Had a pretty decent visit here - took my wifes car in for oil change. No line at the time…read more They will check for things they can upsell you on, like cabin are filter, etc. They do wash your windows, but not vacuum (not that I expected it, but some lube/oil places do) Waiting area had free coffee and TV; loved the old oil cans/memorabilia for decorations. Quick, gracious service Prices a little high, they did take my email with a promise to send coupons, havent seen that yet. Would recommend!

Instead of doing the oil change properly, their technician chose to vacuum the oil out because removing the undercarriage cover would "take too long." We relied on their expertise and trusted they knew what they were doing. The car was driven a short distance after the service and seemed fine. The next morning, however, it started misfiring immediately and was clearly unsafe to drive. The vehicle remained parked until it could be evaluated, and was eventually towed to a certified mechanic. The mechanic diagnosed a missing camshaft seal and advised that this type of failure is consistent with improper oil extraction using suction equipment and would not occur during a standard oil change. We paid $613.79 in repairs, plus the original $97.95 oil change. We made multiple attempts to contact the shop (calls and email). Eventually, their claims manager called on 3/25/2026 and denied the claim solely because they didn't get to inspect the vehicle first--ignoring the fact that the car was unsafe to drive and that we didn't even know they caused the issue until after a professional diagnosis and repair. At this point, it's not just about the damage, it's about accountability. Cutting corners for convenience caused real damage, and they've refused to take responsibility. We are now pursuing this through small claims court. Use caution. An oil change shouldn't result in engine damage.

John Mendrin was fantastic to work with--friendly, professional, and knowledgeable throughout the whole process. He made everything simple and stress-free, and there was never any pressure. We were also very pleased with the trade-in value they gave us for our pickup, which was fair and made the decision even easier. From start to finish, everything went extremely smoothly. Everyone at the dealership was welcoming, helpful, and genuinely pleasant to work with. We drove away in our new Explorer with smiles on our faces and couldn't be happier with our experience. Thank you, John Mendrin and the entire Astoria Ford team, for making our vehicle purchase such a positive one. We highly recommend Astoria Ford to anyone looking for a great car-buying experience! Call them when the car breaks down, and you'll receive contradictory advice with one common denominator - Astoria Ford cannot possibly be at fault. One representative told me that it would do no good to "talk about the past," by which he meant my most recent car breakdown 15 minutes prior. My beat-up, sand-filled 2015 Toyota Rav with well over 250,000 miles has one huge advantage over the 2025 Ford Bronco - it gets me from point A to B. Luckily, I won't be driving it for 3 more weeks since it is in the shop for the 4th time in 6 months.
