    Chicken Parm
    Danielle V.

First time at Italia, as we came on a recommendation from a friend for my birthday dinner. We came early right when it opened. The table ordered a large Cesar salad to share and we all ordered the same thing. Either the chicken parm or the chicken Toscana. I have to say, I was quite disappointed by the presentation of the chicken toscana. It didn't appear the way it sounded on the menu. It definitely needed some other items mixed it. It was too much of a gravy sauce consistency. It was tasty but I probably would not order it again. And it was definitely missing the pancetta it was promised to have. Overall the bread was good and the chocolate cake they offered for my birthday was a nice treat. Would definitely be back to try other dishes.

Guys, I wish I could leave you a better review, but tonight's effort was extremely poor. The fried calamari had so very little calamari and way too much peppers and sausage not like we've had it previously. The Caesar salads were very good as were the cocktails. The Burata salad was also quite nice. The linguine with clam sauce while it looked spectacular was flavorless with zero clam flavor try finishing the linguine in some clam juice. It helps tremendously. It didn't have enough salt. It didn't have enough olive oil and I couldn't taste any white wine in it at all. The pork chop on risotto - the pork chop was quite excellent to be perfectly honest. The risotto was so overcooked such that it was like a mash or a porridge. The mushroom risotto was the same way overcooked I know you have to par cook the Arborio for risotto to have it ready for service in a reasonable time. But then they cooked it way too long and it just became mush. Sorry. The calamari, Burata salad and the pork chop were all much smaller portions than previously served pictures attached. Very disappointing.

I won a gift card for this place and really enjoyed the food. The service was great too

Delicious Italian food. I recommend making a reservation. Delicious pasta & daily specials. Their cheese ravioli was great paired with their delicious bolognese sauce. Chicken parmigiana and the short rib lasagna roll looked great too. Service was good and they were busy. Great oil with bread to start.

    Roasted mushroom pizza...sooo good!

For years now, they have made me a fabulous vegan pasta primavera! And there warm bread and seasoned olive oil is the best.

Food was awesome. Calamari was best I ever had. Not deep fried with excellent sauce and presentation. Flat bread pizza is also terrific

"May I see the wine list, please?" I asked. They don't have one. But they DO have wine, a nice selection from Italy. In describing what I like -- cab or malbec, around $30 -- the owner/server/host, suggested an excellent blend. $27. We started with antipasto. Look at my photo. Does that look good, or what?! Both T and I ordered piccata -- he veal, me chicken. Served over homemade fettuccini, the entrees were light, lemony and delicious. Dessert? Why yes. I asked the owner/server/host what the most popular dessert is. Limoncello cake. Not made in house, but boy, was it good! (I made sure T didn't have more than his fair share.) Not to be a snob, but NYC boasts the most delicious Italian restaurants. We know our food! And son-of-a-gun, three of the five tables tonight were filled with New Yorkers. Everyone other than us had been to Piccolo before. (And yes, I do talk to people I don't know!) If you don't want to wait weeks to get in to Carmello's, give Piccolo a try. I think you'll be pleased.

Our server (Sky) was welcoming and attentive. Food - Good. I could have easily assigned the experience 5 stars had the food only been a bit better. This is the second time that I dined at this restaurant. The first time I had a pasta entree and it was extremely salty. We had noticed many other people ordering the pizza then, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the charcuterie and the carne pizza to share with my wife. The pizza was very good. It had a thin crust with ample toppings. The charcuterie was disappointing. At a cost of $24, it was sparse. There three types of meat that were sliced thin into very tiny piles. The cheese consisted of about six very small pieces each of blue cheese and a dry (unrecognizable) cheese. There was a small pile of almonds, a tiny serving of relish and a few pieces of artichoke hearts. Overall Value - Good, but could be much better.

Sky was our server and he was excellent. We started off with the charcuterie board. It showed up with bleu cheese, which neither of us like, so he went and got us some mozzarella, which was very nice. Everything was good, but my only improvement would be to have more than one little piece of bread, maybe some crackers. We then decided to order a carne pizza. The pizza was perfect. Thin crust, tasty sauce and lots of toppings. Unfortunately we couldn't even finish it as we were so full. This was a much better experience than our previous trip.
