6/3/26 It's been almost 14 months since my last visit. What was I thinking? Today was shopping day in Scottsdale and the Saigon Bowl is a must stop for me. Parking 5/5 Shared strip mall parking with some dedicated parking in front. Never an issue finding a spot here. Atmosphere 5/5 The new owner refreshes the dining room every few years and certainly is an improvement from the previous owners. Small dining room with Vietnamese decor is clean and comfortable. Service 5/5 Very polite servers and owner. Our server took our drink orders of two Vietnamese Coffees and a stater of rice paper spring rolls. Entrees were the brisket Pho, Bun Duc Biet rice noodles bowl which includes carrot and cucumber slivers, mint leaves, small lettuce leaves, sprouts sliced fried spring rolls, shrimp and beef. Sprinkled with peanuts. Food 5/5+ I've enjoyed coming here weekly for decades when I worked across the street at Motorola then General Dynamics when they bought our Government Division. Food here is freshly prepared, traditional Vietnamese food. Both the Pho and (B4) Bun Dak Biet Rice Vermicelli bowl were excellent. The starters were on the small side. Hands down, this was the best ramen I've ever had. The flavors were rich, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with care. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. The menu offers everything from classic favorites to more unique, creative options -- so there's something for everyone. My daughter has celiac disease, and I was especially impressed that our server immediately understood what that meant. She confidently walked us through all the gluten-free options and made us feel completely comfortable ordering. That level of knowledge and care goes a long way. This place is is amazing! Food is amazing, clean restaurant, very nice people and super fast. The lemongrass chicken, tofu rolls, edamame, imperial rolls and vermicelli bowl are our go tos. Anything you order will be delicious. Low key strip mall restaurant at its finest. Next door is one of the best bakeries too. You also have chula's seafood in the same plaza. What an amazing place. I am Vietnamese and it is hard for me to say a pho place is good, but this place is great. The restaurant is small but open inside. It offers a lot of good options such as bun thit nuong, nem nuong, etc. The place is so busy that the server was running around the whole time but he was very attentive and nice to everyone. I ordered the Bun thit nuong special and it was so delicious with crispy egg roll, grilled pork, and a lot of veggie . It was a big bowl as well so you get your money worth here. Will I come back? Someone in my group is feeling under the weather and requested pho or ramen. Yelp said 0.6 miles away. Glad I didn't walk because it was much farther. ‍ We ordered a grilled pork summer roll, but think it was made with beef. The rolls were fresh, but the meat was tougher than what I expected because it tasted like the round eye meat that was in my pho. The pho was perfect for a day of inclement weather. We chose this restaurant because they offer tendons in their menu. Service was pleasant and luckily efficient as the businesses in the area had a power outage. We enjoyed our dinners The restaurant emptied out and new customers had to be turned away. Cash only tonight as the credit card readers were not working. All in all, a tasty meal on a wet day. Small inside but PACKED with flavor. I am so happy this place was close by! We were craving flavor but didn't want a heavy meal. We were seated immediately followed by ice water we didn't have to ask for. Our waitress was a nice lady who was very helpful once she found out it was our first time. I ordered the well done brisket phǒ and my friend ordered the a spicy chicken dish (S10 on the menu) When I tell you the pho was AMAZING do not add anything in the broth. It's really good without the additional sauces. Maybe a squeeze of lime or Thai basil but it didn't need it. At the very end of my bowl I decided to hoisin sauce and Sriracha and I regretted it so leave the broth alone. Hahaha. read more

This is always a pleasant experience visiting Saigon Bowl. Staff are nice and efficient. The place is really clean with a nice atmosphere. The meals ordered were BM1,a grilled sausage Banh mi (sandwich) and P6, Chicken Pho (soup with noodles). A separate plate of bean sprouts, jalapeños, limes and basil is given to add to the soup. Their food service is quick and fresh. Both meals were excellent. I asked for a take out container. Staff came by and packed my meal for me, how nice! Good to visit this place again! I met my friend here for an 11:30 AM Tuesday lunch. When you walk in the atmosphere has a little bit more of modern feel in decoration versus a typical Asian restaurant. The place seem clean except for the glass doors you enter from. Our server was OK, can't say he was overly friendly, in fact seemed very annoyed when my friend asked for water with no ice. We ordered the (P2) Pho with Slices of Eye Round Steak and an extra side of Tripe (for $3.00 extra) and a (P6) Pho with White Chicken Meat. I also ordered a Jasmine Ice Tea. Ordering was fast and delivery of orders were fast. The fresh side veggie topping were abundant. The Pho itself was good. Was it a Wow for the price a P2 with Tripe and an Ice Tea $20.29? I had never heard of this place before, but was looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant in the area, so decided to check it out. I ordered a fresh spring roll with grilled tofu. So good! The tofu is crispy since is is grilled. I love the rice paper wrapped spring rolls and it was nice to see that this place had several different kinds to offer. I also ordered a vermicelli bowl with grilled shrimp, which was also excellent! It had rice noodles on top of salad greens and the grilled shrimp were perfectly cooked. When you think of Arizona, you may not think of Vietnamese food. But I was craving a banh mi and my friend had never had one, so we stopped by Saigon Bowl. The food was exactly what I needed. The boba was a really reasonable price (about $6), which is great and much lower than a boba-only place. The food came out quickly, and the server was very kind. It was a little quiet inside the restaurant (but we went at sort of an unconventional meal time). There was pleasant music playing that wasn't too overpowering or distracting. Saigon Bowl is hands down the best Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to my patrons at the casino own the restaurant and my fellow employees who go there a lot said it's the best so I went there for lunch not knowing my coworkers from the casino were there for lunch so I joined them and everything I had was awesome the spring rolls had this awesome crunch in them and flavor that I've never experienced at the Vietnamese restaurant before my vermicelli meal was spectacular I will go back there and it's nice to know I can support the owners because they they are clients of mine at the casino and I want to support their business like they do my business read more

A family-runned restaurant serving good authentic Vietnamese comfort food. My friends and I shared the Vietnamese Imperial Rolls (crispy and light) and the grilled pork sandwich. We found the pork on the greasy side but it was stuffed with pork and lots of veggies with a touch of mayo. The bread is a sub style (as noted on the menu) so not as light or crispy compared to a traditional French baguette. Nevertheless, the sandwich is hearty and good value. The cold coffee with condensed milk was strong and refreshing. We all had the P2 (rice noodles with slender slices of eye round steak). Good amount of rice noodles with a side plate of herbs, bean sprouts and wedges of lime. The broth was clean and clear and a nice balance of savoury with some sweetness. No MSG as my face didn't turn red. I have tried pho broths in Vietnam from South to North and also living in a city filled with many authentic Vietnamese restaurants, I would rate Saigon Bowl's broth at 4.6/5. Staff were friendly and came by a few times to check on us. The family took over this restaurant business 7 years ago from another family that operated for 30 years. Nice toasty baguette, grilled meat and the fresh carrots, cucumber, cilantro were a great mix of flavor! I saw some Pho being delivered to a table nearby so will for sure try that next! Stopped by here for lunch since I was picking up pastries next door. Spacious restaurant with lots of tables but there was only 1 other party dining in with us for Saturday lunch. Service was really kind and we didn't wait too long. We got the fish sauce wings, beef stew with noodles, and combo banh hoi (woven vermicelli). The food was OK for us. We enjoyed the wings the most because of how flavorful they were. My husband enjoyed the beef stew but he would have preferred a different noodle type. Perhaps you can ask to switch out the noodles. My banh hoi combo was decent - wish the fish sauce was stronger but I'm sure it's toned down for an American audience. The beef was really greasy which I didn't like. Nem nuong was cut in small pieces and over fried. I do think they have items that are not at other Vietnamese restaurants in Scottsdale so give them a try if you're in the area! read more

I've been coming here for 25 years. We call this place The B4 because that is what everyone's favorite item on the menu is. There was a point where management changed and I stopped going for a few years. Whoever took over recently has returned this place to its former glory!
