It was okay. Lots of places in St. Augustine have better quality espresso for a lower price. Paid almost $8 for a 16oz iced latte.

We were delighted to find this independent spot that offers a perfect cappuccino- and from the looks of what others ordered-a whole lot more! Unfamiliar with Kookaburra coffee but can now vouch for its smooth deliciousness. We walked here from our place about 3 miles up Vilano Beach and returned each morning. The warm welcome each time we entered was whipped cream on top!

My review is for the coffee! We came in for a quick stop before our boat tour at the pier, cute little shop, friendly staff, quick service and the coffee was yummy! My husband got their special which was the "Honey Bear" and it was so good- not too sweet either. I got a regular latte and the espresso wasn't burnt. I would visit again :)

My sister and I stopped in for some ice cream after dinner across the street. The service was fast and the ice cream was cold and refreshing. I ordered a scoop of butter pecan which was sweet and packed with nuts. The quality of ice cream was average but what really got my attention were all the pastries. Had I not just eaten ice cream I would have ordered some lol! They have several flavors of icecream to choose from and it looks like they were the only ice cream shop nearby. There was a lovely front porch with lots of outdoor seating. I you're in Vilano Beach don't sleep on the Vilano Coffee Shop.

Nice little coffee shop where you can enjoy coffee, pastries, and ice cream desserts. Staff is friendly and ready to serve you. There also a spot where you find a book and can write down your objectives down and what your grateful for the day. Nice way to start your morning.

I really enjoy this location, how close it is to the beach, and the friendly baristas. I've always liked coming here for a quick bite or drink. They have a good selection of bakery items and tasty coffee. Would recommend.

This super cute coffee shop was super easy to get in/out of on a recent trip to St. Augustine. The team inside was very friendly and helped us to make decisions on our first trip to the store. My latte was very good, solid espresso with great flavor combinations. However, I would skip the croissant next time. It was dry and dense instead of being light and fluffy, like I had hoped. Maybe try something different or just skip the food all together.

What an absolutely adorable shop! Plenty of seats outside, a few seats inside - a whole case of delicious looking desserts and ice creams. They do have a dessert labeled gluten-free, for celiacs it still would not be safe, but it looks tasty!! Walked in - was greeted immediately, while I do not drink coffee, they have a few teas to choose from. Within mere minutes. I walked out with a delicious cup of tea. Great place to sit at the outside patio and get some work done. Beautiful location, beautiful scenery, wonderful people, and a reasonably priced cup of tea! What more could you want?

Woke up at our hotel to a very unsatisfying cup of coffee. Stepped outside and found this local gem. It screamed local. I ordered the Cafe Americano. I enjoyed this medium roast no sugar and no creamer and just like that my day was back on track. My wife ordered a latte with oat milk and a warmed up cheese danish and she to had a new fresh start.

Coffee & pastry was a delicious pair. They made our drinks to perfection and warmed up our pastry. Delicious! Great customer service, they greeted us with happy faces & happy personalities. I really liked they added a cool unique touch to their coffee location, a journal for random people to write stuff in to share with the world who visits their coffee shop. There was some beautiful things written in this book and I loved this unique idea of creativity for the coffee community!

Blue bird coffee off the specialty drink menu.

Stumbled upon this cute spot while walking through downtown Vilano. They have a great menu of coffee drinks and food treats but they do not currently have decaf coffee. The staff were friendly and quick and it was so nice to support a local small business! Check them out for sure!

During that initial stay, I walked here a couple of times to pick up treats and they didn't disappoint. Since then it has become a go-to when we have guests visiting and want to have dessert on hand. It is a pretty interior space with desserts and treats galore. They are beautifully made and a treat for all your senses. The staff on my visits have always been so friendly and helpful. (I love the southern hospitality we experience at so many places in St. Augustine.) My favorite treat may just be the cannoli. They are smaller sized than what I am used to back home...but this is good thing! in my opinion. There are an assortment of chocolates, brownies, cookies, some candies, croissants...and a variety of cakes and pies. We are not huge sweets eaters but this place is hard to resist.

The stand outs were the pumpkin flavored desserts including the cheesecake. They were so flavorful, I kept going for more. I also got the raspberry cheesecake which didn't have enough raspberry flavor but had a delicious crust. I will come back here the next time I'm in the area and try more.

I ordered two glasses of Prosecco and she informs me that they are out of Prosecco. What!? I then order a can of IPA and a glass of white wine for my gf, which took way too long to get. Plus my beer wasn't even that cold and her wine wasn't good either. I asked about the cheese tray + wine and she looked confused. I asked her what cheeses came on it and she said she didn't know, but she'd find out, but never did. lol. I came here prepared to buy a bottle of Prosecco and a cheese tray to sit outside and enjoy with my gf but that didn't happen. If you are working at a place you should know the couple things that you do serve and know them very well. There also wasn't any clean glasses for the spa water. The deserts did look good but god forbid I asked either of them a question about them because they would have looked at me befuddled. I highly doubt I'll ever come back here again. Good luck with your questions and selections.

The cake pop was really the only item that drew praise from my crew. Breakfast croissants were "mid" per my teens... I now know what an overdone eggs tastes like. The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. The Ice Plant has done that for me more than once, and that is why we continue to return whenever we visit St. Augustine.

The Bloody Mary is where it lost me. $15 is a serious price for a cocktail, and mine arrived as a tall glass of ice with what was left over poured around it. By the time I was a few sips in, it was mostly meltwater. For that money I'd expect the drink to outlast the ice. Suggestion for the house: given the name, lean into it. Send everyone home with a free bag of ice -- at least then I'd feel like I paid for something I got to keep. Would go back for the food. Would think twice before ordering another cocktail.
