PEPPERONI PIZZA - add Serrano peppers
    Bianka G.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is big and clean so doesn't feel stuffy inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were a party of 12 and had no trouble on a Thursday evening getting a table. We ordered a little of everything so everyone could try a couple things. Overall, everything we had was good (just like I remembered it) and some things were really good. The salads were crisp and fresh. The pizzas were all cooked well (no burnt pieces). The dynamite shrimp is a great appetizer - crispy shrimp with a sweet spicy siriacha sauce. The Thai crunch salad half portion was a great amount and filling. The garlic cream and chicken piccata pastas were also good. We love spicy food and were we able to add Serrano peppers to our pizza for an extra kick. You must always get the BUTTER CAKE dessert with ice cream. A MUST! That warm soft butter cake with haagen dazs vanilla ice cream is a match made in heaven. Service was good and no one left hungry. They also validate your parking.

On Halloween, I brought my little one and her classmates to California pizza kitchen to enjoy a build your own Halloween themed pizza. I called the day or so beforehand to make sure the arrangements were possible. Not only did I kind of get the runaround but various people told me all kinds of interesting things about why they weren't sure whether or not this arrangement could be made possible. When I explained that I'd be bringing three children to do this activity on Halloween. They seem to kind of freak out. I think they assumed that I was bringing three irresponsibly unsupervised children to the restaurant to make a mess and run a muck. This was definitely not the case. I am proud to say that my little one and their friends know how to behave and they don't really associate with other kids who would behave so poorly. Anyway, the arrangements were set. Everything was made possible and we had no issues. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The kids had a lot of fun making their pizzas. The parents had a lovely time talking and helping the kids to get this done. The kids also had fun opening their Halloween goodie bags.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The restaurant staff were very friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Initially when we were arrived, There's a big mix of us so where we were supposed to be seated. Remember, like I told you, we had to have special arrangements made so that this Pizza making could take place. So we were seated in a particular portion of the restaurant that apparently is not utilized all too often. There's a lot of redecorating and moving a furniture and things that had to be done. But no worry, I rethink came together nicely and it went off without any problems.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The adults were able to order and enjoy lunch specials. The kids had their pizzas. We even overindulged in the butter cake flight. It was a very nice time. I have a feeling that simple things like drink refills and what not were a bit more of a problem since we were on the further side of the restaurant from everybody else. We came in a good time. Hopefully we can do it again soon. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the little bit of fall vibes that you got from the entryway just before the host stand. The foliage in the front in the fall Hughes was really pretty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    NEW - CATERING STEAKHOUSE SALAD

Got the steak salad to go and the fired potatoes in the salad were at least 2 days old and cold. The tomatoes were soggy and wilted. 6 Pieces of steak in a separate container were ok.. but $25 and this bad? So disappointed.

this is specifically for the weekday lunch specials which is a fantastic bargain...lunch specials are perfect for a light meal...starting at $9.99 for soup and salad....prices increasing slightly for pizza with soup or salad combos, half sandwich with soup or salad, or pasta with soup or salad...kids menu available also...for the price, the weekday lunches are one of the best deals in the area...[[HIGHLIGHT]]large location with plenty of tables and seats...[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]pizza was standard and as expected...the sandwiches were tasty, and same for the pasta and salad...great meals at a bargain...

I had to wait for a late-night pickup with a friend, so I decided to stop by for dinner alone around 7 PM on a Sunday evening in December. The place was about half full when I arrived, but it started getting busier about 30 minutes later. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was seated next to window that has view to street. It's a busy street so you will definitely enjoy it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the salmon and mushroom pizza to-go and couldn't resist the fresh bread they serve--I finished it all! The staff was friendly, and I appreciated that they're open late, perfect for anyone craving a late-night bite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was seated on a table close to an electricity plug so I was able to get my phone charged as well[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only slight downside is that the entrance can be a bit confusing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]CPK has a relaxed, family-friendly vibe with warm décor and calming music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a nice spot to hang out, and the staff was super friendly and helpful, always ready to answer any questions. As for the food, the avocado egg rolls were yummy as usual, but they didn't seem super fresh felt like they had been sitting under the heat lamp for a bit. The shrimp scampi zucchini, though, was really good and I enjoyed it!

The food was alright, I've been to other CPKs with better service. The servers name was Rogie and right from the start he looked like he didn't want to be there. We had to ask him three separate times to bring the complimentary bread, when he finally brought it to the table it wasn't even enough for all 6 of us. I work in the food industry and the service he gave us was far from satisfactory. He made both of our drinks waaaaay too sweet even when we asked for a different drink. So unprofessional especially for a place like Glendale! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Other than this the food was good, the place was a little small but it was cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

California Pizza Kitchen from me is very nostalgic as I used to frequent there since my high school days 10 years ago... I haven't been back in a long time especially after being vegan for a few years but came back for a work lunch. Sat outside and the tables were very dirty and dusty, But we still opted for it because the weather was so nice. We came during lunchtime, and they did have a lunch menu special. You can do a combo of two items. Appetizer spinach and artichoke dip guacamole and corn chips Entrees Tequila fettuccine with shrimp barbecue chicken pizza Chopped salad Food was ok, nothing spectacular.

    Sonja A.

Did not know what to expect for Glendale. On our way back to Bob Hope Burbank, we stopped for lunch (because we all know Burbank airport has a lot left to be desired). CPK seemed a "safe" option. We (and another patron of a separate dining party) had a tough time trying to find it (being from out of town). Elevator directory is a bit lacking. The Pizza was good, drinks ok and the service could use a bit of improvement. Slow and unfriendly. The waitress assumed we wouldn't finish our pizza nor have takeaway and wanted to clear table fast. Seriously it was not that busy. Aside from one tired child in the restaurant, the dining room felt comfy, clean and bright.

I recently went in and ordered a Philly cheesesteak over the counter. I waited patiently, tipped well, and about 20 minutes later an employee looked me directly in the eye, handed me a sandwich, and told me my order was ready. I got home, opened the sandwich, and found a turkey sandwich. Completely different order. I immediately called the store and explained what happened. Instead of an apology, I was told I needed to bring the sandwich back and that the entire sandwich needed to be there. Of course the entire sandwich was there. I hadn't touched it. I was also told they would start making my correct sandwich while I drove back. When I returned, the person I spoke with, who appeared to be a supervisor, manager, or owner, told me, "You must have taken the wrong sandwich." No. Your employee handed me the wrong sandwich and told me it was mine. When I explained that, the response was essentially, "Well, I was on break, so I don't know." That attitude bothered me far more than the original mistake. Mistakes happen. Handing someone the wrong sandwich is an easy mistake to forgive. What isn't so easy to overlook is treating the customer as though the mistake was somehow their fault, requiring them to drive all the way back, and showing virtually no apology or concern for wasting their time. Then came the replacement sandwich. The original cheesesteak I watched them prepare went through the pizza oven. The replacement did not. They also used American cheese instead of the cheese I ordered, and the sandwich was noticeably underbuilt, with very little meat, as shown in my photo. After the interaction I had just experienced, it was difficult not to view the replacement as passive-aggressive. What should have been simple was, "We're sorry. We handed you the wrong sandwich. We'll make this right." Instead, I felt accused, inconvenienced, and then handed a lesser sandwich as though they were doing me a favor. I've been coming here since the previous owners, going back to the late 1980s. Unfortunately, this also isn't the first time recently that I've received substandard service or a substandard product. At some point you have to stop judging a place by what it used to be and judge it by what it is today. For me, this experience did exactly that. I'd keep the photo of the underbuilt cheesesteak attached. It supports the part of the review people might otherwise dismiss as subjective.

In the meantime we decided to take a look what there was around to go eat in the meantime. What caught our attention when looking online was the Bugolgi Pizza. We decided to head out there and try it out. We arrived and the shop was very clean. We were greeted with smiles on their faces. Once we sat we looked over the menu and decided what we were going to order. We ordered a Bugolgi Pizza and Korean Style Fried Chicken. ( We ate it before we thought about taking a picture lol.) The food was delicious, very good and presentable. The Bugolgi pizza toppings were the Bugolgi Beef, onions and green bell peppers. Absolutely like no other. There's no other place that we know of that has Bugolgi on pizza. The order of the Korean Style Fried Chicken (we got plain because of our daughter) . Our basket had some potato wedges, some deep fried dumplings, and the chicken. We also got some I believe radish side, ketchup and ranch. Everything in that basket stars! It was so good. We all enjoyed our meal. To top everything off. My fiancé and I were so amazed at their customer service. They pay attention to their clients, they want you to be satisfied. I played their claw machine and they hinted the best way to win a prize on it. They saw we needed an extra plate and they brought it out without asking. My fiancé was the one who was able to win a prize from the claw machine. Shortly after when, one of the employees ( I'm not sure if owner) blew up a little heart balloon and attracted it to the plushie for our daughter. After paying we headed out to the door and he went out of his way to say goodbye to us with a smile on his face as we left. We definitely will be back. Thank you Hello Pizza

Hello Pizza brings Korean-inspired pizza to the neighborhood. Love the unique flavors (bulgogi,…read moreBuldak, potato) and pizza styles (ie. sweet potato mousse gold crust) they serve up here. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because I wasn't really a fan of their pizza dough, which to me, has a consistency of thin, dried, stale bread - that's just my personal opinion though. It didn't seem to bother anyone else in my party. I guess could round up to 4.5 stars 1. Bulgogi Gold Pizza (4.5/5) The bulgogi was marinated well and were evenly spread throughout each pizza slice. The base of this pizza is tomato sauce and it is topped off with onion, bell pepper and cheddar cheese. The gold crust of course if a layer of crispy melted cheese. The inside of the crust contains sweet potato mousse, which adds a slight sweetness to the palate. The combination works well. 2. Buldak Pizza (2/5) This is the newest item on their menu, so we had to try it. Love the concept of the flavor, but it just wasn't our favorite because it was too sweet. The bulk sauce is a Korean sweet and spicy sauce that kind of resembles BBQ sauce. We felt that the sweetness of the sauce overpowered everything, including the spicy part. The chicken was also too dry. I did like the stuffed cheese crust though as it had a decently cheesiness to it. It was good to try, but we will skip it next time. 3. Bulgogi Taco Pizza (5/5) What is there not to like about bulgogi and taco, let alone, in pizza form? The toppings are Korean marinated BBQ beef, chopped red onions, cilantro, and hot taco sauce. It was pleasantly savory and packed with flavor that's truly reminiscent of street tacos. 4. Potato Gold Pizza (5/5) If you are hungry and looking for a carb-heavy, yet satisfying bite, this is the pizza to get. It has tomato sauce base, topped with cheddar cheese, ground beef, strips of bacon, corn, onion, mushroom, sour cream and a slice of potato wedge on each slice of pizza. Of course, the crust contains the sweet potato mousse. The bacon and seasoned potato wedges really adds savoriness to this pizza. The corn and sweet potato mousse crust adds a tinge of sweetness. The combination of all the ingredients made our taste buds dance with happiness. Overall, I recommend Hello pizza to anyone who is wanting to venture to try new pizza flavors. It's a palate experience to remember!!!

Custom Medium would have cost me $31+ rather than $23+ for Medium Hawaiian Style only. I ended up with the latter and also got a regular Vodka Sauce Pasta. Total bill came to $38 including tax + tip. I enjoyed the pizza very much. Crust was thin. Sauce was tasty. Plenty of ingredients on pizza. Square cuts versus slice cuts. As for the Vodka Sauce Pasta, it didn't taste the same as before. This time it tasted bland as if it had plain marinara sauce only. Slightly disppointed about that, hence, 4 stars! My dining partner enjoyed his pepperoni/sausage half less, but said that the pepperonis were the most flavorful ingredient, the sausage didn't do it at all for him (too little flavor) and that the sauce want his favorite. However he still said that he enjoyed the pizza overall! We've heard that their ajarskis are not to be missed, so next time we will try that. I can imagine that this crust would lend itself perfectly to ajarski. We also got some sodas. They have the glass bottle Cokes w cane sugar! And they have Dr Pepper (cans only)! I feel like that's often hard to find at restaurants, and it's my favorite. This place is cozy. They have a handful of nice wooden tables inside, and the space is actually comfortable to sit in, with good lighting and the warmth of the pizza oven on cold days! The have two outside tables as well, with a heater! This style of pizza really reminds me of the pizzas in northern Italy, and this place is doing quite a good version of that that I feel you actually rarely find here, even in LA and certainly not at these great prices. I've had fancy expensive versions like this in this town that I've enjoyed less. On that point alone, this place is knocking it out of the park. Quality that doesn't break the bank. Our pizza was prepared quickly, brought to our table pipping hot and with friendly service. Parking is pretty easy in this location, if not put front in the diagonal street spaces, along the streets in the neighborhood on the ends of the block. And if you're hankering for dessert, there's an excellent gelato place right next door to complete your tour of Italy!

What is this? A salad for ants?!?!?! Ordered their salads…read moretoday for lunch Got two salad one was the one with shrimp and the other was the Antipasto Salad. The default size is the "small", the next size up is a "large" and costed a few dollars more. I didn't realize that they meant SMALL! The portions of salad was ridiculous!!! One of my pictures show the salad and the other one was the salad after three bites! Each one of the salads was over 12 dollars!!! Like how you gonna give portions like that? This is embarrassing during a time when everything is so expensive. At least throw some more lettuce in there, a bag of three romaine heads cost 3.99 at the store. Shame on this restaurant! Never again!

He gave us perfect recommendations, especially for me, for which I have several autoimmune diseases that require a gluten and dairy free diet. Once we got our food, we were also pleasantly surprised! It came out in a timely manner, and was all made to perfection. The garlic knots (which were recommended!) were divine! I haven't had garlic knots in years because I've gone gluten free, and these felt like real dough. The brown rice flour pizza was also incredible and tested just like the real thing (even with vegan cheese)! All-in-all, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience and will be back very soon. We even live about an hour away, but will be making the trip simply for the lovely service and excellent food!
