Arrived at 11:30am on a Friday. A few patrons were already seated, but the place would start to fill up as we dined. The ambiance is clean and modern. The service is fast and friendly. The menu covers a lot of Vietnamese standards and some dishes I had not tried before. I opted for Dynamite Chicken. The chicken is lightly fried and comes in a brown sauce with onions. Quite good. Some spice, but I would not consider it a spicy dish. N*joy!

We stopped in for an early dinner because it was featured on Diners Dives and DriveIns and we happened to be in the area. Just walking into the place, the aromas were delightful. I love that they had a happy hour menu. So we samples a bunch of things. Potstickers, spring rolls, pho, salad. It was all amazing. The server was very friendly and helpful to guide us to what customer favorites are. I would definitely return to this place if we are in the Scottsdale area. Guy Fieri wasn't wrong with featuring this place! Check it out!

This is a beef broth soup with a sesame vinaigrette salad. It comes with every entrée ordered.

This was such a fine treat. My family brought me here for Father's Day to experience slanted rice Vietnamese bistro. The food was amazing, authentic with deep RICH flavors. Our server came from behind the bar and was handling the whole restaurant which by the way is cozy and intimate. He handled it like a pro! Very helpful with suggestions and was very prompted service making sure that whatever we needed was taken care of. Today, that is highly appreciated! I would highly recommend you to go and enjoy an experience slanted rice Vietnamese bistro it truly is a gem!

Swung by on a Tuesday night. It wasn't too busy as there were only a few other patrons so we were seated immediately. Nice and cozy with modern decor. Menu had plenty of options, but we ended up ordering the spring rolls, lemongrass brussel sprouts, pho dac biet, and crispy rice scallop clay pot. Food came out pretty quickly and was paced out well. Brussels sprouts were surprisingly rich in flavor and was devoured quickly! Pho was okay, but was enough to take care of my buddy's craving. The scallop clay pot was amazing though! Plenty of crispy rice and everything had so much flavor! Would definitely order again. Ordered the bun cha for takeout and I will have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it at home. Overall, great service and a good meal. Will definitely be back to try out more of the menu.

Nice and cozy here. The ambiance felt very homey which was cool. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly. She helped answer questions I had about the menus items. I was there with my sister and our new friend Elicia who suggested we meet here after work. I had never heard of it or seen before. It's hidden in the strip mall off of Scottsdale Rd and McDonald Dr. right behind the Chase bank which is visible from the street. I ordered the shrilmp eggrolls, salt and pepper shrimp, and Grand Canyon Rum cocktail from the happy hour menu. Everything was delicious. I didn't think I was going to enjoy the shrimp eggrolls but to my surprise they were really good. I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures of my food lol. It was a mild crowd after 5pm which increased as the time went by.

Came in from recommendation of coworker while staying in the area. The recommendation was on point. Came in and immediately greeted. Advised I can sit any open table, since it was just me sat up at the bar. Decided to try the crispy pork egg rolls and slanted pho. The egg rolls were fresh out and so tasty. Love being able to wrap in the lettuce and mint just gave extra flavor. The slanted pho is the perfect size bowl for me! The flavor was amazing. I got beef. Everything was so fresh. Next time I am in town I will be coming back!

I loved the lemongrass wings and the crispy rice with chicken. The lemongrass wings were crispy and seasoned wonderfully. The crispy rice had great crunch and was light tasting but very filling. The waitstaff was super friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations and taking the time to walk us through the menu. My only critique is that the prices felt a bit high for the overall ambience of the restaurant. That said, the food and service definitely stood out!

Actually impressed by this Vietnamese place in AZ. Food was really good. Shishito peppers didn't have much flavor to me but fun to eat. The sweet pork crispy wonton spring roll was really good! Add a little sriracha to their sauce and it was perfect. Fried pork eggrolls were super flavorful and fried perfectly, super crispy. Garlic noodles were good, you can smell and taste the garlic and butter in it. A smidge salty but still good. Fish sauce glazed wings were awesome. The fish sauce becomes slightly sweet as it caramelizes. Fried just right super crispy skin. Pork vermicelli bowl had pork that was tender and seasoned so well. Service was great! It was just 2 tables in the restaurant but he still checked on us constantly and made sure we had everything we needed. Parking - big open free parking lot!

Consistent spot for great food and customer service! Food is always fast and team is friendly! The flavors are bold and the ingredients are fresh. My favorite dishes are the Chicken Pho & Chicken Clay Pot! The clay pot is fun and is not oily at all! They have a nice patio too!

Parking 5/5 Shared strip mall parking with some dedicated parking in front. Never an issue finding a spot here. Atmosphere 5/5 The new owner refreshes the dining room every few years and certainly is an improvement from the previous owners. Small dining room with Vietnamese decor is clean and comfortable. Service 5/5 Very polite servers and owner. Our server took our drink orders of two Vietnamese Coffees and a stater of rice paper spring rolls. Entrees were the brisket Pho, Bun Duc Biet rice noodles bowl which includes carrot and cucumber slivers, mint leaves, small lettuce leaves, sprouts sliced fried spring rolls, shrimp and beef. Sprinkled with peanuts. Food 5/5+ I've enjoyed coming here weekly for decades when I worked across the street at Motorola then General Dynamics when they bought our Government Division. Food here is freshly prepared, traditional Vietnamese food. Both the Pho and (B4) Bun Dak Biet Rice Vermicelli bowl were excellent. The starters were on the small side. The food, flavor, service, cleanliness, and vibes were absolutely perfect!! Came on a Thursday evening, ordered plain pho and french fries for our 5&3YO both ate it up! While we looked at the menu, I couldn't decide what alcohol I wanted, spirit, beer, sake, wine, etc.. finally order sake bomb with Asahi and the bartender came over and let me sample one of the sours - just cause! I'm awesome! Thank you! Wish I had room to order! For dinner we did: - Filet Spring Roll - Chuck Norris Spring Roll - grandma Trans firecracker wings - Crispy Rice on sizzling plate with Filet My words cannot describe how amazingly delicious it all was. The spring rolls were equally filling, flavorful, refreshing, and savory! Flavor explosion! The firecracker wings drenched in the spicy sauce was so good, we kept dipping some of our kids fries in the sauce! Lastly the Crispy Rice dish with filet, WOW! A bite of that, with some broth on the side. I couldn't easily swear it's one of the most savory dishes I've had in AZ. What a hidden gem! On top of this, as a parent, it's always stressful eating outside of your own home with your kiddos, but the staff/owners were so accommodating, I felt comfortable and grateful! They were so nice and my 3Yo is wild, but they didn't make us feel bad and they continued to smile and even give him a high five as we left. The location is clean and vibey, and we were all comfortable the whole time. So glad this fam came FOB in 1981 and hope they continue to rock it because they deserve it! What a great location and so glad we went. Can't wait to go back.

The A/C worked well enough despite the dining area filling up with hungry customers. Seating is laid-back, and ready for a group of four or those willing to share a table. Cordial, English-speaking staff are efficiently working and made sure we were well hydrated during a particularly hot weekend. The food was not as we expected. I had the rice plate and my husband ordered pho. My rice plate was filled with enough rice for all the protein that topped it. My favorites had to be the pork chop and the egg & meat loaf. The pho was fragrant - as it should be - but the flavor of the broth was not developed enough. It tasted like salted water, and the beef flavor only came from the slices they put in the bowl. Maybe we were asking for too much, but the flavors were generally light [at best] and definitely not what I'm used to. Even the nuoc cham tasted watered down...how is that possible? Overall: 2.6 stars. Edible and decent food. The wait staff are quick and personable to the faces they know. If I never had Vietnamese food before the rice plate is filling and good enough to come back for. The pho, however is deceptive - smells great but the taste is watery and lacking.

Protein fillings were not skimpy at all- the grilled pork was not overly salty, the pate was a nice thin creamy flavorful layer, and the fried egg was perfect and fluffy to top.
