Send like they haven't changed much in the last 30 years, and I find that to be a good thing! Burgers have been and still are good. They don't serve bottomless fries anymore though; refills are $1.65 each. We had a very friendly server in Michael. I've loved eating at Islands for years. One of the things that set apart their burgers were the well toasted buns, fresh taste and crispy French fries. This was even the case when I ordered it for take out. Unfortunately this was not the case today. Not sure if it's due to the new packaging they have (plastic black boxes) but the longboarder burger was completely soggy, the bun was soaked. And the fries were limp with no crisp to them. If you own this islands, I suggest changing the Togo packaging or you will lose customers. The food is no longer worth it. read more

It's been over two months since we have been to Islands, we use to be here almost every Friday night. It was our go to place but then they stopped serving draft Budlight. We now go to Chilis' across the parking lot for Michelob Ultra on tap for half the price of Islands. We did enjoy our dinner Islands, the service was great, and without 5 or 6 beers it was pretty cheap. We will stop in every couple of months or so to see if we can get ice cold Budlight read more

It's a tropical island vacation every time. Magnum P.I. would really love Islands too. Cheeseburgers are great and the mango beer is cold and frosty and delicately sweet. My favourite bartender in the world is Erin who is bright and cheerful and glowing. She makes everyone feel comfortable and happy even when the restaurant is jam packed in the middle of happy hour which is hard work for sure. Give that girl a raise! Once a great example of the restaurant burger still continues to be exemplary. With a menu that encompasses some old favorites, additional items for health conscious eating makes a welcome update. Your old favorites burgers are still delicious and cooked medium to order unless specified other. These are true restaurant burgers. Sized and constructed with good balance. Orders are accompanied with fries, or you may choose alternatives including a salad for an additional costs. Choice of buns and lettuce wrapped offers another layer of goodness. Most folks do choose the burgers, but there are seafood, salad, chicken, and alternative protein options and entree choices. The drinks, other than adult beverages, are Coca Cola corporate. I do miss the Hawaian Punch that use quench the best of thirst in this tropical burger oasis. Validated parking is in the building. Just look for the entrance on Broadway St. The staff here is also another reason to return to such a humble fixture in Glendale. read more

Island's is a small chain and each one is pretty much the same. The service might be better at some, but the food is pretty much the same. We really liked this one. The staff all had their masks on as required by law and I felt safe there. The place was pretty clean. It was not crowded, we were there a tad late, which was great. We love their new menu. They are using better beef and their truffle fries are great. The pricing is a tad higher, but I find it worth it. If you are on vacation this is a great place to stop and then wonder around the nearby mall. If local, well, you know it is good. We love their burgers. They are cooked to order and you don't have to have it well done, like some other places insist. I like mine rare, which they won't do, but medium rare is also great. They have a good selection of burgers. We also love their nachos. They are loaded with cheese, real cheese, not some gross sauce, and have beans on the bottom. The only issue I have is that if you order it without the peppers, make sure it comes that way and do not even try just to remove them. They leave a lingering taste and they burn my grandson's mouth. But when made the way asked, they are wonderful and you will love them. They have excellent guacamole and chips. You can have a side order of that or the wonderful guacamole is placed right on top of your nachos. Their deserts are yummy as well. We love their brownies, heated, and have them put ice cream on top. The service was super friendly and fast, but we never felt rushed. Have the best time. read more

Islands was a good visit for me and my friends. They seated us within 15 minutes on a decent day. The servers are nice and give lots of tissues so that was nice haha. The burgers are honestly one of my favorites (bleunami being my favorite). Fries are always good and delicious! They get 3 stars because of the waitress I had, if it wasn't for her they would get 1.5 stars. When I walk in, the hostess was rude and when I said "party of 1" she told me it was a 15-20mins wait. I was surprised because it was pretty empty and it was only ME! I asked if I can sit by the bar because that area was empty and she said "no" but yet there was a couple sitting at a countertop table, then I said "oh there's a small booth for 2, can I sit there," she says "no" I didn't want to argue nor I wanted to leave and walk to BJs, my feet were killing me from walking Americana, so I just waited...not even 5 mins passes and I get seated at the damn booth that I had asked her for me to sit, smh ‍ Waitress came, she was sweet, I ordered my drink and food and she was pleasant, gave me the suggestion to order the fries with my wrap. read more

i understand it gets busy but i asked for a table for 10 tonight and the younger host with blonde hair & glasses gave me so much attitude for it that i ended up apologizing bc i felt bad for asking for a table....like she made it known that she was irritated by the fact that i asked for a table....she let out an audible sigh and was physically so irritated that she ended up dropping her markers...it was my boyfriend's first time here so it kind of ruined his experience....i understand the frustration with big parties but i feel like as long as we're not rude there was no reason to be rude to us first? the servers were all super sweet though!!! 10/10 service other than the host and the food was delicious, i just wish we didn't start the night with that interaction read more

As a chain, standard menu which is okay with me. I gravitate towards their burger/fries with a vanilla shake. Sometimes I have a dessert; sometimes another shake!! Came in last week for an outing before the blur of the holidays. Erin was amazing! Attentive, friendly, and kept the drinks coming!

It's laid-back burger spot, perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. They're known for their burgers, so i would stick to that on the menu. They have a variety of toppings and sauces that allow you to customize the burgers. I personally loved their Kilauea burger, which is spicy and crunchy. The truffle fries was bomb too. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the generous portions and quality of food. They also offer a happy hour from 3pm-6:30pm. The only reason I'm not giving it a full five stars is that they seem to be understaffed a bit because we had to wait a while to be seated even though there were some empty tables available and our waiter rarely checked on us for drink refills or anything else we may need. Overall, I would recommend for anyone looking for a casual dining experience. While it may not be the most upscale or fancy spot, it's a great choice for a laid-back meal with friends or family. read more

Not sure why this restaurant only has a 3.6 rating. We came in after leaving the dump restaurant BJ's around the corner, and were promptly seated. Waiter took our order, got everything correct, kept our drinks filled, food came out timely (food was hot and cooked to order), and we have no complaints. Thanks for a great expericence.
