I owe Taglio an apology. Maybe I had a bad day or maybe I had heard such good things that my expectations were way too high the first time. My friend wanted to try so we stopped in, I got the NY Style round and a Roman Styler Diavola (Hot Soppressata, Cherry Peppers, Mikes Hot Honey, Burrata). I wasn't expecting much, but was blown away. The Traditional NY Style was a 10 out of 10 - Crispy crust that still had some chew to it, flavorful sauce but not artificially sweet, savory Mozzarella, salty romano cheese and topped with fresh basil leaves. Delicious and the best I have had on Long Island. The Diavola Slice was also impressive. The flavor punch of the Cherry Peppers, Soppressata coupled with the sweetness of the hot honey were a perfect match for the fluffy roman crust. I definitely think the toppings matter with the roman style crust, if it too delicate then the crust overpowers the slice. Not with this, the Diavola gets a 9 out of 10 for a specialty slice. I've heard many good things about Taglio from fellow yelpers, so being that I was in the area I had to stop and get some pizza. The place remains popular as it was quite busy for a weekday evening when I went in. Despite that, I ordered immediately, they move very quickly and the service was good + fast! According to one of the staff members, they're known for their buffalo chicken and bbq chicken slices. I ordered buffalo chicken, the Serra, and a regular pepperoni. The pepperoni was my favorite. The buffalo chicken slice was fairly decent considering I don't care for other buffalo chicken slices. It appeared to be popcorn chicken tossed in buffalo sauce and with a light drizzle of blue cheese dressing on top, so hard to mess up. Additionally the Serra was fine as well, possibly needing a boost in the flavors (or salt) since it was just sauce. It seems like a decent, casual place to sit in and grab a quick bite, they had some cocktails on the menu that looked interesting and I'll keep in mind for next time. I just re-read my review of Taglio Mineola. I remember I loved the pizza, it was very authentic. Taglio opened a new location so I left my job in Brooklyn to come to Massapequa Long Island for lunch. In 2026? Choose a side because we're in the middle of Long Island pizza wars! From the crust to the sauce, Rob Cervoni has the process down and rolled out his second location in Massapequa (These guys always have me traveling, I live on the damn north shore!) We could talk about Rob's accolades but in all honesty? All I want is good pizza. After the other day when I stopped by for lunch? My ranking order has changed, Taglio is now my #1 pick for 2026 on Long Island. The Massapequa spot is larger than Mineola, there's public parking in the back. Once inside, it's like Mammas Too in NYC with the crazy pizza toppings / flavor choices. A purest will say hot honey doesn't belong on pizza. Guess what? It's my money and my choice so add more honey and take my money! I told my brother in law about the new location, it was his first time trying Taglio and he flipped over the pizza. Taglio looks like a typical Long Island pizza spot that we all know and love. After tasting the pizza, from the New York thin crust, the cheese and sauce? This pizza is ready for battle. I ordered a pizza on DoorDash for pick-up. Heard a lot about Taglio, but it's a little out of the way of my usual routes. I was a little bit confused about the layout of the store from outside, but realized once I got in that one side is more dedicated as a bar hangout and the other side is set up as a slice shop. (Didn't help there was some construction/work being done by one of the entrances and then a patron decided to block the doorway with her chair by the slice shop entrance). My pizza wasn't quite ready yet, so my family sat and waited in the slice shop area. All the workers were busy, but they were kind enough to let us know about the status of the pizza and to alert us when it was finally ready. We perused the menu and the alcoholic slushies and all of the drink options seemed so fun-- we are going to try them by dining in some point in the future. I got half pepperoni and half Margherita which are not my top choices but I had to pick less fun options for the crowd. We did get it Roman style rectangular pizza, which looks so impressive as a pie of eight slices. The dough was really fluffy. There wasn't much of a crust, so I couldn't tell if it was good on its own. But as a whole, it's a different style than what other places around here serve, and it was good. Taglio in Massapequa park is a small spot right outside of the train station and makes a damm good pie. Food is delicious and you can tell they not cutting corners. No bleach or bromide in the dough which I definitely appreciate. Crust had great flavor, nice and crispy and the sauce was great. I had the buffalo chicken slice and the hot honey slice as well. Chicken was cooked perfectly and was put together very well. Only reason this isn't 5 stars is the kids drinks. They are ridiculously overpriced. Ten bucks for a small slushie is crazy. I spent more on 2 slushies and 2 soda cups for the kids than I did on the actual pizza. Still, the pizza itself is worth it and I will be back. Just maybe skip the drinks next time. read more

I used to live in the area and now I live in Las Vegas and I was here visiting family and this was on my to-do list. I even took an Uber to get there because no one wanted to go with me that day. The food is great all of the workers are very nice behind the counter. The Owner Rob was there that day and I often watch his videos on Instagram so he came over to say hello and I took a picture with him and he is very nice and the food was fresh and very good. I was skeptical because I haven't found anything close to Roman pizza here. Well now I have! You walk in and they have a ton of different options, some authentic and some their own spin on it. I purposely picked what I have had in Rome , and settled on a funghi and mortadella e pistacchio piece. The second I took a bite I knew this was different. It was light and airy and crispy , exactly as it should be. The ingredients are clearly fresh and high quality. I found the guys behind the counter to be extremely helpful and nice . There are so many great places to eat in Massapequa Park near the train tracks. Taglio's is one of the best! My son's friend recommended it and then we found out it's highly rated as the best pizza in the U.S. I had a pepperoni slice and you can taste the difference fresh ingredients make! It was flavorful and delicious with the perfect crust. The kids said the BBQ chicken slice beats any of our local places for flavor and freshness. It was moderately crowded on a Saturday night but we found a table and got our food very quickly. The music and decor gives this pizza place a unique vibe - great place to grab a slice before or after drinks at one of the local area bars. I really love Taglio & the crew/staff who always make my experience positive. In the warmer months, I typically come for a slice at least once a week because their location is in perfect view of the train station, which my 18 month old son loves to look at. A few months ago, my son wasn't eating pizza yet, and Rob always gives my son a little bread if he wants which is super nice. Let's talk about the pizza and vibe now. I really love the upbeat music, the artwork on the walls is super creative and the restaurant is clean. Their fountain drinks are self serve, and there are high chairs if you need. I discovered this place on TikTok and was pleasantly surprised to learn it was only a few minutes from my home in Massapequa. As soon as I walked in, the staff greeted me right away and let me know I could seat myself either inside or outside. They also have a separate side entrance if you're just heading to the bar. The interior has a really cool vibe, with artwork on the walls inspired by Roman and Greek gods, and TVs throughout so you can catch the game while you eat. All the different pizza varieties are displayed in a glass case, making it easy to see your options before they pop your slice back in the oven. The pizza was phenomenal. It is packed with flavor and the perfect amount of crunch. I'll definitely be bringing friends and family here whenever I have visitors in town. Taglio Pizza location popped into one of my foodie feeds with great news that they rated #3 nationwide in 2025. So I couldn't miss an opportunity to see what the successful buzz really yielded. Not to mention living in Nassau county LI, why I hadn't heard of them before. This isn't the first time either according to article I read that they were getting rated high nationwide. That said went in with no information other than their stellar ranking. Walked in via back door since we parked in back open municipal lot to a narrow hallway with few small tables that exploded onto a very large clean, covered glass counter with all their offerings. I came to find that the majority of there slices were square/rectangle in shape. So not your traditional NY triangle wedged slice. A bit thrown off and being on a time crunch I couldn't simply decide on one of their specialty looking slices...there were at least 10 different fresh kinds. So for the sake of getting a feel for their red sauce and crust, my Mr and I just ordered up 1 plain Cheese Slice and 1 Pepperoni Slice $10 (cash price). Note the slices went into oven for less than 5 minutes and came out pipping HOT!! So watch out on that first bite. My husband and I thought, alright a decent slice, not the best or worse had here in NY. I figure, I really need to go back and pick one of their Square designer slices to probably get the real award winning feel of this location. After the pop in last night I decided to research a bit on a Roman slice, and found out the name of location now makes sense, along with what the majority of slices looked like ;) A Roman-styled pizza was defined as "pizza al taglio", and this a type of pizza that originated in Rome. It is characterized by a rectangular or square shape with a thin crust . The dough is typically made with higher hydration and allowed to ferment for an extended period, resulting in a light, airy, and crisp crust. But surprisingly, the outstanding Parm Plates at Taglo's have caused me to rethink things. Because the MVP Parmigiana Plate, made with fried chicken cutlets, topped with fresh mozzarella and then striped with a trio of tomato, pesto, and vodka sauces is admittedly better than any parmigiana I've eaten at any Italian restaurant. Even though it's served in a plastic takeout container! A TOTALLY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE Unfortunately, some individuals have been eating crappy Long Island pizza for so long, they actually prefer it. And because of this, it can be somewhat of a shock when they walk into Taglio's, with the busy & exciting music-pumping-neon-menu-vibe, in addition to the large number of different pizza and hero choices. And yes, five or six dollars for a slice of pizza is somewhat expensive. So these confused customers, wanting a cheap plain greasy slice may unffortunately not feel comfortable here. 10-2-25. My first time visiting this location. I've been to the Mineola location quite a few times and thought it was better. But I've always gone during peak lunchtime or dinner hours. Tonight, I came to the Massapequa location at a little after 8 p.m. Ordered a white ricotta slice, regular slice, hot honey pepperoni slice and a mortadella slice. They were all pretty good but they didn't taste as fabulous as they did during the peak hours. I'll have to give them another try a little earlier next time. They have a few booths and about 6 tables to sit and dine at if you do choose. Staff is friendly. Prices are a little expensive but they do offer a selection that is more unique than the average Long Island pizza joint. Music was a bit too loud in my opinion. It felt like I was in a nightclub until one of the workers put the Yankees vs. Red Sox playoff game on. Anyway ..... 3.5 stars for tonight's visit. Very excited to see Taglio open a second location! This placed is mobbed for good reason, the roman pizza is insane! There's a ton of parking here which makes it easy to get there. I love the new ordering system for full pies - just find the screen under the carousel screen menu (which we used) it was super efficient! The design in here so dope! i love the visual of the roman gods on the wall. The crust alone deserves a trophy we got the roman half queen and half hot honey pepperoni sausage and it was out of this world. The sauce is so unique and delicious! It's definitely hustling and bustling in Taglio Massapequa Park. They're getting a lot of recognition and hype rn and well deserved. I don't know if it's because it's being pumped out so fast I felt like when I had tried their pizza at the mineola location when it first opened to me it tasted better but I still loved everything I tried. Rob has created an awesome environment here at this new location and with addition of Dario I can't wait to see what they'll do. I feel like maybe I want to go back during a weekday lunch to see if when it's not as crowded maybe I'll have a better experience. Regardless it was nice to see both owners chatting with customers and being present in their store and not feeling that gross feeling when we finished thanks to Rob's bromate free dough . I finally found a pizza place that is comparable to Taglio's Mineola! As I've said previously, having never had a "go-to" pizza place (I know, it's rare for a lifelong New Yorker), but Taglio has changed that. The Roman-style slices are downright decadent and indulgent. You cannot indulge in them too often. But when you're ready, get the heck over here. The selections are all good; it's like a parent choosing among their children, which to spend time with. But there are two that are the best to me: barbecue chicken and the burrata with fresh basil and ham. Admittedly, the sauce they bathe this chicken in is so sweet; it might even hurt your teeth. But goodness gracious that flavor is a jolt of dynamite to your mouth. The burrata? It's like nothing you have ever tasted. The dough/crust is airy and cratered, like the best fresh Italian bread. They layer on that salty, sweet ham, basil, both leaves and a puree and globs of soft, creamy fresh mozzarella. And if the guys don't drizzle some of that flavorful oil on top, then you go back and insist that they do. What a taste experience. Believe me, when you're done, I know you will have eaten a lot, and a lot of calories. But trust in that you won't care to eat again for a long while, because nothing will match these cravables. Coming into Taglio, one can expect good quality ingredients that you can taste and see. If you're into Roman style pizza, they have a pretty good one, but I was more impressed with the Neapolitan Margherita slice. Not only was the first few bites nice and crispy, but the crust was pillowy, and the sesame seeds on the crust added a nice nuttiness as you worked through the last few bites. Their sauce is on the tangier side if that's your thing, but the dough itself was really tender and perfectly crispy. Although I got a good slice, I did notice that some of their Neapolitan pies were a bit charred so I imagine that wouldn't be as tasty reheated before service. The Roman slices are nice and the toppings are always on abundance. With the Roman style slices, one can look forward to a crispy bottom with a tender center. The sides though can get a bit chewy, which I don't mind; I'm just not a huge Roman style or Sicilian fan. Price wise, the pizza is on the pricier side which makes it hard for me to want to return, especially when there are other pizzerias around whom are just as good (if not better) an slightly less expensive. I've been to the Mineola location before but favor this location since it is is easier to park here since there is a large municipal lot in the back and a back entrance to the store. Taglio specializes in Roman style pizza where the crust unique. It is rectangular in shape and is heartier, lighter and crispier than a Neapolitan crust. My favorites are the Buratta and Mortadella Pistachio. The Buratta pie is creamy and topped with a Balsamic drizzle which adds a nice sweetness to balance the salt. Mortadella on top of pizza is quite uncommon but works especially with the nutty pistachio. They also offer their combinations on Neapolitan style crust and in sandwich form. They were just added to the Foodie Card program which will definitely come in handy for many future visits to come. read more

Absolutely love this place, The pizza is crispy and always delicious, I haven't tried them all yet but so far spot on. A definite must try.

Stopped to give them a try and I must say I have had much better tasting pizza in the local area. Service was very fast to warm up the pizza and the young man was very nice. I set outside because it was a great day so I really didn't notice the inside. My understanding is they're taking over the store next to them for more room. The owner puts a great show on, but the pizza is just ok. read more
