Went in on a Monday just before lunch. Place was empty not a sole except the server and a cook. Service was amazing, knowledgeable staff that explained the menu. Got the all you can eat dim sum, portions were big, everything tasted amazing. This place is super cool inside, great atmosphere. Would go again if ever in Reno/Sparks again.

Came back for a second time today to try some different items on their menu. We were sat immediately and we got to choose where we sat. Started off with some fried chicken pot stickers followed by ribs. Pot stickers were really good and the sauce on the side was delicious. The ribs have a bit of bite to them but not too spicy. They were pretty good but I don't know if I'd order them again. Just personal preference. My main meal was the black and pepper beef with steamed rice. Delicious! It had the perfect amount of pepper and sauce. Everything comes out fresh, hot and quickly.

Pretty solid local option for take-out. We did not dine in on this visit, but the dining room looked lovely. The only drawback for me was upon my initial impression, they forgot 1 item, almost 2. The gentleman than greeted me had a plastic take-out container in his hand when I said I had an order to go - turns out that was my mandarin chicken, and it wasn't in the already tied to-go bag for me. When I got to my car, I decided to check, and learned my hot & sour soup had also been forgotten - but at least I was still in the parking lot. We ordered a ton of choices for our family of 4. Hot & sour soup, house chow mein, mandarin chicken, lotus rice, Phoenix paws, shrimp dumplings, and sesame balls. Kids loved the house chow mein, sesame balls are always good, shrimp dumplings were very good. Phoenix paws weren't our favorite - good flavor not not our favorite texture. Hot & sour soup is prob some of the best we've EVER had, and I'm super glad to have Caie in our neighborhood as we approach winter for good soup! Overall, aside from almost leaving without a couple of items, I think all entrees should include steamed rice, especially when the order tops $100, but I guess that's not the case. I think we'd like to return for AYCE dim sum, and that hot & soup will be a chase the cold away staple for sure!

This is the second time we ate at this location. The first time received five stars due to the exemplary service we received. This time the food took much longer to arrive and our appetizer was delivered well after our main dish. This was disappointing. Hoping they might comp it, but they did not. With that said, the food was still just as good as the first time. This time we ordered the peppered beef. I prefer the tangerine chicken, but this was good as well. The restaurant was clean and spacious. They also offer karaoke nights if that's your thing! We will return again in the future in hopes of better service and timely appetizers.

I went in with family around noon. It's quiet Afternoon, with couple of groups of people, but it took a while for the server to take our order. we had one person walk over to the cashier to place the orders. Sorry no picture this time, Grandma at the table .... Respecting the elderly... no phones at the table. We ordered hargow ( shrimp dumplings) , phoenix paw ( chicken feet) I'm not a fan of chicken feet, didn't bother eating it, peppered tofu, egg custard buns, shu Mai , sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf ( my favorite , I had 2 of these, ) shrimp Chang fen , not too bad, little soggy, could been better, walnut shrimp and chow mein. The chow mein is little salty, I added sweet and sour sauce to help with the salty taste.

Update: I'm happy to report happier times here. I've been back a few times for lunch since I was working nearby recently and I'm glad I gave them another shot. Dining area was clean along with their restroom. They've made some changes for the better. Simpler menu, wait times have improved and their service as a whole is better. Chinese food is a guilty pleasure of mine and I'm glad I gave this restaurant another shot. Their prices are reasonable and their food is served hot. Lately with my cheat meals, I'll stop by here and order chicken chow mein to get my fix. I've tried their lunch specials as well. It's a great deal and worth checking out if you're nearby and in the mood for Chinese. I look forward to returning in the near future.

We decided to come for lunch on a Wednesday after an appointment. It was not crowded. They barely opened. Food was not too great today. There was no one but us. It was pretty quiet and no lunch crowd.

I really liked this place. The staff were really nice and the ambiance was inviting. Our food was really good too! The Rangoons were my favorite. I like that it didn't taste like straight up cream cheese. Really unique flavor. This will definitely be a new spot in our rotation when visiting Reno.

I feel like is ok basic dim sum. The price for all you can eat $30/person is steep. Not much items for the all you can eat dimsum. I added sticky rice but it was additional not part of the all you can eat. Items that are, is Chinese not dimsum. But over all. If you don't want to drive over the hill...ita ok. The soup was too spicy for me to eat but came out fresh.

Wonton soup had great flavor with plenty of noodles and wontons. Simple, comforting, and really satisfying. Would definitely order it again.

Well, we just moved to the area and was driving around and found this spot, as we were walking we were kind of skeptical because it was dinner time and there was literally NO ONE in the place, we all get that feeling of "I wonder why there is no one here, is the food bad, service bad?". We sat down they were promptly to our table getting our drink order, then they took our appetizer order and main course order. Services was great. We had the calamari for appetizer, which was pretty good and crispy, I like mine less chewy but that is just my preference, was still really good. I had the honey walnut shrimp, this can be a hit and miss at places and this was actually really good, great flavor. I hear the Dim Sum is really good here, will try next time!

Our whole family had lunch Caie Oriental Asian Bistro last Sunday; this was our initial visit to this location but my mom and I had dined with them when they were at their South Meadows location some time ago. We arrived at the restaurant a few minutes before it had opened for lunch service; we waited, then proceeded inside after 11 am. We stood by the entrance, the restaurant was empty except for the staff busily working in the kitchen but after a minute or two, the gentleman that would also serve our party, walked through the door and seated our six-person party at a round table near the bar, in the back half of the massive dining room. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, it had ample seating to accommodate both small and large parties plus a private room tucked away in a corner. The round table we were seated at had a massive lazy Susan, perfect for making dishes accessible to everyone at the table. The gentleman dropped off place settings, menus and water at our table, and gave us time to peruse the menu. When he returned, we place our food orders: a bowl of egg drop soup, pork siu mai, salt-and-pepper chicken wings, potstickers, chicken egg rolls, Shanghai mini steamed buns/xiaolong bao/soup dumplings, lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice, char sui pork, walnut shrimp and two orders of fried rice. We received our food a short while later, most of it was correct but we were missing the egg rolls. We received a salted egg filled bao and a couple extra orders of sticky rice by mistake and had to re-order the chicken eggrolls again (the server said they may be out of it which made me a bit skeptical since the restaurant just opened). Halfway through our meal, we placed another order of the salt-and-pepper chicken wings and the pork sui mai. PROs: a majority of the food tasted good, the portion size was decent, the restaurant was spacious and the service was attentive at the beginning of the meal. CONs: (1) When we received the hot, metal steam basket that contained the dumplings, some were stacked in twos or three, and there was no safe way to separate them without burning your fingers/hands. (2) We got our 10-piece order of the potstickers which were all crammed together in one tiny steam basket and the dumplings up sticking together. (3) The potstickers were just steamed dumplings, not true "potstickers". Potstickers are a type of dumpling prepared by pan-frying and then steaming, resulting in a signature crispy bottom. (4) We were never offer drinks other than water and didn't get refills. Overall, we had a good dining experience, BUT there is room for improvement. The server provided adequate service but it couldn't be helped since at the time of our visit, the restaurant seemed understaffed (additional staff appeared an hour later). I don't think the restaurant expected as big of a crowd as they got that morning; the chef, kitchen staff and lone server that morning seemed a bit overwhelmed. Some customers ended up leaving. PRO-tip: don't show up exactly at 11am, it would have been better to wait until quarter to twelve or right at 12pm when the restaurant was fully staffed. Even-so, I asked everyone in our party and they all agreed that the food and service were decent enough to warrant another visit.

Pov: me after the way I was treated

I would give zero stars if I could. We walked in and there were plenty of open tables. However, we were told we would have to wait 10-15 minutes for a clean table. But what's funny is, she started setting up another table. What's even more funny is we were the only people there.

Ask the Community - CaiE Oriental Asian Bistro

Is there a menu for small children or adjusted prices for children?

Are the dumplings, steam bun, and siu mai made in-house or do they come frozen?

CaiE makes dumplings for her restaurant and scores of other restaurants. She has her own dumpling chef and serves them out of a cart on weekends.

The Wok is one of those places, and Sichuan/Chongqing food is one of those things that I'm jealous of people who get to experience it for the first time. Here's how to have an epic time at The Wok: Step 1. Get 4 to 8 people total that aren't afraid to try something a little different and maybe slightly spicy (seriously though it's not actually that spicy). If you need help with this step message me, I'd share a meal with some random people if it's at The Wok. Step 2. Flip to the back page of the menu, and order a few things that sound good to the group. Don't waste your time with the American Chinese menu (even though what I've had off of that menu is actually really good too). Make sure to get a decent mix of stuff like appetizers, veggies, noodle, soup, and meat dishes. Also don't be afraid to order multiple times. This gives you more time with the menu, and you can judge what sounds good in the moment. Step 3. Share the food family style with everyone until you are all full. Five dumplings was $6. The kung pap chicken bowl and two bao was $16.

Support local…read more Quality/Quantity - Today I took my guest here, from SF, where Perapol is also from. Then we went back to the casino GSR. Today we got the following: Garlic Pork & Rice - My dish. Deep fried pork with garlic, what is there NOT to like?!?! I did not expect it to be bite size pieces, which made it easy to eat. The sauce was on the side, which was not really needed. My rice might have been slightly undercooked...? Very firm/hard, or was it the last of the pot? Still good, but I would preferred it softer. Wonton Noodle Soup - A classic dish, another dish that is very hard to do wrong. Both dishes were perfect quantities for us, both light eaters. No left overs. Many other menus, specials, etc. See my pictures or their website. Atmosphere - Decent size location. Much bigger than the previous location. Indoor and outdoor seating. Free metered parking after 6pm, we got here at 6:01pm, lol. Summer hours - See my pictures. Still closed Mondays. Service - Perapol is very personable. He took the time to talk with all the customers and checked up on us frequently. Price - $30 + tip. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success at this new location since 2023 and your previous location since 2021.

Stopped by to see if this place lived up to the Yelp hype, since it's ranked number 85 out of 100…read moretop spots to eat in the US. Unfortunately, for me, it was all hype and not much substance. First off, the ambiance wasn't what I look for when dining out -- industrial, loud, and filled with metal chairs. Not exactly inviting or comfortable. I ordered two of the recommended dishes: Thai Boat Noodles and Garlic Pork with Ginger Coconut Rice. Of the two, the Thai Boat Noodles was the standout it woudl be something I'd order again. The Garlic Pork dish including the rice, though, was a letdown. It tasted okay, nothing memorable. Take a look at the photo of my entrée: it looks sad and unfinished. With so many other great Asian spots both here in Reno and back home in Minden, we won't be back.
