Our kitchen took no time at all to come together once COVID 19 ban was lifted. I have recommend Wholewoods to friends and family that are looking at placing in new cabinets/counters. The one portion of the process that I was not as happy with was the counter tops; I chose specifically the pieces that I wanted and stated I liked a certain one for on the island due to the beautiful markings in the granite and the other piece to be used for the smaller hidden area side I even sent in a power point layout... that did not happen it was reversed and nothing to cure that once it is cut and installed so my recommendation is to sit down with the fabricator yourself if doing granite or marble that have different slabs that don't match up. My brand new house had…read morea mudroom bench and shelving that was not practical so after a lot of thought, I bit the bullet and decided to remodel the mudroom. I contacted Kaci Woodworks along with two closet companies to get quotes for a new bench, shelves and drawers. I was able to get exactly what I wanted with Kaci at a price that was reasonable. The closet companies gave me quotes for prefabricated and non customizable units that would have left gaps from the walls to the units and would not have looked anywhere near as nice as what Kaci Woodworks produced. The bench, shelves are sturdy and very beautiful. And so much nicer than the rest of my cabinets in my kitchen and bathrooms. The attention to detail and pride in his craft really show from the beautiful paint job to the perfect installation without fillers--Hakim is a true craftsman. I would highly recommend him.

They were affordable, knowledgeable, and very willing to work with my needs and my budget. They were able to obtain the permits that were needed which is an important and valuable service. They also took care of the structural engineering that was needed to make sure that we had sufficient support for the deck. Their showroom is very helpful. There are samples and some mockups of decks, railings, lighting, etc. There are lots of options and the staff was great about explaining the options but not pressure-upselling. I felt comfortable choosing the materials and extras with their help. After the project was finished, there was one support post that didn't look finished to me when I looked at it from our dining room window. All Decks was great about coming out. After seeing and understanding what I wanted to upgrade, they were able to install a matching trim piece that made the post look complete. The deck has been installed now since Oct 2024. It still looks great and I couldn't be happier.

Not only did they install a beautiful custom made railing on my interior stairs and the bridge that connects both sides of my upstairs, they also coordinated with their subcontractor, Prymych Home Services, to replace my carpeting with LVP flooring. City Bee ran both the railing and flooring projects so I had one quote, one contract and one project manager. Their price was very competitive, they did high quality work, and they finished in a timely manner. Oleksandr, the owner, project managed everything and made himself available all throughout the project. He was very responsive to all my questions and provided thorough answers so I could understand the technical aspects of the work. And when I wanted a couple of small changes they were accommodated cheerfully without impacting the project timeline. I highly recommend City Bee and wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

He also patiently worked with us to help decide which composite to use for the staircase surface. Wasili then send us a very fair bid. After he sent us photos of other houses for which he did similar work, we accepted his bid. Wasili came out to our house the very next day, dropping supplies off and starting demo. When he did that, he also went above and beyond. He suggested two upgrades to the work he bid on, offering for free to provide am additional cross-brace and to use composite for the risers as well. Naturally we accepted the upgrades. He got the work completed in 2 1/2 days. Everyone who's seen the work has complimented it. If we have future projects, we'll reach out to Vertex first.

Disappointing experience with their scheduling process…read more I had been seeing their ads on Facebook and reached out for an estimate to build a deck. During the initial call, I explained that we were ready to move forward soon, assuming we could agree on pricing. I also casually mentioned that my husband was currently on a work trip and that we would make a final decision within about a week. The scheduler responded by asking if we could postpone the estimate until all "homeowners" were available at home because there would otherwise be too much back-and-forth. I found this to be an odd requirement for a simple estimate appointment and said so. The response was that there would be "a lot of back and forth." That explanation didn't sit well with me. For a project worth tens of thousands of dollars, it felt unreasonable to suggest that an initial estimate couldn't proceed because one spouse was away. Whether intentional or not, the interaction came across as dismissive and left me feeling like they were unwilling to work with me directly during the early stages of the process. At that point, I asked them to end the call and not contact me again.

While Rydawell is good at cabinetry (they get 1 star for that), their foray into building out…read morecamper vans (i.e. Sprinter) has resulted in an extremely poor experience for me on the mechanical and quality elements. Not only did the build out take forever (7 months), but since picking up my van on my first/second use, I have had roof leaks because they didn't install the "C" gaskets right for the AC unit, I experienced multiple leaks in the pressurized plumbing system (see pictures below) which caused wood damage to the cabinetry due to poor PEX seals, I still have no relief from the misbehaving (and Rydawell recommended) Ecoflow electrical system, I discovered they failed to insulate the sliding door, they actually plumbed the gray water lines into the BOTTOM of the gray water tank using the same penetration point as the drain (this caused water to back up into the shower pan when using the sinks (not to mention it would fail completely in freezing weather) and I discovered that the Rixen heating system was installed against manufacturer recommendations (to name just some of the issues). This has caused me thousands of dollars to get repaired (so far) at another (competent) van builder. While his hourly rate may seem cheaper, it takes him much longer to accomplish work items. As an example, his quote to install a 2nd battery (which he was supposed to have left room for) was twice as long as I was able to get it done elsewhere by professional van builders.

I was very impressed with his knowledge and his ability to translate everything into laymen's terms that I could understand. Additionally, he spent an extremely long amount of time on my property, looking at everything and pouring over the construction plans. I felt confident that he was considering everything before giving his opinion and suggestions. Lastly, I found his rates more than reasonable, especially for the amount of time he spent on my property and his level of expertise. I highly recommend Dimitry and Structural Design Shop if you are in need of a knowledgeable, experienced residential structural engineer.

I reached out to Dmitriy in a panic and he was available to swing by practically the next day and immediately come up with a series of far more nuanced, elegant solutions that actually took into account the age of our house and the scale of the project. After his initial site visit, he was able to get detailed structural sketches to us in under 3 days. In a city where structural engineers are routinely turning down projects or quoting weeks or even months-long turnaround times, that in itself was a miracle. You can tell he works hard and definitely knows his stuff. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out if you need an extremely smart and impossibly responsive pro to swoop in and save your ass, like we did!
