So good, I pulled a Drake and went Back to back on two occasions for some great Italian food. We pulled up thinking they were closed but a waiter immediately told us they were still going for the night. Boy did she not disappoint. Served us some of the best garlic bread, vegetable and chicken soup, steak, and pasta we've had in a while. Decided to catch them again to see if the first visit was a fluke. This time for an early evening dinner. Coincidentally, we had the same waiter as the first visit and again she did an amazing job. She was very patient and of course, the food was amazing. The salmon piccata and chicken piccata were both very filling. Have I mentioned the vegetable and chicken soup. I really like that soup. Also to note, they give very large portions of the proteins. It's easily worth the money. Check out my photos and you'll see what I'm talking about. As for the decor, they have some really nice paintings, indoor and outdoor seating, and a good sized bar! Check them out if you're in the area!

The food is always enjoyable for both dine in and take out. However, my last visit here - we did take out for Mother's Day, and I was disappointed. We got up charged for every single tweak, which has never happened. Swapping out spaghetti for penne, for instance. The meatballs were not good and the fried ravioli was soggy because they pre-mixed them with ten sauce. But what really disappointed me, was all the meals are advertised with they come with a soup or house salad. However, on Mother's Day we were told that they weren't doing that. So we were charged the same amount, and if we wanted a salad/soup it was an additional charge. It wasn't advertised or anything. It's a way to make extra money on a busy day which really rubbed me the wrong way, especially after being a loyal patron.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. I'm not usually one to write…read morereviews, but my experience last night stuck with me so much that I had to share it. It was just my partner and me, we ordered the shrimp and chicken Alfredo along with the toasted ravioli--both were phenomenal. While we were there, we heard a few customers complaining about the wait, but we also overheard the owner explaining that everything is made fresh to order. Knowing that, we expected it might take a little longer and waited in the car. After a bit, I went to check on our order, but before I could even say anything, she immediately apologized and explained that she had run out of Alfredo sauce and was making a fresh batch for us. I was completely fine with that and super sweet to her after, who wouldn't want fresh sauce? But what really stood out was what she did after. Not only did she personally bring the food out to our car, but she also included extra bread and a sweet treat to make up for the wait. That level of kindness and care is rare. I'm local to Austin, and I can confidently say this place is worth going out of your way for. Supporting small businesses always matters, but even more than that, this is someone who truly deserves the support. Incredible service, generous hospitality, and amazing food all around.

Enjoy outdoor seating or, order a Beer or Margarita at Ernie's which is adjacent. Today we got the Spinach Ravioli with Garlic Butter. This meal comes with Garlic Bread. And is absolutely delicious. Also try the Meatball Sandwich with Mozzarella - Yum!! Hope you get a chance to try this spot in Cibolo next to Ernie's (which feature bottom - up taps BTW). Tell them David sent you. They may not know who I am but, you'll remember the food. As always, Eat In Good Health.
