The Burrata cheese was so hard inside
    Sam S.

After seeing all the hype on social media, we decided to visit Italiano to try their famous bread-bowl pastas. When we walked in, it felt more like a busy pizzeria with a dining area than the trendy spot we were expecting. The place was packed, and we ended up waiting about 30 minutes for a table. Once seated, we noticed right away that the menu didn't match what we had seen online. In the videos, every pasta dish came with burrata, but here it was an extra charge. The bread bowl itself was also a $7 add-on, which pushed the $25 pasta dishes to nearly $40 each -- a price that simply doesn't make sense for what you get. Staff was friendly, but the busboys seemed completely untrained, and service overall was slow. We did receive our minestrone soup quickly, but it was just okay. The soup's kidney beans and chickpeas were noticeably undercooked. When the pasta arrived, the disappointment continued. The burrata, which we paid extra for, was cold and hard rather than creamy. Even the waitress seemed surprised when we pointed it out. We also noticed that the regular pasta dishes (served in normal bowls) were much larger portions than the bread-bowl pastas -- despite the bread bowls costing more. At the end of the meal, the reality became clear: the bread-bowl trend is more gimmick than substance. With two pasta dishes and one soup totaling around $100, the value just isn't there. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. Don't be fooled by what you see on social media -- the experience simply doesn't live up to the hype.

My five friends and i came here tonight (Monday) for dinner an hour before closing. Our waitress was nice, but seemed tired. We ordered a Margherita pizza, and these truffle ravioli appetizer that I forgot the name of. Both were excellent (if you don't like the taste of truffle then its not for you) for our entrées we shared a Caesar salad with chicken, a Greek salad with chicken, baked ziti, the short rib, rigatoni, and a fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and a bread bowl special. Everyone liked everything that we ordered.

I haven't been been here since the name change. It used to be Gino's. I believe they changed their name over the last two years or so. From my memory, the menu looks the same and the inside is the same. Happy I went today with a friend! We both ordered the pasta bread bowls because who doesn't love carbs on top of carbs...and an edible bowl? I had the penne ala vodka. It was very good. Great tasting vodka sauce! My friend had the spaghetti and meatballs. She was given three meatballs. She said it was very good. Both of our bread bowls were packed with pasta! The bowl itself is also quite deep. It did take a while, but that's understandable as the bread bowls are made fresh. Very yummy !

Definitely eat here! We got one slice of pizza with the perfect, no flop crust. The fried mozzarella was hand made and delicious with their vodka sauce for dipping. They are famous for their bread bowls. We got a spaghetti bolognese and a drunken penne both in the perfectly baked bread bowls. Nice and fresh. So amazingly delicious!!!!

Food and staff are great but the cleanliness is questionable; there were flies everywhere in the back seating area so we asked to be seated in the middle. Then when we got our plates - in between a set was a dead fruit fly... It's really sad as their food is good but now I'm wondering if we should return if there are flies around... The almond crusted French toast was amazing - crunchy outside and soft inside while not being too sweet 9/10 Chocolate chip pancakes were good but not one I would get again 8/10 Eggs Benedict 8/10

OMG! We went to try the viral pasta bowls and we were NOT disappointed! These are garlic bread bowls filled to the brim with pasta! We tried the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and fettuccine chicken also vodka with burrata. Next time I'll ask for the burrata on the side when ordering to go. We ordered takeout so I can't talk about sit down service, but the staff on the phone was friendly and they care for your items. Our bowls came deconstructed which is so smart! By the way, parking is more than abundant, so that's always a plus!

I went to Italiano Pie Bar in Bethpage with the family and had mixed feelings about the experience. The food was good, don't get me wrong, but the service was pretty laxed. Though very friendly, It took them a really long time to even take our orders, and then we had to wait a really long time for the apps to come out. Felt more like they were short staffed than anything else. That being said, the apps were worth the wait, wife and I really enjoyed the Short Rib Mac & Cheese. The main courses were hit or miss for me. My chicken vodka hero on garlic bread was just average. My wife enjoyed the pasta & buratta bread bowl she got, and I loved the taste as well. One thing that was pretty annoying was having to get up multiple times to grab silverware, get drinks refilled, or grab napkins. It was like we were invisible sometimes. The atmosphere was lively though, with good music and a nice bar set up. If I'm being honest, I'd probably go back for the food, but maybe just for a to go order next time. That way I can enjoy the food without the hassle. Overall, it's an okay spot, but they need to work on the service. Its a shame becasue the food really is good. Enjoy!!

Our first visit it Italiano Ristorante in Bethpage. I'm glad we came to try it. We were so amazed after seeing the TIk Tok pasta bowls so we decided to take a ride. The bowls were an amazing idea. My husband managed to eat the entire bowl but I could only do 1/2 bowl. It's a carb lover recipe of love. It's definitely delicious to pull a piece of the bowl & dip it into the sauce. I'm glad we came it was worth a trip.

I had the viral pasta bread bowl with short rib. It was good. Service was quick. The place got filled up really quickly. The place looked nice. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal.

On a recommendation from a Colorado local--not from social media, but genuine word of mouth--my husband and I made the trip to Bethpage to try Italiano. It turned out to be absolutely fabulous. The standout? Their bread bowls. Warm, fresh, and perfectly crafted, they're truly to die for. And if you go, do yourself a favor and order the minestrone soup. It's rich, comforting, and pairs perfectly with that incredible bread. A visit well worth the trip.

Kids love the calamari and Mac cheese. Service is good. Place needs a little bit more light on the inside.

It was more of a whole grain pastry than a traditional buttery croissant but because the blueberry filling was so sweet, I was happy for a less decadent pastry. I love that they have a nice array of coffee and matcha drinks too. I'm pretty sure the word has been out for some time now, but when that Starbucks line in the parking lot is just too much, The French Workshop is a better option (however, on a rainy Saturday in May, that line inside was considerable. People know what's good!) There's plenty of seating, too and if you are good at pretending, you almost feel you're in Europe (ignore the suburban strip mall that surrounds you).
