This is my local pizza spot, and I have been visiting since we moved to the neighborhood several years ago. We usually phone in orders for holidays and birthday parties, and stop by for a slice when craving pizza. Order ahead if you want more than a slice. Pizza Rosa is a friendly, family-owned business with a small storefront and fun wall art. Service is fast and friendly. I love the smell of the pizza cooking in the oven and all their other yummy entrees. They offer daily specials and a variety of toppings. Being a vegetarian, I always get cheese, but when ordering for the family, pepperoni is the usual order.

Went here last night after a botched attempt sometime last year. Ordered for pickup and while I was waiting went to the butcher shop next door, which seemed to only have chorizo, coiled and loose. Having just eaten the chorizo for breakfast I can tell you it's delicious, however the medium is the hot if you are a wimp(me). Back to the pizza, I thought it was delicious! When people talk about pizza with a chewy crust, I imagine this is what they are talking about, clearly intentional and tasty! For those with jaw issues, this might not be the right pizza, I ate about two pieces before stopping. I also ordered the garlic cheese bread, carb up before and during pizza...why not. I'll post this here, I am having a dry January, so eating a ton of pizza was nice, because I wasn't distracted by beer... I would eat pizza from here again. They also sell by the slice.

    Best cheese pizza ever!

First off, I don't like pizza. Never cared for it. My husband decided to order from Italian Pizza Rosa because I was craving a pizza (I know, right) and it changed MY life. We ordered a single slice cheese pizza and it was the best pizza I've ever had! Typically, if I had to eat a pizza, it would have xyz toppings but this time we weren't feeling anything other than a plain pizza. How does a cheese pizza taste so good? Italian Pizza Rosa offers you just that. The slice is biiiiiig. The cheese is piping hot and stringy and the marinara is the right amount of tomato with a thin crust. Every bite is SO. DAMN. GOOD. Add parmesan cheese + red chili flakes. If you have Truff sauce, dab some of that on it too. You're welcome. We have tried other toppings such as sausage and pepperoni but sometimes when you want simplicity, a cheese pizza will suffice. They only offer slices on weekdays so I suggest calling ahead of time for availability. Trust me when I say the pizza is so good, I wrote it in my vows. Also, please support small businesses!

Dang just dang. I have been wanting to try this little spot for a while now and had the chance to do so today because I remembered it haha. I was not disappointed. Cheese was cheesy and hot pepperoni was just crispy enough to crunch but not dry or burnt. The crust was soft on the inside with a fantastic little crunch. I would hands down eat here again in a heart beat. Billy at the counter was awesome and such a nice dude to chat with while I waited. I'll be back! And the price was awesome for 3 big ole slices haha

    Championships by the slice.

"Every pizza is a personal pizza if you try hard enough and believe in yourself." -Inspirational quote #999 I tip toed into Pizza Rosa for a wee slice of pie. The $5 transaction minimum for cards meant I had to order two slices. Little did I know what a lot of pizza I was bringing into my precious, silky life. $2.25 goes a loooooong way at Pizza Rosa. How does a slice the size of a gaudy kite strike you? I don't think I have ever eaten so much pizza at such cost effective prices. These are not wafer thin experiments in stinginess. These slices whop other whopping slices right out of the box. I am oddly relieved I was able to persevere through the first slice and onto the second. Pizza here requires grit and the purity of heart to see a task through to its completion. Those who practice on microwave Celeste pizzas at home need not apply. Pizza Rosa is for the true believers with the faith to eat something greater than themselves. Order. Then never give up chewing. The manager was as much fun to be around. He presented as an amicable fellow possessed of the motive to deal in pizza slices of everlasting vastness. He kept the mood light, and the decor fit his demeanor too. Lots of offbeat pizza posters and comic strips featuring pizza dazzle the eye at Pizza Rosa. Once I am done with another round of training, I'll be back to dine again. I just have to stay hungry so that when the pizza comes at me fast, my jaw will widen to the occasion. Thanks for making me feel like a content contender, Pizza Rosa.

I think this is on everyone's speakeasy list!…read more Make sure you make a reservation It is very packed. They offer bar seating and booth / table Follow the wall from Randy's donuts and Look for a wall of Japanese sake/beer barrels and head towards the restaurant - the rolling boil. There will be a check in host and stand there and wait (it will be located up against the wall with a big secret door right next to the hostess station) It's very New York inside. When I first came in Spring with the amazing, Karen, the menu and everything was great Now, I took my friend who was in town from Nashville and it was a brand new theme. It's the great Gatsby. Even our waitress, Jasmine was dressed for the occasion. I would say this place is known for Absinthe. They have cocktails featuring it or you can get one of the huge apparatus (huge and glowing green) which, if you are into it? I highly recommend. Just one of the huge apparatus makes one regular drink. Or, what Karen and I did, was split it and make it into a shot for the both of us. The waitress comes out and shows you how it works and goes over everything. Karen, who I came with, was a pro and knew her way around it. She showed me the ropes lol. Honestly, if you are here? When in Rome. Go all out and try it, since it's where they shine here. They took off a few menu items and added some themed drinks. ( a couple new champagne themed drinks) They have big entree items but I suggest small bites and sharing and mostly coming for the drinks. There's no bathroom inside, so you do have to leave the bar and go to the closest one (over behind Randy's donuts) and then enter the speakeasy again Both times coming here I've never had an issue. It's a small, packed place. And yet they still have the cocktails flowing and the food coming out in a good time. So the food and drinks are good Atmosphere is lovely. Service is good. Especially for it usually being very busy in here This place is located inside the Anaheim packing district. So I suggest hitting up a couple other spots before or afterwards for some more food or drinks P.S. it is very dark In here. They never cared if we used our light to look at the menu. However, they do not want flash photography They also do not strictly enforce a dress code (my friend from Nashville asked) however, they suggest dressing business casual and not too underdressed

I really liked the clarified strawberry drink, similar to strawberry and cream. I ordered a drink after that unfortunately forgot the name (photo attached with a tall glass) but there was no special cocktail craft taste to it. Just hard liquor taste and undrinkable :( the bartender kindly offered another drink. Unfortunately none of the food was the least bit good. Steak and fries was ordered medium rare and cooked to medium well with what seemed like no seasoning was on there at all. Crab cake was just ok and the slaw beneath it was drenched in a vinaigrette that was just sour and unpleasant. And the Mac and cheese, as we were very hopeful and looking forward to, was probably the blandest Mac and cheese we ever had. We asked the lady bartender for salt and she handed us, no exaggeration (and you guys will probably think I am) a salt shaker with 10 grains of salt in it and said "looks like there's a lil something you could still get out of there" My jaw dropped. But yeah. The shredded meat on top of the Mac and cheese was cooked beyond the point of edible. That one was unfortunately sent back bc we just couldn't eat it. We were bummed over all mostly about the food.

The Italian sandwich was just okey, the bread was not quite a right type for it. Just chewy outside and abit blanch of the filling. The meatballs sandwich is quite delightful, good amount of sauce and big meatball and go nicely with the sandwich. The mala lamb wasn't very mala even with the mala honey but it was very yummy. The lamb was ground and soft so it didn't really have a bite to it and there was some kind of white sauce at the bottom of the pizza which wasn't cream but almost like the white sauce in Mediterranean lamb platters. The cod roe pasta didn't have very strong crab flavor but it was super creamy with the cheese on top and the flavors were light and delicate. My only complaint was the smaller portion. Highly recommend trying the duck ragu! It had hints of sweetness and a nice flavor of duck if you like duck. All the dishes were also around 20-25 dollars which is extremely well priced especially the pizza. Service and ambiance is also always top tier here.
