My family has been visiting Italian Pie since it was a single restaurant in Lawrenceville. Back then they had notes of praise all over the restaurant and their service rocked as did their pizza. We have had multiple issues with customer service with this location and with orders being wrong, pretty much every time we go here there is something wrong, but we try to tolerate it, try to help the owner by letting him know if things are not right. I have never felt like they didn't care if our experience was bad, that is before tonight. We do not typically use Uber Ears so the issues we have had before tonight had nothing to do with Uber. Even tonight's really didn't have anything to do with Uber. We get our order, all nicely wrapped in a bag delivered by Uber. We open it inside and realize that they didn't send the fries we paid to have added. We call the restaurant and the person who answered our us on the phone with what appeared to be the manager. First he lies to us that he had no way of knowing what We order from Uber? How could you make it then? Wouldn't the amount charged be too high if they didn't know? So we try to make him pull out the receipt and go over it with us, something he didn't want to do. He finally admits that YEA he can see the item we ordered that wasn't included, but now he explains that it was the UBER drivers fault because they should have checked the item before delivering it? So you are telling me they just untie knots to see what is the the bags YOU packaged? Why would it not be the restaurants responsibility to make sure the food delivered matched what was ordered? We made it clear that we have been going there for many years, well over 10 I believe and I wondered if it is worth it to him to argue with a customer over. $3-$4 item? Just apologize! Make it right! But no, not this manager. It must have felt really good being right, at least in his mind. I hate people who threaten to never come back. Obviously this guy doesn't care if I come back or not. This place is very good, but not great. The pizza was a little light on the sauce, and the sauce was lacking flavor. It was certainly a better pie than say, Papa John's or some other chain. The salads here are fresh and have adequate toppings. Be careful when you ask for the house dressing, as it is just oil and vinegar. read more

I've been meaning to try this place for a while & finally ordered take out tonight. Service was quick & friendly. We ordered a side Greek salad - which they accidentally made a large, SCORE - and medium pizza with pineapple & pepperoni. The salad was not lacking flavor & included lots of fresh toppings. And the medium pizza was bigger than I expected & tasty too. Overall, a nice addition to Dacula! We'll be back! read more

Food was good but the service was terrible. I'm a regular in there but today might be the last time I go. I go in and everybody is in cellphones with their headphones plugged in. After waiting to be recognized I gave my order and requested jalapeño peppers cooked in my philly and guy gave some remarks about not having it and I had to repeat it twice because he couldn't understand what I was saying. He also made some smart ass remarks to guy standing beside him. I thought it was pretty unprofessional. When my sandwich was brought out it didn't have the fries and asked him where they were and he seemed surprised by me asking. He said he would bring them out but he never did. I went back to the counter and saw him back on his cellphone with his headphones in trying to hide in the back. They finally brought me fries but I was done with my sandwich by then. Having had pizza in places like San Remo, Verona, Venice and Milan I could say that although I'm not an expert I know a thing or two about authentic Italian pizza and this place is awesome! I ate at the restaurant once and had delivery two days later, I enjoyed the food very much both times. The ingredients are abundant, fresh and of the highest quality! Their lemon pepper chicken wings are to die for (I had never tried this recipe before) and the Greek salad is a hit with lots of feta cheese! Besides pizzas, salads and wings, I also saw pastas, calzones and sandwiches on the menu. The owners Rafael and Jenny are extremely kind and customer driven and this great attitude and superb quality of service trickles down to the rest of the staff both in the kitchen and servers. The place has nice outdoor seating available as well as booths and tables inside, although the place is not huge they easily accommodate large groups. I can't wait to go back to Atlanta and eat there again! read more

Don't let teenagers with attitude take orders and man the front counter..... Placed a pickup order for 1 large pepperoni pizza and 1 small extra cheese pizza. Arrived to pickup my order and it was wrong. My large pepperoni pizza was a cheese pizza, when I repeated my order to the clerk I was pretty much told I was wrong and I ordered whatever they made..... The solution was just to add pepperoni to my already cooked (and sitting) pizza and throw it back in the oven..... Unacceptable! It is not the same as making a fresh pizza, real pizza lovers know what I mean... When I asked the clerk if that was what they were doing, he made a face and replied "yes" in typical moody teenager fashion... Do ya'll remember when you were in elementary school and they served that square pizza on Fridays? Well that was 10 times better than this pizza!! The menu is like reading directions on how to build a space ship (fried fish, fries, etc. at an Italian place). The only reason that I gave this establishment 2 stars is because of their wings. the Spicy Hawaiian wings were LEGIT!!! That is the only thing that I would eat from there. They make good wings my advise is to stick with that. They should have been arrested by the Pizza Police. I have never had pizza with a crust like that( crumbly, hard, bland). read more

I love this place and am so glad they opened in Dacula. The wings are good and not as expensive as they are at most places nowadays. They have deals that make feeding a family affordable. I do wish the inside was a little nicer for eating there, and the pizza taste was "off" the last few times we ate there, but I'm confident that was a temporary problem. Good food but crappy service. Ordered food on the phone for pickup. Arrive 25-30 minutes later to pick it up and half of it wasn't ready. No one knew why...not nor did anyone seem sorry about it. I was told "oh we'll have it done in 10 min"...20 min later no food...and once again no one seems to care or offer up an apology. One person half heartedly mumbled "sorry" no manager came to see what happened. Everyone just stood around looking confused. I've been going here 3 years...I'll find another place to go. The food was delicious. Not a very descriptive menu online when it comes to certain menu items. Customer service by the person that answers the phone not so satisfactory. He wasn't very helpful and was kinda rude on the phone and when we went to pick up our order like he hated his job and didn't want to be there. Very disappointed in the experience at Italian pizza pie this evening. I know it is a busy Friday night and they were quit busy, but I ordered a chicken salad and 6 piece wings. My friends ordered a pizza and calzone, so after 30 minutes, they had finished their meal my husband went to ask about our food. We were told that had only been 25min and others were ahead of us we would have to wait. My husband then asked for a refund so we could go eat elsewhere and was made feel we were being unreasonable and treated with indifference by both Joe and Felix and the entire staff that was surrounding the register escalating the conflict. I watched as many as 10 customer come in the door order and leave with their pizza while I waited for a salad and wings. Now I am no restaurant expert but a pizza take much more time to make than a salad. Unfortunately I believe they did not want a gay couple in their establishment and was purposeful in their actions not to serve us. I hate to think his about others but it is hard to understand why pizza were being turned out left and right, my friends serve in minutes and many other customer getting their orders, honestly I could have that salad out in 5 minutes. And if there had been an error or lost our order I would have completely understood and been willing to wait, but no we were made to feel this was our fault. Joe and Felix need to be trained in customer service and engagement with the customer and to be a honest brokers and not blame the customer for their mistakes, be honest and explain the delay. I hope they don't discriminate but I will never return to any location of this establishment, because I feel really feel it was all on our purpose because we were a gay couple. Garlic Knots, pizza, calzones.... all AWESOME! Great customer service. I would eat there three times a day if I could. It is like going into a real Italian family restaurant with blown up actual photos of old timey establishments on the wall. You can stand and order to go or sit and be served, either one allows you to watch actual food being made... dough brought out of proofing boxes and swirled and stretched to make your order, not some factory stamped and frozen static crust. Fresh ingredients and inviting smells round out t he picture of a perfect eating experience. Have loved everything we have ordered and will keep on trying until we taste the whole menu. AMAZING, is putting it lightly, no wonder this place was voted the best In Dacula. My family has been going here since they opened, and we have found this to be the Best of the Best. The diameter and quality of the pizza is in fact unprecedented and they use generous portions of fresh ingredients to create a masterful delicacy. I live in Hamilton Mill, and on trash day, I can't help but spot a number of their oversized boxes in the recycling bins as I pass thru my subdivision. I can honestly say, I LOVE this place. What a sad excuse for a specialty veggie Pizza. The first time I ordered from this place the bottom of the pizza was completely black and unedible. I decided to give them another try. The crust was soggy there was about a teaspoon of sauce on the whole pie and the cheese was practically nonexistent. In addition they forgot two of the toppings and didn't take any care to make sure that the toppings were evenly distributed instead of in clumps so that no one slice actually had the variety of toppings ordered thereby negating the point of ordering a combination of toppings. I went out and bought another pizza from the grocery store and it was actually what a pizza supposed to be like. I will be getting my $ back. Also for an Italian restaurant they have the most disgusting creamy Italian dressing I have ever had in my entire life. It was like watery mayonnaise with a gallon of sugar dumped in it.
