There are many reasons why the line is so long, and it's SO worth the wait. It's so refreshing to have them at the ballpark.

Parking 5/5 Shared strip mall parking with some dedicated parking in front. Never an issue finding a spot here. Atmosphere 5/5 The new owner refreshes the dining room every few years and certainly is an improvement from the previous owners. Small dining room with Vietnamese decor is clean and comfortable. Service 5/5 Very polite servers and owner. Our server took our drink orders of two Vietnamese Coffees and a stater of rice paper spring rolls. Entrees were the brisket Pho, Bun Duc Biet rice noodles bowl which includes carrot and cucumber slivers, mint leaves, small lettuce leaves, sprouts sliced fried spring rolls, shrimp and beef. Sprinkled with peanuts. Food 5/5+ I've enjoyed coming here weekly for decades when I worked across the street at Motorola then General Dynamics when they bought our Government Division. Food here is freshly prepared, traditional Vietnamese food. Both the Pho and (B4) Bun Dak Biet Rice Vermicelli bowl were excellent. The starters were on the small side. I bought a (B4) Bun Duc Viet to take home for lunch tomorrow. $72.86 plus $20 cash tip for excellent service. When looking for Vietnamese in Scottsdale, Saigon Bowl my friends-SYOY!

Service was fast, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. The menu offers everything from classic favorites to more unique, creative options -- so there's something for everyone. My daughter has celiac disease, and I was especially impressed that our server immediately understood what that meant. She confidently walked us through all the gluten-free options and made us feel completely comfortable ordering. That level of knowledge and care goes a long way. From the moment you walk in, you can tell how much thought has gone into the decor and atmosphere. It's inviting, detailed, and adds to the overall experience. We'll absolutely be recommending this place -- and we're already looking forward to our next visit.

It's close to the house, easy for a laid-back lunch, and one of those places you end up recommending without even thinking about it. I've worked my way through most of the menu at this point, and I honestly can't remember a single miss. The food is consistently fresh, full of flavor, and cooked the way it should be. No shortcuts, no off days. I usually land on the crispy rice clay pot, which has that perfect mix of texture and depth. My wife goes straight for the lemongrass rice plate every time and doesn't even consider switching it up. That alone tells you something. We almost always start with a couple orders of spring rolls. Mix it up depending on the mood. They're light, fresh, and a good way to ease into the meal without overthinking it. The place itself is on the smaller side, but that's part of the charm. It feels relaxed, not cramped. Clean every time we've been in, which is something I notice more than I probably should. Service hits that sweet spot too. Attentive, friendly, but they're not hovering over your shoulder while you're trying to eat. Prices are more than fair for what you're getting, especially considering how consistent everything is. If you're anywhere near Scottsdale and want Vietnamese that just gets it right without making a big show of it, this is an easy choice. We keep coming back, and that's about as honest a review as it gets.

When we walked in it had a very fishy smell, so it kind of made us second guess our choice. But we went for it anyhow. The greeter/server was very pleasant and sat us. It was very clean inside with ample space between seat. We browsed through the menu and started with our usual edamame and pot stickers. The edamame was salted well throughout where a lot of places just put the salt on top only. We ordered a couple varieties of sake which were both good. Out of all of the things we ordered the karange skewer was just a little more oily than were use to, but still good. The spicy salmon roll had really great flavor and the lollipop roll was probably one of the better versions that we have had. The musubi was giant to say the least, it was good, but offered a bit too much rice. Overall the food and service was great and we were very happy that we ended up here!

We were nearby for a show, and decided to stop in on a Wednesday evening for a late dinner with some friends. They have a good happy hour menu, and my friends ordered off there, but I was craving sushi so I got the nigiri omakase. It came with miso soup, which I enjoyed, definitely hard to go wrong there. The sushi itself was decent, nothing crazy, but definitely better than grocery store quality. The tuna and salmon pieces were a little fishy, maybe not the freshest, but it was also quite late (~10pm) so I wasn't expecting too much. Beautifully presented, and the cuts were quite large which was nice! The food came out pretty fast, and the service was pleasant. The restaurant vibes are pretty dark, and moody. The bathroom was kind of scary personally, super dark and a little messy, so I decided to wait till I got home. Overall, a solid experience, and definitely a good choice if I am in the area.

Legitimately the worst Thai food I've eaten in Arizona. I am shocked at the number of good reviews…read morethey have. The pad Thai literally had zero flavor other than the chili they put on it. No lime, no tamarind, nothing but soggy, sad, sterile noodles and chili oil. The drunken noodles were slightly better because there was a hint of basil. No love, no flavor, nothing Thai about this garbage. The Deep Fried Veggies Rolls were obviously premade and microwaved. Garbage. The bbq pork fried rice was the only thing that was "ok". It barely qualifies as acceptable but it is way better than the noodle dishes. The fact that this place has so many positive reviews means that people either are being paid for reviews or have never had remotely decent Thai food in their lives. Stay away.

The servers were quick and polite an had the order ready to go when I arrived for pick up. There were plenty of seats, light music, and cozy lighting, definitely feels like authentic Thai food. Chicken Pad Thai (no tofu): 5/5 This one is the reason you come back. Perfect comfort balance of sweet/savory, chewy noodles that don't go weird in a takeout box, and solid chicken in every bite. If pad thai is your go-to order, this is a very safe (and very happy) decision. Pad See Ieww: 3.5/5 Not bad at all--still hits that cozy, savory noodle craving--but it didn't have the same, "I need this again tomorrow" magic as the pad thai. More of a good side character than the main event. Flavor just didn't hit as well as the pad Thai. Deep Fried Veggie Rolls: 3.5/5 Sauce is definitely what makes this dish! The outside was crunchy and inside was cooked perfectly, just not what you'd expect from a veggie roll. The flavor for me wasn't as full. Pro tip: order the chili sauce! It's the little add-on that turns "this is good" into "wait...why is this so much better now?" I'm already plotting a round two... and yes, the chili sauce will be coming home with me again.

Upon entering, we were free to seat ourselves and chose a booth by the wall. It was not busy at all and the service was quick and friendly. We started off with a large sake bomb paired with a Kirin Light ($15). We then ordered two Tonkotsu Ramens, one medium spice and one hot spice ($15.99 each). Honestly, the hot spice level did not taste spicy at all, so I would recommend going extra hot if you like spice. They also provide chili powder on the table if you want to add more spice yourself. The ramen broth itself could have used a tad more flavor. I lightly added some soy sauce to the broth which is something I often do to add a little kick. I loved all of the toppings included, from the green onions to the kikurage (wood ear mushroom). My favorite part was the pork chashu, which was really tender and delicious. I also appreciated that the ramen came with a full soft boiled egg rather than half an egg, and the egg was perfectly runny. Before leaving, we ordered their tea special that was buy one get one. We got a matcha milk tea and a cafe latte which I forgot to take a photo of. I felt like the cafe latte could have used a little more sweetness to balance it. Also, I found it neat that Nishikawa offers a rewards program, not something I see often at ramen shops. My true rating would be 4.5 due to some of the criticisms I mentioned above, but overall I still had a good experience. Thank you for serving us. Visited 5/2/26
