We had finished dinner nearby and were looking for a place to grab a cocktail, when one of my…read morefriends suggested the Hide Rooftop in the Artezen Hotel. The bi-level bar and lounge was dark, swanky, and seductive. It would make an excellent spot for dates or groups of friends, like mine. We started off sitting at the bar, as there were no large tables available upon our arrival. However, after about 15 minutes, the host approached to tell us that he could actually seat us. I picked up my glass, which was wet with condensation, and it slipped out of my hands. I was able to collect it with only a minor spill, but the host insisted that the bar staff make me a new cocktail in case the glass had chipped at all. It was a considerate gesture that I greatly appreciated. Plus, since I had already taken a few sips, I was thrilled to get those back in a new glass! In terms of my cocktail of choice, I had opted for the Hot Tijuana Tease, a fiery blend of mezcal, blanco tequila, chile poblano liqueur, and lime juice. So, it was essentially a spicy margarita, and it was excellent. There were clean, crisp notes of peppery heat balanced with layers of robust smoke. My only complaint about the lounge was that the bathrooms were beyond tiny. There were two unisex stalls in a very tight alcove that also included a cramped sink counter. It was awkward and uncomfortable to share that space with another patron. Aside from that, the Hide Rooftop was a beautiful place with a friendly staff and interesting drinks.

My friend and I had the Prince of Whales afternoon tea for $149 per person and a glass of rose. I had the jasmine pearl tea which is a green tea and my friend had the moulin rouge tea which is a white tea. I actually liked my friend's tea more than mine. The scones were light and fluffy. For savories, I really enjoyed the miniature maine lobster roll, American egg caviar deviled egg, smoked salmon, and angus beef tartare. For sweets, the New York cheesecake and chocolate mousse were my favorites. I was disappointed, they did not acknowledge my birthday at the end and it was noted on the reservation. At the end of our tea time, we went to the bar for cocktails. The bar is gorgeous, high ceilings and love the chandeliers. Prices are high since every single drink is served in Baccarat crystal glasses. The Baccarat old fashioned is $55, I actually enjoyed the French martini more that was $32. My friend also liked her Baccarat French 75 that was $42. Tip is already included for afternoon tea and drinks at the bar. It was definitely a wonderful experience especially since it was a special occasion. I look forward to coming back.

I had previously stayed at The Baccarat over Covid and had been meaning to try it out anyway. It worked out. To start, the ambience and service are impeccable. I felt right at home. I got the Prince of Wales afternoon tea and it was exactly what I needed in my life!!! It had one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had in my life and omg the scones!!! I was addicted to the apricot preserves that came with it. That on top of the fluffiest scones I've ever had. Omg. I have a good mind to go there again just because. I was sooo full afterwards! Highly recommend if you're looking for afternoon tea. You can't go wrong!

We loved the flatbread pizza, guacamole, chicken sliders, and cocktails while taking in views of the Empire State Building, Times Square, and the Jersey skyline. If you're planning a visit, go on a Friday! The DJs keep the energy going with a mix of music from house to which it ended with a R&B and Caribbean vibe. Bonus: there are two floors and private event spaces. (The rooftop is open to the public Monday through Friday only, while weekends are reserved for private events.) The service was good.Definitely a rooftop worth adding to your NYC list!

Super cool entrance, very industrial yet chic vibes. There were fairly nice views from the inside, but I imagine they're a lot better from the outside. For drinks I got the Lime Leaf and my bf got the Blackberry. Mine was refreshing and maybe a bit more spirit-forward than I prefer, but still good. My bf enjoyed his drink, which was quite strong. I also got the watermelon and feta appetizer, which I thought was quite good! The fruit was interestingly crispy (in a good way!) and it came with almost a lime sorbet dolloped on top which was cold and added a nice refreshing touch. A little on the pricey side but still overall a good experience. Service was relatively attentive.
