Lovely place to stop and grab a coffee right off of the beach on a morning stroll. They're quick, clean and efficient, but I especially loved the quality and variety offered. The fritter is to die for, and they offer the rare, baked and in-iced old-fashioned which was a great treat. Read reviews and was excited to go here for the first time. Walked in on Sunday to a beautiful environment and didn't wait long to select donuts. Selection was there but most items didn't appeal to me sadly. I resorted to a glazed chocolate covered donut and saw what I was hoping was just that. I asked if the donut was just that and the girl assured me it was. However after confirming twice it was glazed and chocolate covered I choose to believe her. She was wrong and it was just a chocolate covered donut. Some may say I'm picky but I wanted what I wanted and sadly they didn't have it. Donut was okay but without the glaze was a little dry and they have a lot of air in the batter so the donut is more cake like. Not my preference either but had I just wanted a chocolate covered donor this would have sufficed. I may go again if there are other flavors I am tempted by. Glad to see they are at the beach and I recommend staff are informed on what they are selling. read more

Finally! St. Augustine has a solid donut shop with a delicious selection just steps from the beach! We have vacationed in St. Augustine for years and the donut scene was sadly lacking. After searching once more on our last trip there, we were pleasantly surprised to find Island Donuts! A donut picnic on the beach ensued and we were not disappointed! Hands down the best donuts I've ever had. While there we got to try a bunch of flavors. Hands down my favorites were cinnamon sugar, and red velvet. The donuts both days were so incredibly soft and just what you'd hope a fresh donut is like. During our six day stay in St. Augustine, we visited Island Donuts twice for breakfast & donuts. And i wish we could've had more. Their breakfast sandwiches are super hearty and delicious. The donuts though, were seriously the best donuts i have ever had in my entire life. It blew any other "gourmet" donut places I've been to out of the water. I've tried the chocolate frosted donut and the Boston cream. They were super fresh and fluffy, the frosting is just right, and each bite was just seriously heavenly. Next time I'm in St. Augustine, I'm going to make it a point to revisit Island Donuts. read more

THE best donuts in the area! We came from SoCal where there is an independent donut shop on every corner. We had no idea we took good donuts for granted. If you want fresh yeast raised donuts this is the place. Superior to Dunkin (where no one ever goes unless the are the only option) or Publix (is that even a bakery?). I've tried a well known local bakery and wasn't impressed as well as a well known old school place out in Arlington. None were as good as this place. Prices were good. Place immaculate. Staff friendly. Even the bfest sandwiches looked good. We tried a few cake style donuts as well and the flavors were delish. We love basic, non-craft style donuts.
