Amazing! I went all DIY Quarantine on my hair dying my fading ginger red to this blagh dark mucky red. I immediately regretted everything. I called this salon and they were able to get me in same day and holy moly. Ula worked her magic. She got my hair back to looking that fresh beautiful ginger red I love. She is a miracle worker. Isaac has been cutting hair for forty years. 40! Before that, his father cut hair. So Isaac knows a thing or two about how to cut and color. As a customer for nearly five years, I have gotten the benefits. About a year ago, when the previous salon owner sold his business to Isaac, I was not sure the business would last. Being a businessman and cutting hair are different things. But...Isaac cut the salon in half and seems to be thriving with reasonable prices and excellent service ~ all served up with tea or wine and Tootsie rolls. Most times I get Veronica, who tells me about politics/weather in her native Russia. Isaac is Iranian, and hair washing guy is Colombian, so you are in the midst of an international team who all get along in a mix of accents. A real find. read more

I love this salon! I used to work next door and they have accommodated my schedule and cut my hair pretty close to their closing since my shifts ended around 6:30 (not a normal thing!). The staff has always been so helpful and friendly and left me with haircuts I have been really happy with. I've been in NYC almost 5 years now and it took me a long time to find somewhere I trusted that was still affordable. Lynn was awesome last time I was in and really made me feel comfortable and did a great job with my hair. Absolutely incredible! I have been coloring my hair at home since the pandemic started and let's just say I will never do that again! Ula is a very skilled and talented colorist, truly the best I have ever had. I told her what I wanted, showed her a picture, and she restored my accidental black hair back to the brown that it was before I messed it up! She knows what she is doing with color. Ula used protectant on my hair so as not to damage my curly hair, and I am beyond thrilled with the entire experience. The salon follows COVID protocols and I was there for hours and there was only one other customer that came in. I really felt welcome there. My experience was ok. First off this is such a small place everyone bumps into each other. There was a sign outside that said $35 for first time blowout. when I confirmed the price I was told $45. I have gone to this salon for several years and they always do a great job. Friendly and professional service at a very reasonable price for this level of quality. I am writing specifically to thank Isaac and his team, two days ago I got a haircut that looked great, but when I got home and styled my hair with my usual routine, the curls seemed slightly uneven. I do not blame the stylist since it's almost impossible to predict how curly hair will look when it's dry, but I was slightly disappointed and decided to return today to see if they could touch it up.
