First time visit.. Great location on the pier with approx 6/8 outside tables. Service was quick, servers were friendly and professional. We ordered asada and carnitas tacos and nachos. All portions were generous and food was delicious. They have large menu with options from burgers to fish. Beware the seagulls as they are opportunist if you walk away from table leaving your food unguarded. Can't wait to return and try other menu items. Great food and prices. Eric's is great on the pier place for tacos and beer (plus many other burgers, fries and other items). Ordering was easy and the food came out fast. It is a very relaxed atmosphere with high top seating. We ordered their 1 shrimp taco and 2 fish tacos à la carte. You can order the tacos w/ cheese, cabbage and salsa. The shrimp tacos were fried, juicy and very tasty. The fish tacos come either grilled or fried. I ordered fried and it was moist and flavorful. The food stand has some seating but during peak meal times, you might need to find seating on the pier. We were on Catalina Island for one day, and this was our first stop. As people have said, it's right on the pier, and we found the service to be quick and friendly. It might have helped that there weren't too many people and things were very chill. I mean, don't get me wrong, it's a shack, but it was a very nice day, not too hot, and there was shade aplenty. This is the location for watching people and being part of the pier scene. It is located at the intersection of the Green Pier and the boardwalk, and there really isn't any separation from those on the pier. All the dining is outdoors and there is minimal shade: so plan accordingly. As you can see from my pic, it was a slow time (I've seen this place packed) and our service was quick. We had a beer and a fish taco, see my pics. The beer was cold - it doesn't get any better than that. As you can see from my fish taco pic, there's a lot of good stuff here. The veggies were fresh and crisp. The fish was Tilapia. It was thin, but there was enough quantity. It was cooked well and flavorful. In spite of it being thin, it was still flaky. Also it was grilled, and not breaded or fried. The crème sauce was very, very mild which added some moisture to the tortilla. You'll need to add sauce to suit your tastes. Great views of the casino and harbor while eating too. Wait time for food is not too long even when crowded. We loved it so much we went back the next day. we were pretty hungry and this place was recommended for bison burgers as we wanted to try out. On the picture display, it shows bison burger with 2 patties and cheese but in reality there is only 1 patty and no cheese. The fine print said Eric's style is "onion tomatoe lettuce" which is up at a separate corner of an order menu so obviously it's a scam. if your gonna do that then may as well state on the display menus that extra patty and cheese are at extra charge. so after getting our burgers with extra cheese. it wasn't melted either. The burgers arrived cold and dry. I had to put in extra extra ketchup and mustard to swallow down the burger but couldn't finish when I was hungry from my hike. If you truly want a bison burger, need to go to 2 harbors. It tasted a lot better than this place. read more
