Disappointed with the customer service here. We ordered two large cheese pizzas for our group of 10 and waited for 40 minutes (past the 20 minute estimated time) and received pepperoni pizzas instead. As there were people in the group who were vegetarian/kosher, we notified the cashier and asked for cheese pizzas. Rather than helping all parties come to a solution, the cashier kept blaming us for apparently getting our own order wrong, and said we could either pay for new pizzas or just deal with what we got. It was an unsatisfactory resolution for everyone involved, and I wouldn't recommend this place. Additionally, they tried to upcharge us and give us $6 water bottles (no tap water available). This place is standard late night fare. We were craving pizza in the wee hours of the morning on our trip to SF and this place seemed like a reasonable enough bet. We ordered a run of the mill medium cheese pizza, garlic fries, and tiramisu to satisfy the predictable post meal dessert cravings. The pizza was good. Was it as good as NY pizza? No. Was it the best pizza I've ever had? No. Did it do the trick? absolutely. In my experience, late night pizza tends to be disgusting, or maybe that's just Philadelphia, but this was definitely better than I would expect. Context is important. I'm also just grateful that somebody finally decided to have GARLIC FRIES because YES TO EVERYTHING GARLIC. Essentially they just dumped a spoonful of garlic over the top of normal fries but so good. During the middle of Halloween bay crawlingIn the middle of SF Halloween bar crawling, to get a bite before going to the last bar, we stopped by at this pizza place. Came in as a group of 5 but other friends joined and ended up a group of 10 and we were occupying most of the spaces of the store. We got a whole medium sized pineapple pizza with ham and we finished super quickly and one of us got another slice of salami pizza. It took a little a while for the pizza to come out which was a little surprising as a quick bite place but it smelt so good and as it came right out of the oven, was very warm and delicious. One concern was that it was in the middle of Tenderloin and there were some random people talking to us and we felt a little unsafe. Would recommend not to stay there too long and leave there as soon as you finish eating or take out. read more

Despite the occasional line, the staff never seems to take too long, or run out of slices. The pizza is pre-cooked, so they just reheat the slices in the oven and pop them on a plate. There's always plenty of Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes to go around if you like to shake things up. Their pizza always tastes supreme, but I noticed that the sausage tasted different this time. I assume the recipe changed or something, which was disappointing. Besides from the sausage, the pizza is jam packed with onions, green peppers, crispy pepperoni, and melty cheese. One slice is more than enough for a whole meal; I'm always stuffed! An absolute hidden gem. Some of the best pizza in the bay. An Italian friend of mine who moved here from New York loved this place, said it was the closest he'd found to proper pizza in the ten years he'd lived here. I don't live in SF, but whenever I'm in this area I make sure to drop by and grab a couple of slices. Once I tried their meatball sub and was equally satisfied. Just plain excellent. This one is smaller than the Irving location. Between this location & the Irving location, Irving Pizza's delivery range covers about half the entire city, so that's commendable. With just a couple of tables, it is more of a takeout counter. Get a slice or a whole pie if you want a snack, a meal, or need to satisfy a late night craving. They also serve burgers, subs, and the obligatory salads. Surprisingly, they also have deep-fried Oreos. Slices are pretty large and start at $3. Whole pies are also pretty affordable. If you can find inexpensive and filling food, it is a good reason not to cook. You were already trying to think of a reason not to cook on your way home from work anyway. Pizza + wings = not cooking tonight. Mr. Joy had grown up eating Irving Pizza, so he has ordered from here several times. To me, the pizza is okay, but it is a little chewy & flimsy. I mentioned that we hadn't been getting enough vegetables, so his solution was to order the Green Special with pesto, artichoke hearts, feta cheese, basil, & garlic. It probably didn't help our nutrition intake, but at least the artichoke hearts provide some roughage, and basil is good for something, but I can't remember what. I have been to the Irving Pizza on Irving St. in Sunset many times. I started working a project nearby this spot and decided to try it today. The pizza recipe is exactly the same. The pizza is thick crust and it's a little on the brittle side. The Hawaiian pizza was pretty good. This isn't my favorite pizza in SF, but it satisfies my belly. So, worthy that my bf who's been on "diet mode" for the past week to save his tummy for Thanksgiving Day pig out next week agreed to have a slice last night. But, let me tell you why I'm giving your Geary Blvd. location 2 stars. We were there last night around 7 PM to grab a quick bite to eat. While waiting in line, there was an uncut cheese pizza sitting on the counter that was clearly fresh out the oven. After your employee gave a customer back his change, he used his BARE HANDS to hold the crust (no, he did NOT wash them) and began to slice the cheese pizza. After proceeding to the next customer and giving him his change, he repeated the process and continued to slice the pizza with his bare hands again. This made my stomach churn as I'm sure he did that with the other pizzas.
