First and foremost I've been reading the reviews and what is so consistent are the complaints about the portions and prices which is what I'm going to address exactly. First of all, I come in with a clipp coupon which is an incredible thing I highly suggest for everybody to look into the deals are incredible and the whole idea is to bring in brand-new customers which is what I was, this was my first time there a couple of weeks ago. I was really excited to try out this place, but yes, as many of the reviews say it's just a Pizzeria with some tables thrown inside. So it's not a fine dining restaurant by any chance but boy I can tell you from looking at the size of the menu and the outrageous prices you would have thought it was a five star restaurant!!! Seriously, many of the appetisers are in the $30 range, which is ridiculous- So when I walked in to pay the server who I assume is a waitress, maybe more, was named Maria and I see that she's been mentioned many times in the reviews so she's probably a regular there--- she seemed visibly disappointed and annoyed when I told her I have a clipp Certificate, to let people know who are not familiar. It's extremely similar to Groupon but much much better and much cheaper -- again the idea is to bring a new people although you can use it every time you go there which I have been told by people in the advertising business that the business owners actually hate this sort of thing because they actually lose money they're just taking a chance on bringing a new customers and introducing them to the business which could be beneficial in a long run So that was a turn off. Then I was told that I most likely wouldn't be able to use it because it's for Dine in only , however the one good thing is that somebody who apparently was the owner came over and told her basically to knock it off and stop worrying about that stuff and he said not a problem this time so I can say he was extremely nice and pleasant to speak with And that was nice of him to do that for me that one time if I do go back there at least I know moving forward that it's for dine in only and not takeaway- But the primary complaint here is I couldn't believe that my Dish was $37 and I was excited to try it out only to open it and find SEVEN Shrimp !!!! I mean they gotta be kidding me!! this dish is the shrimp or Renata of course you can see the thing that cost nothing which is pasta was packed to the brim.... Extremely disappointing, I was also purveying the pizzas and asking the prices and the prices were also a little bit ridiculous for a slice ... stuff look pretty good and the food tasted good but you gotta be kidding me for almost $40. I only got seven shrimp????? This is just another one of those restaurants that get over on the people... sad . read more

Riella's was one of my always go to restaurants when I lived in Levittown, so, when I was back in the area last week, my first thought was to go Riella's for dinner! This restaurant will never disappoint! From the service to the food, over the top every time! My dinner that night was Filet of Sole Francaise. Anything in addition is a la carte (but yeah, it's not a diner) so my dish came with vegetable and it was enough! The complimentary Brushetta is delicious as well as the rolls with marinara sauce you are served while waiting for dinner! My Filet of Sole Francaise was a perfect blend of everything, and I finished my meal off with their outrageously delicious homemade Tiramisu, topped with cannoli cream ! It was great to return to one of my favorite restaurants, "favorite" for a reason! Stop there if you're in the area, it will become your favorite too! read more

We ordered for our 35th wedding anniversary. Brought the dinner home there was a meal missing called back. The young man said it was our fault the owner was rude . Meat sauce with spaghetti was good. My biggest complaint is that their website menu is not in sync with their onsite menu. For example, Scallops Oreganata on the website for an individual is $29.75. However, the individual cost in the restaurant is $49.50. That's a $20 difference. Also, the meat sauce with spaghetti had a discrepancy of about $10. Very misleading or deceiving. Someone needs to update the website so that customers don't get sticker shock at this pizzeria. There is no "dining room" either. read more

Tried someplace new last night and really enjoyed it!! A new ( to us) hidden gem! Riella's in Levittown. It looks to be a local pizza place in a small strip mall.I had driven past several times and decided to give it a try. We walked in and were greeted by the owner and a hostess who were very friendly and taken to a table ( we did make a reservation). Drinks were ordered and fresh bread (more like knots ) were brought to the table with a dish of house marinara. We were also offered olive oil. One "dunk" of the bread into the sauce and we knew we were in for a treat!! For appys we shared the mussels special. It was a white wine sauce which include hot sausage, some jalapeño and was plentiful with mussels. It was delicious!! My wife found it a little spicy-I thought it was right. We also shared a wedge salad which was very good and clearly large enough to share. The main courses were the real home run!!! My wife, had the "Downtown Seafood Marinara"Which included all sorts of shellfish, calamari etc in the house marinara and I had the bone in pounded veal chop - I did ask for some modifications on the way the menu listed it - incredibly accommodating!! We also had some veggies. We went home with plenty of leftovers!! We will definitely be back!!! Thank you Vito and staff for an excellent dinner and evening!! Was there last week as we were up from Florida. I lived across the street in Wantagh for seven years and never went. Place is quite popular but I wouldn't go back if I lived there. Thought Elisa's down the road was better. They serve family style which means the standard order feeds more than one and for that maybe the price is acceptable but if you want an individual order it's about 70% of the family style order. I ordered the veal and eggplant which wife and I shared. Doesn't come with any sides which makes no sense as if you get the single order it comes with a pasta. If you order the family order the pasta is about $7 so for a $1 box of pasta that's no doubt already cooked you pay about 700% more. Actually a side of pasta was listed at $17 but the sever said he'd charge only $7. There are better Italian restaurants in the area and less expensive as well. read more

We have been going to Riellas, both for take out and eat in, since they opened and should have written a review long ago. In all that time, they have always been our go-to Italian restaurant. The food is amazing and of very high quality, and they serve a few things you won't find on most Italian menus (i.e. Chicken a la Nonna - fantastic!). Large selection of specialty pies. Almost all the servers have been with them since opening day, which tells you a lot about both the servers and the management. They treat everyone, both new customers and regulars, like family. We are ordering take out tonight and looking forward to our annual Christmas Eve reservations for an intimate yet festive celebration. read more

Expensive! Almost 30$ for 2 pieces of chicken and a side of pasta (I got the Marsala) sauce was good tho. Pasta was too al dente. Also got the carbonara it was bland, peas were hard. Calamari tasted fishy. Service was OKAY. Waited a while to order the appetizer also waited a while to pay after they gave us the check. All I saw were the employees on their phones near the bar and back booth. Not worth 92$!! Go to Calda down the road it's cheaper, larger portions, better quality! read more

This restaurant serves pizza on one side with fine dining on the other. Food is freshly prepared and excellent. The owner could not have been more accommodating and helpful. Portions are quite large - we had an ample appetizer for (delicious fried zucchini) and two family size dinners for five and there was enough for seconds and thirds. The chicken rollatini stuffed with spinach was scrumptious and the pasta special with eggplant and buratta was out of this world. the service was warm and inviting. highly recommend - will definitely return. read more

Seriously the place is a little deceiving. It looks like a fancy restaurant from the street amd online in reality it's a pizza parlor with a dining room. I had to walk all the way through the pizza side to get to the "front" of the dining room to see 4 thirty somethings standing around in semi dress. The menu has nothing I would expect in any Italian restaurant. I really saw nothing familiar so I chose something I could comprehend. Service is sketchy at best and the staff seems to rotate who goes out next on the floor. The complimentary appetizers were bruzetta on Italian bread slices and the dinner rolls with tomatoe sauce. This was the best part of the meal. Thankfully I visited because of a Groupon and Clipp promotion or elseci you haven't stayed through the dinner. read more

My wife and her two friends ordered the 29.99 specials. What a mistake! Portion sizes were microscopic ! Her entree (a 6.00 up charge for the shrimp) she was served only 4 small shrimp (not medium sized - not large - not jumbo) but 4 small shrimps and some sauce - Nothing else on the plate! It was embarrassing. Her friend ordered Shrimp Parmigiana - the same miniature shrimps - all breading. The Chicken Francaise was an equally small medallion. One dessert - the Tiramisu - also was so small - it was a joke. First impressions are lasting impressions - they will never go back. Might as well put up the 'Store for Rent' signage - as this restaurant is bound to fail - with NO repeat business. Food and service was mediocre at best. read more

Been here many times to dine in especially for celebrations and have ordered take out many times. Hands down recommended! Can't have just one roll...we tried many times but too good! Appetizers to share (family style of course): Fried calamari is delicious (always get this), baked clams, stuffed mushrooms, caesar salad, mozz di vita Try the appetizer specials: stuffed portabello mozzarella was delicious The pizza is delicious - we love ordering pizza for take out or dine in. Variety of choices for pizza... Main dishes (order family style for sharing): Rigatoni ala vodka, linguini with white clam sauce, chicken parm are our staples... then we switch it up to try others. lobster ravioli was good (one size only) Sides: Sauteed spinach, meatballs Save room for dessert: Tartufo and cannoli dip Highly recommend making reservations...there is a small section for ordering pizza and eating there. Riella's has been on my radar for a while now as it was the next Italian place on my bookmarks I wanted to try. Finally got an opportunity a few weeks ago to grab lunch on a Sunday with a few friends. The set up of the place seems pretty standard; one side is a pizza joint and the other side has table service for people that want to eat in. Our server was a friendly guy and he seemed like he made a good effort to answer our questions and make us comfortable so I appreciated that. We ate in and I ordered the chicken parmesan ($19). For entrees here there is an option for getting it either as a family style or individual portion. So when you look at the menu, the more expensive price listed is for the family style portion. I ended up getting the individual and it comes with pasta on the side. I was looking forward to seeing how it stacked up against Vincent's Clam Bar. My chicken parmesan was really solid overall. It was a lot of food, and the chicken was nicely slathered in sauce and cheese. Yum. The pasta was alright and nothing too special. Overall it didn't come close to Vincent's Clam Bar but it was definitely good on its own right. I think it's a bit overpriced at $19 though. I usually just comment on my own food when I review places but I had to point attention to my friend's dish. He got a shrimp / pasta dish and I had to laugh at him when it came out because he is so good at ordering the wrong thing at restaurants and getting tiny portion sizes. He didn't get much shrimp at all and the pasta portion wasn't that big either. I think his dish was more expensive than mine so I was like damn, that is pretty rip-off status. All in all I had a pretty solid experience with some tasty chicken parmesan but I gotta factor in my friend's sad pasta dish to the equation. I guess if anything it'd be wise to ask how much food comes in your order. I'm a cheap person so I tend to dock points when it comes to higher prices and less than expected quality and / or quantity of food. Been here a few times and the food is very good. Love the meatballs. That's why the 2 stars, because the food is good. But I can't afford to eat here. It's ridiculously expensive. I know prices are going up but they haven't updated their online menu so I got suckered in. I order of Rigatoni Filetto Di Pomodoro, a side of broccoli rabe, 3 meatballs and 3 sausages was $71. I was so taken back when I got the food home and looked into it that I called them on the phone because this had to be a mistake. They must have charged me for a half tray of the rigatoni, right? Nope. No mistake. The pasta $25. The 3 meatballs $13. The 3 sausages $13 and the side of broccoli rabe $15 and that's a vegetable! Yes the food was good. All of it was tasty but who can afford to eat here at those prices? I've eaten and gotten take out from here plenty of times but can't go back now because of the high jack up of the prices. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left we were treated like family. Our waiter Francisco was an absolute gem. A true professional, so much so that after covid when he returned to his home country the owner begged him to come back because he was missed so badly. They started with a complimentary bruchetta for 2 with a bowl of piping hot homemade marinara sauce to dip your freshly baked knots (oh my ) into. Next up came our wines a perfect pour for $11. Entrees arrived immediately and were outstanding. My beautiful wife thoroughly enjoyed her Shrimp Gabriel which were plump and tender with a slight touch of lemon in a tomato sauce. I had the veal with a paper thin sheet of fresh part skim muddz covered with red and green cherry peppers in a light olive oil lemon sauce which was incredible as well. After our table was cleared we were offered cappuccino or dessert which we declined because honestly there was no where to put it after that awesome meal so Francisco said "how about an after dinner drink on me perhaps a Sambora, a limoncello, an amaretto"? We caved and split the amaretto on the rocks and our meal was complete. The atmosphere is romantic and the prices were reasonable. Every person we encountered were kind and friendly so we highly recommend you give this gem a look sometime soon. read more

Visited last night after reading some positive reviews and I was looking forward to liking it. Well being an Italian it's hard to find good Italian food. This was not good. Mostly a pizza place with some tables thrown in. Three little cold rolls were placed on the table with a soup Bowl of sauce. Did I order tomato soup? It was a big bowl for three small rolls. How does three rolls divide into two people anyway? Four would have been right. Some butter? Warm them? A true test of an Italian restaurant is the sauce. Well this wasn't good. Arancini (rice balls) were yellow inside and scattered with green specks and Peas with ground beef. Accompanied by another bowl of tomato soup. They were bland Chicken scarparello was all sautéed with pre cooked sausage and potatoes that were baked or boiled ahead of time and cut up to add to sauté pan. Scarparello is usually roasted with garlic and is savory. This was no where near that. This was lemony watery broth and just thrown into a pan to be reheated. Family portion couldn't feed two fully. Shrimp with broccoli rabe was the same way. Boiled ahead shrimp and stems of rabe chopped up. Stems are chewy and hard. Dish also was bland and very small portion. Waiter was new. Didn't even ask if we wanted dessert or coffee. At least the bus boy was good. All in all $92 wasted. Disappointed and surprised this gets good reviews but it may be the clientele don't know better or what Italian good authentic food is. Disappointing. read more

I was so excited to get pizza. I hit check-in before I got out of the car. What I found was Riella's was closed ! i can however review from my several times i was there . I have only done takeout . There is a spacious room for eat in with table service . The feel is casual and welcoming , like a favorite neighborhood haunt ! The same women is always behind the counter and she is friendly and efficient . There is a huge variety of pizza . My favorite slice on the go is plain or marinara . They arrive piping hot ( the way i like all my food) I would venture to say they use high quality products. The pizza is a perfect balance of sauce to cheese. The crust is thin and crispy . Inconsistent. Loved their cheese mini pizza (10") the first time I ordered from them. The crust was absolutely delicious - had a great chew while still being slightly crispy. It was a solid regular slice and $9 for the mini pie wasn't bad. The chicken parm hero we ordered was a little light on sauce, the chicken was a little thin and the breading was loose, but still not bad - we gobbled it up. That crust left such an impression that I craved it, so we ordered from Riella's again. This second time, the pie seemed smaller, the crust was extra crispy (fried almost), but not as chewy, and the pizza itself was not as good - less flavor and the cheese layer just fell off the pizza. One side of the pizza was mainly crust - the toppings were inconsistently spread (see photo). I was so sad I didn't get that same delicious pizza from the first time. The meatball parm hero was also disappointing. The meatballs were a good size, and soft and moist, but unfortunately flavorless. There was barely any sauce on it so it made it feel like there was too much cheese (but you can't have too much cheese especially since you're paying an extra $1.75 for that cheese, to make the meatball hero a meatball parm hero). I didn't want to finish it and gave it to the hubby. I also ordered their Nonna's Stuffed Garlic Knot (basically a giant garlic knot stuffed with chicken parm), but the hubby was told they were out of it when he got there to pick up the order. I had contemplated trying their whole wheat thin crust mini pizza ($11 for 12"), but really wanted the crust from last time, or a mini version of one of their speciality pies, maybe the margherita ($15), but wasn't sure that mozz and basil was worth an additional $6. Their pastas are pretty pricey and reviews seem mixed so skipped those too. Not sure if I would return since I can't be sure if I will ever get that delicious crust again. read more

We were visiting from Cali, but we are born and raised Long Islanders. A friend recommended Riella's as it was my birthday and we were craving very good Italian food. OMG! Everything from the complimentary bruccetta and homemade bread, to the delicious Clams Casino! I had rigatoni with broccoli rabb, shrimp in white wine sauce, my son had lobster ravioli, my husband had Sorrento chicken, a special, and all was delicious! Will be back! read more

Visit Date: December 18, 2015 If my nutritionist goes on yelp she's going to kill me, but I can't miss up the chance to enjoy a new restaurant and eat the tasty food that's not really good for me. I came to Riella's to meet my friend Michelle it was her suggestion. When I walked in Michelle wasn't there yet but they knew her at the restaurant and they cleared the table meant for us immediately. As I was waiting they bought over bruschetta and wonderful pieces of bread that I wanted to tear into but made myself wait to eat until Michelle arrived. Once she arrived I got to eat the bruschetta and the bread and it was tasty. The bread was fresh & delicous and the tomato sauce they served for dipping complemented the bread much better than the olive oil that was on the table. The bruschetta was divine, fresh tomatoes, crispy bread slices and a perfectly tangy balsamic vinegar. For my entree I had eggplant rollatini. They did a great job with it, lots of cheese and sauce which I absolutely love, perfect spices, soft slices of rolled eggplant with a complimentary filling of ricotta cheese and spices. So delicious. For dessert we split we split a piece of tiramisu which was a delicious ending to a great meal. They top the tiramisu with cannoli cream which is the perfect consistency. The staff was very accommodating and very friendly, always checking up on us throughout the meal. The manager was interested in what Michelle had to say. Riella's is perfect if you're in the area you must come here for a meal. read more

I had the most amazing experience here last night! Literally one of the best I've had in a long time. As I sit here eating my awesome left-overs I will jot down my review: My mom, sister, and I decided to stop in here for dinner after my last summer final exam. Lorenzo, the host, sat us quickly and had a huge smile on his face. Soon our waiter brought over some delicious bruschetta and a bread basket for us. The table had olive oil, which is a BIG yes for me! Any decent Italian joint has this readily available, so I was happy. The three of us asked for Diet Coke's so they brought over a pitcher for us; brownie points! My mom ordered the hot salad they had on the menu and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was indecisive about what I wanted to order, the chicken parm or the tropical chicken special, so I let the waiter decide for me. He brought me the latter and I'm so glad because it was delicious! My sister was also undecided on which of two pastas to order so she asked our waiter to surprise her. He ended up bringing her a plate of each! What a surprise! Lorenzo came over for a bit and we chatted as well, he's such a friendly guy! We had such a wonderful time and the staff is great. I will be back so soon! read more

What can I say... terrible... awful... disgusting... pizza. The sauce tasted like canned sauce and the crust was tasteless. Nothing good about the chicken parm sandwich my son got. He said it fell flat and with no taste. He never adds salt and pepper to his food... he kept trying and gave up. EXPENSIVE and not good. Waste of MONEY and time. Update. Someone just told me from Riella's that I must be mistaken with my negative review!! NOPE!! NOPE!! and NOPE!! Expensive and awful. Period. read more
