We went to Isabella's in Yucaipa for an early Father's Day dinner and had a really great meal. Between our table, we ordered the veggie lasagna, seafood linguine, pesto chicken pasta, a vodka sauce pasta, and one of the chef's specials. It's rare that everyone orders something different and every dish is a hit, but that was definitely the case. The seafood linguine was loaded with seafood, the pesto chicken pasta was creamy and flavorful, and the veggie lasagna was excellent. The vodka sauce pasta was also really good, and there were no leftovers to take home. The portions were generous, the food came out hot, and the atmosphere was perfect for a family dinner. We never felt rushed and were able to relax and enjoy our time together. We'll definitely be back. If you're looking for a good local Italian restaurant in Yucaipa, Isabella's is worth a visit. The ambiance was beautiful but the service and the food was not good. The food was extremely bland and the seafood was overcooked. I barely ate any of my food, my Togo box was completely full. I told my waitress, which was the manager I came to find out, about the food quality and all she said was "oh you should've told me". She did not offer a discount or anything. One of the best Italian dinners I've had in Redlands. Two of us each split an entree and while I felt the extra $8.95 plate charge was a bit much we were amazed at the amount of food we were served. My family has been coming to the Redlands location for about 25 years, and it's a favorite of my wife and I on special occasions. The new Yucaipa setting is cute, not too loud, and close enough to take a nice drive on HWY 38 for a date night. We are pasta snobs, at home we enjoy making our pasta from scratch with fresh eggs and semolina flour. So when we go out to eat it's extremely difficult to find quality pasta up to our standards. Isabella's always knocks it out of the park. The bread is fresh-made and all the ingredients are great quality. Creamy pesto gnocchi, butternut squash ravioli, even the simple Aglio e olio is wonderful. House wine is Italian. Portions are generous on the main dishes, and we always get to have an exciting lunch the next day with leftovers. The service is also impeccable, water is never empty, and for the same price of Macaroni Grille you get a truly homemade meal. read more

The staff was very nice, always smiling, and the chef/owner, Isabella (I believe?), was so kind--she personally brought my pasta to the table. They served an amazing warm bread with butter to start. The portions were generous, making it easy to share, and they even offer a sharing option for an additional $8, which includes an extra salad or soup. First thing to mention is to go on their website and get their coupon. Good for two people , two entrees with drinks, $14.00 value. Cut out coupon , you can't show it in your phone. This new location in Yucaipa has plenty of parking. I like the ambiance here better than the restaurant in Redlands. They were busy which I'm glad since they are new. I ordered the lasagna which was pretty good. I ordered a Caesar salad which was a small up charge. It was a large salad and good. They also brought us rolls and butter, the rolls were pretty big. Our first time visit and oh my Goodness!! The restaurant and ambience were warm and welcoming. Quiet background music and I could actually hear my husband speak. The service was exceptional. Thank you Ruthie . She was very informative about menus and answered all our questions. Timing was great. We never felt rushed or neglected. Promptly served our drinks and bread and butter. I ate here for the lunch menu. The new build out is very intimate and was very well done. Smaller space so make sure you check it out before wait times get too long!! Ordered food for pick up. Specifically asked the total before going in and the price magically increased 18% upon arrival. No, it wasnt an added tip. This is the second time this has happened here and its a shame they are scam artists because their food is pretty good for this area. I am never going back after my many times patronizing this restaurant. The constant pricing inconsistencies is unacceptable and makes you feel very taken advantage of. Isabella's is an IE icon! I used to work here and I've been ordering from Ruthie and Chef Martin for 20 years. My recommendations: order a bottle of wine, get the scampi and/or calamari appetizer, try the soups, you can't go wrong with any pasta dish or the fresh fish or chicken piccata or gnocchi, and for dessert the homemade tiramisu or crème brûlée are mandatory. To me, the prices are comparable to other restaurants of this caliber, and the food and service are really worth it. I was so excited to go to Isabella's . As a family we had many special memories of other locations. I was extremely disappointed with the food witch was so tasteless and bland. My husband had the Filet- Mignon, the menu says thick cut, it was all of 1/4 inch thick. The waitress served us our food and was no where to be found.
