They have all beef hot dogs, pretzel with beer cheese, polish sausages, pickled eggs, etc. Heatlamps and some fire pit tables are lit a night to keep you warm but keep in mind it's outside to check the weather and dress accordingly. I've been to Catalina solo, traveling alone as a woman I'm happy to report: I felt very safe and comfortable in the Biergarten. Bathrooms are in the back, in some of those fancy portable toilets (including a handicap ramped stall), so you don't have the leave the Gartën for anything. The owner Michael is so friendly and will remember the regulars from the main land (thanks for calling me a Legend haha), and shout out to Jack who works there too for his fun and kind energy.

The cheese sauce kicked up an already pleasing sandwich, and I relished each bite. Service was great. The young woman behind the register was friendly & hospitable. Plenty of seating inside, and especially outside in their patio facing La Palma Ave. Parking is at Buena Park Downtown mall, which is a barren apocalyptic nightmare. It's across the street from Knott's Berry Farm. You'd think the mall would attract visitors? Portillo's provided a great perk for their Rewards members in honor of National Sandwich Day. We remained calm and tried to cooperate, but immediately after we finished eating, he falsely accused us of not ordering anything and demanded that we leave. The situation became even more unacceptable when he physically pushed members of our group toward the exit while continuing to curse at us. We were paying customers and did nothing to justify being verbally abused and physically removed. The owner is apparently named Jake. Management should seriously investigate what happened. Nobody should be treated this way. I will never return and strongly recommend avoiding this business.
