11/3/23: After getting a message from the business manager and because I was starving and this was the closest burger place, my husband and I decided to go back and try it out again. I was hoping to not get the same server we had the last time we went and yes! the server we got today was waaaaayyyyyy better. (MAYBE the people working the dinner shift is friendlier?) The food was good too. Everything was made the way I asked and we had no issues! The whole experience was five stars but because the fries are not refillable I gave it 4. We have been a customer for many years. Food and Bar drinks is great. Our last experience was dreadful on Friday November 7th at 5:00. We ordered bar drinks and appetizers. Our server who brought out the appetizer we asked her to provide us with plates, napkins and forks. She never came back. When she brought out our dinner we reminder her that she had forgotten to bring out the items we asked her. She replied. I am bad and said that several times and that she was busy. She told us that that was not her job, and that next time we should ask the bar tender, and that was their job. I reported her to the Bar tender when he came to provide us with our check. We are frequent flyers at Islands and always get good service there and the food is great, that's what keeps us coming back. But tonight, we had an excellent server named Amelie that i just had to give a shout out to because she was on point all night with us. Our food came out quickly and was delicious as usual She was friendly and cheerful with a big smile, took our orders correctly and kept our drinks full. She also checked back several times just to be sure everything was perfect. It seemed she really loves her job. It made our experience refreshing and I hope her managers appreciate her. I came here with my family and the first thing we were greeted with was a hostess who wasn't very nice. She talked with a really negative attitude. Hopefully she was just having one bad day or something. The food was pretty good. I would say the burgers were solid and the spinach and artichoke dip was super good. The fries were nicely seasoned and they gave us whatever other sauces we wanted. The vibe is very on theme and it's very much like a tiki hut. Pretty good experience overall though. read more

The only thing is that the physical menus themselves always seem kind of dirty, which is not appealing for when you first sit down. I had a great time with my significant other, although we could've been more attended too. It felt like some tables were being prioritized, just what we noticed. Parking was not an issue if you come to this establishment it is in a sizeable plaza so I do not think parking would be a problem for large groups & gatherings. We go to Islands pretty regularly and sad to say this visit, at this location was a let down all around. The food did not taste as good as it usually does. Service was also not as good overall. The male hostesses were pretty obnoxious. My kids absolutely love it and get excited when we come here- their favorites are the fries, the chicken wings and of course the desserts!! They have some health options when I'm in a healthy mood or some of my favorite guilty pleasures like the spicy Kilauea burger and the most delicious margaritas. I had occasion to recently have a weekday lunch here. They offer weekday luncheon specials which are quite excellent and reasonably priced. I had the Lunch Double Stack Burger which goes for $10.39. It was huge and also comes with an enormous basket of french fries. The regular menu is a little pricey, but the food here is quite good and the service is good as well. The food was good too, the Kilauea Burger was really good, I thought it would be a bit more spicier but it was more mild with a peppery taste. The meat itself we asked for medium and it was perfectly cooked and juicy. We replaced the fries for sweet potato fries of course and it was delicious as usual. The Island Nachos was a little more of a letdown with just melted cheese versus like nacho cheese... If that makes sense but still decent. We were seated pretty quickly for a Sunday afternoon and the booths were comfortable and it wasn't too loud, perfect for conversation and without anybody listening in. We were provided with excellent customer service by the host and also our server she was great Very clean sanitized restaurant they have changed up their menu which we were fine with. Yes prices have increased.
