food I've had at a spa. It's a little on the pricey side, but I highly recommend the seafood pancake. It was absolutely delicious, and their banchan (side dishes) were delicious. Next time, I'd love to come back and try some of the additional spa services!

I'd like to think of myself as somewhat of a spa enthusiast. A connoisseur might be a stretch, but…read morea spa lover nonetheless. The Spa Hyu has quickly earned a special place in my heart and may have officially become my new favorite Korean spa. Some of the K-spas I've loved over the years have unfortunately become overcrowded and overpriced. I booked the body scrub and massage package for $130, which includes about a 20 minute body scrub followed by a 40 minute massage. While it's certainly not the cheapest treatment out there, I think it's an excellent value for the quality of the experience. The body scrub left my skin incredibly soft, and the massage afterward was the perfect balance of therapeutic and relaxing. Another detail I really appreciated was the quality of the products they have guests to use to shower before using the amenities. It left my hair and skin feeling squeaky clean without that stripped, dry feeling. Instead, my skin felt incredibly soft afterward. If you fall in love with the products like I almost did, they're available for purchase at the front desk. One of my favorite perks is that spa admission is included with your service. Otherwise, admission is just $35, which is well worth it if you're looking to spend a few hours unwinding. The co-ed area (spa uniform required) features a restaurant, several heated therapy rooms with varying temperatures, and plenty of comfortable spaces to lounge or even take a nap between sessions. I'm a sucker for aesthetics and I love the design elements they used throughout the space. The facility overall is clean, peaceful, and well maintained, making it easy to lose track of time. Whether you're treating yourself to a service or simply enjoying the amenities for the day, it's a wonderful place to recharge.

Having booked the service, we were allowed to utilize the amenities located in the spa. In order to get to the spa (if you're not staying in the hotel), you had to drive into the front entrance of the hotel. This is located on the side opposite of PCH. The only real option to park is through valet service which the spa takes care of as part of the cost of the service. Our massages were booked for 2pm but we arrived around 11:30am to have lunch and enjoy the amenities. The food was pretty good and the servings were plentiful. We got a chicken Cesar wrap and the charcuterie board. You're able to eat and have the food brought over just like you were ordering room service, it was definitely room service cost and they charged for delivery to the garden. After we finished eating, we lounged in the garden to catch some sun. This is the part where I say that it almost fit the bill... the weather loved tents providing shade had mold on the canvas. Maybe it was just weather warn because it does stay outside all year round? Not sure but I'm thinking that it definitely looked like mold to me. After the sun, we enjoyed the indoor amenities of steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. For me, there a few other patrons enjoying the amenities but my boyfriend said that he pretty much had the men's locker room all to himself. My favorite part about the amenities was the shower. The shower had a rainfall shower, a handheld shower and then several steam shower heads on three of the walls. The products in the shower smelled great and I would definitely use them again. For our massages, we have the couples suite. The room was absolutely gorgeous complete with 2 massage tables, 2 sinks, a gorgeous tub, 2 separate showers this beautiful stone piece on the far wall. Massages were great and relaxing. After the massages, our massage therapists led us out to the garden again to pretty much recover from the service and it was definitely needed. Upon checking it out from our service, we perused the gift shop. There were cute clothing pieces there as well as the products that were utilized as part of some of the services. When paying, they let us know that the gratuity was already covered in the cost so that was nice. Given the cost for each service, I thought it was a generous but also fair tip. Because we finished late afternoon, we decided to walk down to the pier and venture around there. We were able to keep the car there and the hotel bellman allowed us to store our gym bags in the hotel as well, all at no extra cost. If I was looking to splurge again, I would probably come back. What would sweeten the deal is if we were able to use the hotel pool too but they said that it is only allowed during the weekdays when the pool isn't too busy.

Next to it was the access to the workout room. Which had various machines and weight equipment.

We booked our appt for March 14th back in early to mid January. The day before, the spa needed to make a time change for our group and we moved it to one hour later than originally planned. No issues on our end. They communicated it clearly and even added foot massages due to the change. All of the technicians we had were great. I had Ruby and she was fantastic from beginning to end. I would go out of my way to request her again. I was super relaxed and felt very refreshed at the end. There were some guests that were there before us who were very talkative and social while getting their hair dried in the back at the end of their service. Because the space in the back is fully open to where people are getting their treatment it was a bit distracting and harder to relax until they left the spa. It could help if quiet rules were enforced to make sure all patrons at all stages of their service are getting the most peaceful experience throughout. Overall great first head spa experience. I'd be happy to come back!

Check-in was smooth, and overall the environment felt calm and well-maintained. My husband had Emily, and he said his experience was amazing, very relaxing, thorough, and definitely worth it. He's usually very picky with massages and spa services, so that says a lot. Unfortunately, my experience was very different. My therapist (Elissa/Alissa) was very sweet and kind, but the service itself felt inconsistent. The session felt all over the place. This also wasn't my first head spa experience, so I do have a general idea of how it's supposed to feel. The shoulder massage was pretty good. During the facial portion though, the touch was extremely light, it felt like the sponges barely made contact with my skin. There also wasn't much structure or flow. Instead of a smooth sequence, it felt random and disconnected. She also frequently moved between my hair and face, which made the treatment feel less cohesive and made me unsure whether hair products (shampoo/mask/etc.) were coming into contact with my face. At one point she used cold tools (maybe gua sha or rollers?), but they barely touched my face, so it didn't feel effective or relaxing. The water temperature was also VERY inconsistent, sometimes too hot (almost burning), other times suddenly cold enough that I started shivering, which made it hard to relax. :( During the head spa portion, I finished about 5 minutes earlier than my husband even though he started a few minutes before me. We did finish around the same time overall, but that was mainly because his hair drying took less time since he has short hair. I didn't say anything during the service because there were other guests in the room, and I didn't want to disturb their experience. I was planning to mention it afterward, but there was another guest waiting at the front desk, so I didn't feel comfortable bringing it up. About 30 minutes after the treatment, my face became red, itchy, and developed small bumps on my forehead. My skin is not usually sensitive/reactive, so this was unexpected. I'm not entirely sure what caused it, but given how often the treatment moved between my hair and face, I do wonder if some hair products may have contributed. :( Based on my husband's experience and other reviews, I do think this place is capable of providing a great service. I may have just had an off experience, but I would recommend requesting Emily to be safe. :)

This facial also stimulates collagen production and tones your face. It was a perfect pre-birthday treat for myself. Booking was easy on the website and all their services have a good description to determine what best fits your needs. I had to reschedule my initial appointment, and for that you need to call in. They send you a text reminder, and you must cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment to avoid a fee. One special thing to note is if you book a service that's at least an hour, you receive a complimentary foot soak as long if you arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment. This was a nice touch. When I arrived, Cristina, from the front desk walked me to their quiet room, which has the ultimate relaxation vibes. She was amazing! She had my foot soak ready to go, along with a heated neck wrap and a blanket. On top of that, she made me a delicious vanilla chamomile tea, accompanied by a chocolate. A literal pampering angel. My facial was done by Chasity. She was also so nice and she gave me plenty of time to change and get comfortable in the spa bed. She listened to my skin concerns and tailored the products for my face. Throughout my appointment, she explained each step of the facial. At one point I was so relaxed, I fell asleep. Before I left, I signed up for their busy bee membership so I can make sure to keep up with my skincare goals. Thank you, Lemon and Honey Day Spa, your staff was amazing!
