I stopped by Galleria recently and had their chicken sandwich with peppers and mozzarella. I'll be honest...I'm not really a peppers kind of guy, so I took those off pretty quickly. But once I did... oh my God, the sandwich was actually really good. It wasn't the most flavorful sandwich I've ever had, but it was definitely filling and easily covered my protein needs for the day. The restaurant itself is very tidy and neat. The vibe is interesting. It feels like a pizzeria, but at the same time it has a bit of an Olive Garden-style atmosphere. It gives off the impression of being a small, family-run place, which I personally liked. Service was prompt and pleasant, and the waitstaff were very nice and welcoming. Galleria in Merrick has street parking available, which wasn't too bad since we went later in the evening and there weren't many cars on the road. When you walk inside, there's a pizzeria section up front and then a separate dining area in the back where you can sit down and be served. It feels more like a restaurant in that section, with waiters assisting the tables. The service was definitely a highlight of the visit. The staff were all great, and we were helped by Joey, who was very nice and very accommodating throughout the meal. The first thing brought to the table was the bread, which was similar to garlic bread. It had a good amount of garlic and salt and was honestly one of the most flavorful things we had that night. For our meals, I ordered the Caesar salad and the vodka slider, which is basically a large garlic knot filled with vodka sauce, Mike's Hot Honey chicken, and mozzarella cheese. My daughter ordered the kids' baked ziti, and my man ordered the grilled chicken hero with balsamic vinegar and peppers. While everything was good, the overall flavor was a bit more subtle than expected. The vodka slider sounded amazing on paper and looked great online, but it didn't quite have the "wow" factor I was expecting. It was good, just not very heavily seasoned. My daughter enjoyed the baked ziti because it had a lot of cheese, but it also could have used a little more salt. The chicken hero with balsamic and peppers was decent as well solid, but nothing that really stood out flavor-wise. Overall, I wouldn't say I wouldn't go back. I ordered online and when I went to pick it up, it was ready on time. I got a Chicken Parmesan platter with a side Cesar salad. The salad was good, a bit small, but good. The Chicken Parmesan was better than average. I have recently tried several local places and was greatly disappointed! (Frankie's and La Piazza). 5/14/26 - We planted our garden today, and in no way were we cooking. Nor did I want to clean anything up, so we went a few blocks away on a Friday night. It was packed. The owner, Ciro, who took over when his dad died, has done a great job with the place. Changing the dining room table layout made the ambiance even nicer than before. And they just got brand new pizza ovens. Each of the 3 waiters, including our main one, PJ, worked perfectly in tandem. They'll make anything for you, even if it's not on the menu, which is reason enough to go. They now offer a choice of salads included with most entrees. Hubby got the garden salad, and I got the Caesar salad. Both so good. I could have gone home satisfied with just that. But no. I got rigatoni with sausage and rapini. I had 3 delicious bites before I couldn't eat anymore. Husband got a Fettuccine dish with a side of meatballs. I honestly like my meatballs dry and these were moist. I'm weird that way and it wasn't my meal so no harm, no foul. When we left, the line was almost out the door for counter service and all tables were filled. That should tell you a lot. Galleria is perfect for a casual weekday lunch which is exactly what we had here. Upon entering it's a typical pizzeria. There is a separate section for table service. It was a bit awkward because we weren't greeted or directed to sit anywhere in particular so we just seated ourselves. After a minute or two, a waiter came over and gave us menus. We decided on the Chicken Delizioso hero and the Vodka chicken slider which is served on a giant garlic knot. The food came out fairly quickly. It was pretty decent. We also ordered a margarita slice to split and I have to say that was quite delicious. They have a vast variety of slices to choose from both round and Sicilian. I do recommend! read more

Cheesesteak- I know it's considered a Philly but I'm petitioning to change it to Ciro's Cheesesteak LOL it's just too good to be compared to Philly. That luscious steak, cheese with the seeded bread!!! I couldn't get enough. Tortellini Alfredo- Absolutely bussin', more understated than the rest but the real know that if the flavor is right, it don't need all the bells and whistles. Very clean restaurant with an old school pizzeria vibe when you walk in, with the booths on the side, but no menu over the oven. Paper menus are given & orders are taken at the front whether you are dinning in the restaurant area or not. The food was brought out to up nice & hot, the burrata pepperoni slice was delicious. I have had the chicken parm roll, Philly cheese steak pinwheel, chicken pinwheel, penne alla vodka, vodka slice, pepperoni and hot honey slice. The pinwheels are soft and the filling is tender when you bite into them. The best I have had. The chicken parm roll has fresh grated Parmesano cheese. The slices have a thicker crust but they do also have the classic thin crust New York slice. The burrata the out in the silician type slices are absolutely delicious read more

I went to Galeria Ristorante in Merrick after seeing a TikTok video featuring their garlic knot sliders with chicken cutlets in vodka sauce. I was genuinely excited, expecting hot, fresh, made-to-order sliders like in the video. When I got there, the sliders were pre-prepared and then reheated, and unfortunately, they weren't even heated all the way through. The chicken cutlet lacked crispiness, and the vodka sauce, which could have been a standout, was totally overpowered by an excessive amount of hot honey. The balance of flavors was completely off, and for $11, the sizes weren't consistent either. Honestly, if these were made to order hot, crispy, with a balanced sauce to honey ratio, they could easily be a 10/10. Instead, they tasted pre-made and disappointing. I'm giving it a 5/10. I didn't order additional red or any other sauce and I didn't order anything else. The spaghetti was dry. Had no sauce on it at all very disappointed. I went up back up to The Galleria & spoke about the the $3 dollar extra up charge on a meal which is ridiculous (it's never happened to me in any restaurant). I've never had been charged $3 dollars for the sauce that they're using to put on your dish. They didn't even notify me that they were going to charge me extra $3 till after I paid the bill. Deceptive 100%. I'd never gotten notified. I just paid for it and then realized after I got the receipt that something was very wrong . It also did not taste like Chicken Marsala but tasted like Hungarian goulash close to what my mom made years ago. I didn't order red sauce. It's a rip off and I called him on it and he gave me back my $3 dollars. Be careful because they're probably doing this to a lot of people if you order chicken marsala or anything with red sauce and there's marsala sauce in it that should not be an up charge so very disappointed and I'm not really sure if I'm gonna go back there anymore and order food. So for that meal was $29.33 with nothing extra on takeout, Unbelievable!! They probably are charging extra for red sauce. If you ask for red sauce, which should come with the dish, Also if you order pizza Sicilian or regular the pizza has been burnt crust and bottom if you like it that way then you are good, if not ask for it less well done. As for as the upchsrhe for sauce which is what you ordered your dish for, I've never had a restaurant do that and that's gonna be in the back of my mind from now on I won't go there. read more
