Oxtail, jerk chicken, beef patty, Curry Goat with Roti

Came back to Mark's on another visit to the area as it's become a fixture every time I see family here. This time, two of us ordered the shrimp rasta pasta and of course the oxtail. Service was slow on the Sunday afternoon that we went - I wasn't in a rush but I heard a table next to us getting antsy. Nevertheless, the food was still excellent in portion size and taste. I already sung the praises of the oxtail in my last review. The rasta pasta was also delicious and huge - it wasn't that creamy like I've had it elsewhere, but more of a curry sauce. Still delicious and when we packed the leftovers we made sure to get every drop of the sauce. I don't think we got through even half of the two entrees and happy to eat the leftovers again at home!

We have been coming here before they were even at this location. We always enjoy our meal. We have just about had everything on the menu by now. They are willing to recommend items. I enjoy their hand pies and their garlic potatoes

Authentic Jamaican food in very cool setting. Really good reggae tunes out of the sound system. They have TING! The jerk style food was amazing. Big plates and the price was reasonable. Very friendly service with a smile . Plenty of room to spread out , very good seating. Rice and peas are a must . Also have a red stripe. We will definitely go back.

I stopped by Mark's for dinner after sampling the food at a gathering. I got a medium jerk chicken meal and a curry chicken patty. The food was good as it wasn't overly seasoned and had a nice spicy kick that didn't take away from the flavor. The chicken was tender and juicy. The portion size was large enough for 2 meals. The patty was tasty and had a nice crunch. The service was just ok but this can be expected sometimes at Jamaica restaurants. The restaurant looked similar to most in the same demographic and featured a small seating area. I will definitely visit again when craving Jamaican food.

Large portion of BBQ jerk chicken with rice and peas, and double lettuce. 16 dollars

One of my colleagues wanted to have authentic Caribbean food, so Mark's was our best bet. It was about 40 minutes away from me, but I had no problem parking when I arrived. We went inside around 6:30, and there was no crowd that we saw. We sat in a booth and were given waters quickly. I didn't want anything else to drink, so I went directly with the entree. I decided on the suggested bbq jerk chicken, with rice and peas, and double cabbage as sides (16 dollars for large portions). There were about 4 nice pieces of chicken, all bone in. It was easy to get it out as it was quite tender. It also laughed at me when I told my friends about my bull riding. It was quite a jerk (pun intended ). The jerk seasoning and bbq sauce added a nice flavor, but the hot sauce is what I needed for the heat. The rice and peas were filling, and I enjoyed it with the cabbage. The portions were generous that I was able to save some for leftovers. The service was casual, but good. Our server was friendly and helpful, and checked up on us when needed. The atmosphere is very casual, with Caribbean music in the background. Dining area was tiny, but there was a small bar as well. I believe there was small outdoor seating as well. It was just us inside I believe, and most others were getting their food to go. For authentic Caribbean food, I found Mark's to be a great choice. While the chicken options had bones, it was tender enough to pull it out. Plus, the portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. It's near UCF and inside a complex, so the students can enjoy this without driving to far. It's a great choice for nice Caribbean for in the university side.

Great food and great service! The food was authentic and well flavored. I dined in and the food came quickly.

All I can say is yum oxtails stewed to perfection, a carrot that was sweet and flavorful with the juices from the the brown sauce, beans and rice dumpling and plantain and cider callaloo fresh sauteed by the chef only because I asked for them. Callaloo is probably one of the best side dishes I've put in my mouth and ages and if it had akie it probably would have been just as good all I can say is if you're looking for a delicious Jamaican dinner. Oxtail goat chicken. It was outstanding. Chef Mark loves to be in his kitchen creating his succulent gems that he served to the public. And I do mean the succulent cuz oxtail is a hard one to get right. Unless you know what you're doing and this man is on point y'all come try this place out. It's just phenomenal. I can't say anything better than that. And I'm sorry I don't have pictures but I was so busy eating I forgot to take them. So all I can say is if you're in the area looking for a delicious piece of oxtail or goat Marc's your place

Ordered from this restaurant for the first time and automatically the food looked amazing. I ordered from DoorDash so I don't have anything to say about the service or the restaurant itself, but I will say that the food was very good and one of these days I will go check out the restaurant

I've tried this place multiple times, I'm hopeful every time since it's close to my house and would love to find a consistent place to get Jamaican food from. However, they always disappoint me. Normally it's just small issues which I can overlook but this time I found hair in my food. That's a big no no for me. Money gone to waste. Last week my friend had it and got sick, I should've learned my lesson then and not ordered again. This will be the last time I try their food. If you're gonna eat there be sure to eat in person or check your food before leaving.

    Ackee and Callaloo

Underrated gem near UCF. They have a nice variety of food items for diverse eaters in your party. In addition to a large variety of fish, shrimp, and chicken items plus oxtail, they have vegan and vegetarian items. They also have family friendly items like chicken tenders and french fries. Get the cabbage and festival bread!

I was given a menu that highlighted some of their rotating seasonal drinks. I was surprised to see drink prices at $15 & $16. I know downtown that would not be unusual, but I assumed since this was pretty far out east it might be a few dollars cheaper. There appeared to be two people checking on the people who were in the front of the house. You can sit wherever you like and eventually someone will come in and take your order. The person who waited on us did not normally work on Monday nights. She was very pleasant. I thought it took a little longer to get my food. Luckily the game was going to start soon so it took my mind off of having to wait so long. I ordered the smash burger and fries. The fries were crispy and hot. The smash burger was sub par. Burger, cheese, bun. Absolutely zero seasoning. Toppings were extra so I just got it with cheddar cheese. Flavor wise it was definitely lacking. The wings were crispy and the teriyaki sauce was good. I asked for my check and waited over 20 minutes. The person who I asked for my checked walked by like she had forgotten that I had even asked. When she mentioned oh I'll be right back with your check and the wings! I had to go to the bar to get it because the waiter never brought it over. Now I came here to watch the game. While it was playing on all the TVs, there was no sound. I am not sure if it had anything to do with the large party that was there, but I was disappointed that they did not have any sound playing for the game. It was also huge so she was able to take half home to have the next day. I shared the Greggie (Philly) since I was not too hungry and it was good.
