    Oxtail meal

Everything was good! I have had better oxtail but this place is not as bad as some have said. The woman behind the register was so nice and got my food to me quickly. Seems like there was only one person so I am not sure how it would be if there was a rush of people that came in. The beef patty was yummy!

We ordered Oxtails and curry chicken. The food was tasty and the cashier very polite. Although we took our food to go, we still found it to be fresh and flavorful. We will be visiting again.

Tried this place for the first time and I'm not disappointed. Great portion sizes and the rice and peas actually had peas .. I'll definitely be back

Hole in the wall place that I pass every day to and from work and never noticed it yesterday. The staff is super warm and friendly, the prices are great, and the food is okay. I got the curry chicken lunch special, which comes with rice and your choice of a side. That is a dumpling (boiled or fried), plantains, or cabbage salad. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Fall off the bone tender. Sadly, though, I got a lot of bones vs. meat, and the curry flavor wasn't very present. The rice was super bland, no flavor at all. The boiled dumpling was hard and just plain pooled dough. There wasn't anything in it, which was disappointing, but perhaps I just like my Asian dumplings filled with stuff too much and hope/expect all dumplings to have a middle. I'll go back and try other dishes since it's close to my office and inexpensive, but today's meal was a little underwhelming.

I've ate plenty of Jamaican food in my life span this was just not it. I ordered the small oxtail very oily and a lot of bones the portion size was enormous which is great the flavor level wasn't fully there I'm used to it boasting in flavor the cabbage was very bland the only thing I can say is the fried dumpling was amazing I also ordered a pattie with coco bread which was also great

Storefront, easy to pass if you're not on the lookout

Good food and an extra star for service. Fast and friendly staff on both visits. First time we picked up to go and brought the food down the street to eat at Hourglass Brewery. 2nd visit picked up a curry goat and ox tail combo (for a few dollars more) and brought it home to eat. The combo was more than enough food for the two of us. There are a handful of tables in the restaurant (each time we were in the majority of orders were take out) and next vislt we will dine in and try the whole fried snapper. Each visit the employees were very friendly and helpful in placing our orders.

Mom and pop Caribbean place in Longwood that brings a nice variety to the area. When you walk in it is pretty basic, some booths and tables, nothing fancy. I come here for the oxtail. There aren't many places around me to find oxtail, or maybe they are just all hiding from me. I get the small oxtail which comes with rice and peas, cabbage and a dumpling. Great flavor, and portion size. Meat is soft and falls off the bone. Only con for me is i always end up with a lot of smaller oxtails I love having a couple large meaty ones you can suck on. There have also been a couple times if I got to late they run out. Jerk chicken is a great alternative to choose. Service is quick and always friendly. I always take my food to go so have to experience eating in.

Home style Jamaican and it's damn good. This little "dive" consists of a few tables, a wall of spices and sauces, and the kitchen window where you place your order. They also have Jamaican patties in a hot display, and some baked dessert (not sure). I would recommend the jerk seasoning (JCS Boston Jerk seasoning) if you want to do your own jerk chicken/wings/pork/fish. Most people take their food to go. I had the jerk pork (Tuesday special) and split the meat with some curry goat because I've never had it. The pork was awesome, tender, and well seasoned - a fair amount of fat, but also plenty of meat. The goat was good too - the fat around the bone melts in your mouth (a fattier meat). The jerk had just enough kick and if you want more the hot sauce on the table will do the trick. Just a bit of the hot sauce had me blowing my nose - that's how you know it's good. Meals come with cabbage salad, rice and peas, dumpling, and fried plantain.

5.99 Jerk Chicken Lunch Special. AWESOME deal

I love finding family owned hole-in-the-wall joints. Just got their Jerk chicken lunch special. Comes with rice/peas and a side for 5.99! Taste is great- chickens incredibly moist. Their beef patty is delicious as well. The location is easy to miss though- so watch out! Will def. be back again.

The giant NOW OPEN banner was flapping like it personally invited me, and the storefront painted in bold Trinidad flag colors looked ready to hand out citizenship papers with every order. I walked in thinking I'd grab a quick bite. Rookie mistake, one look at the doubles and suddenly I'm ordering five. Then I'm calling my aunt and cousin like it's a family emergency: "Allyuh want doubles? Because these looking SERIOUS." Next thing you know, I'm walking out with ten doubles like I'm catering a small festival. And let me tell you, these doubles? Soft bara, perfectly seasoned channa, pepper and tamarind sauce hugging everything like a warm Caribbean auntie. I've basically been on a doubles‑only diet since, and honestly, I feel spiritually aligned. I even ate one cold from the fridge and it still slapped. That's when you know it's real. Then there's the boneless curry chicken with buss‑up‑shut. Pure comfort. The kind of meal that makes you close your eyes after the first bite. The potatoes were soft enough to spread on a cracker, the channa was rich and earthy, and the chicken tasted like somebody's grandmother was in the back whispering, "Put a lil' more seasoning, nah." The buss‑up‑shut was fluffy, torn, and ready to scoop up every drop of curry like it had a mission. And the pepper sauce? Flavorful. Respectful. Not trying to fight me or send me to the ER. A rare and beautiful thing. The place is clean, the parking is plentiful, and the staff has real Trini accents that instantly make everything feel more authentic. Even the way they say "Next!" has rhythm. Next time, I'm calling ahead for dhal phourie, because clearly this place does not miss and I'm not risking it selling out. If you see me there again, mind your business! I'm probably ordering another ten doubles and living my best life.

I happened to find Sherry's Trini while I was in Orlando for an exam and decided to give it a try. I ordered the potato and channa roti with pepper sauce on the side. The potato and channa was yum, well-seasoned. The pepper sauce was everything I needed. Now for the roti itself. If you're accustomed to a good dhalpuri or buss up shut, this one might leave you wanting a little more. It wasn't bad, but it lacked that soft, delicate, flaky texture. The filling was carrying the meal more than the roti did. Overall though, I appreciated finally finding a place in Florida serving Trini food that actually tastes like somebody put some love into it. It's hard to come by down here. While the roti wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, the potato and channa definitely satisfied the craving and I'd still come back to get some other fixes.

I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas, cabbage, and plantains. I also added a beef patty. Service was quick and friendly, and my food was ready without a long wait. Let me just say, this is what authentic jerk is supposed to taste like. The rice and peas were well seasoned and balanced. The cabbage was cooked perfectly, tender but not mushy. The portion sizes were generous, easily enough for more than one meal. The jerk chicken was the standout. It was seasoned to perfection, bold, spicy, and full of that signature smoky depth that defines true Jamaican jerk. The heat level was right, the flavor layered, and every bite delivered exactly what I was hoping for. The beef patty was decent, though not as memorable as the jerk. Still solid, just not the star of the meal. After trying several places in search of authentic flavor, I can confidently say I have found my new go to spot. I will definitely be back. Pops was in the back of the cool-looking truck smoking some meats, Momma was taking orders and serving, and Junior was was helping out. If I am correct, then Jam Rock Country Style Jerk is even more endearing to me than it already is! Ok, onto the food. So of course I have to always order my favorite go-to meal: Jerk chicken, rice and peas, cabbage, and cornbread. The small order was $10 or you can go for the large at $13. I also had to order order a beef patty and a pineapple Jamaican soda. I must say, everything was IRIE! This makes me very happy because I will be a "regular" here, so they better get to know me :) The jerk chicken was smoked well and you could just taste the wonderful smoke and spices. The rice and peas were good, not hard or soggy. The cornbread was good and I was happy to have been given a pretty large piece. The cabbage was also good. I haven't eaten the beef patty yet but it looks really good and authentic like I loved back in NYC. I really have no complaints.
