Very very poor experience. Came here and ordered a popcorn chicken and hot chili oil wonton. The server who helped to take the order placed 2 orders of popcorn chicken instead. They insisted that the wonton was the same price and the kitchen knew what it meant. When the food came out, our hot chili oil wonton was a different menu item. When I asked them about it, they said that there's no such hot chili oil wonton item. No refund or anything to make up for the miscommunication, and no apologies. I would seriously ask the management to revisit how they conduct training for employees. Also, it may be wise to change and update the menu if certain items don't exist anymore than to lie to customers. read more

We like i-Tea for their snacks and drinks. My favorite drink used to be the Rose Milk Tea but that's no longer on their menu. I had the Classic Thai Tea today and it was yummy. I usually order all my drinks with 30% sugar. At times, even 30% is too sweet but I've tried 0% sugar and that's not good either. I'd really like at 10% option but oy vey. I usually ask for no ice because it takes me a long time to finish my boba drink and don't like it when it gets watered down when I'm half way done. Their snacks and ramen are good. Oh man I love this spot. My bf was invited to be a keynote speaker at Saint Mary's College. After the presentation we were so hungry. Our friend recommended this spot. And he was so right. We order b5 and y1. The drink was on point. I absolutely love the chicken snacks. Omfg it has the perfect amount of spicy, raw garlic (Omfg!!!) and basil leaves. It isn't salty. The inside of the chicken pieces were moist. I am going to check out for more i-tea in my area and compare with this one. The drinks weren't bad as well. Not super sweet. I was sooo happy to hear that they opened up this i-Tea just five miles from where I live. My stomach and waistline might not approve, especially with the assortment of fried snacks they offer, but whatever. There's plenty of parking in this shopping center and also a lot of seating inside. The full menu is on a bunch of screens to your left when you walk in. It's a little awkwardly placed right behind tables and the print is so tiny that you need to hover kind of close to people who are seated. My go-to order? Y3 seasoned curly fries - 5.50 M2 honey brown rice milk tea - 4.25 (I usually ask to swap out the agar boba for regular boba) The cashiers don't necessarily prompt you to modify your sweetness and ice levels, so be prepared to ask. Don't forget to input your number on the little iPad near the register (in lieu of stamp cards i-Tea participates in FiveStars rewards program). read more

Just opened in the Moraga Shopping Center near McCaulou's. This used to be Asia Palace and the owners have renovated the location so it's now a boba/ramen place! They have a large menu of drink items and food items from which to choose. i-Tea is new to me as I'm used to the standard boba drink places, not ones that serve drinks with pudding in them, so this is unique for me : ) Apparently, it's a pretty popular Taiwanese chain, each location having a different franchise owner. There are a lot of people working behind the counter prepping drinks, and there is a kitchen staff in the back. Menus are displayed near the entrance to the left of the counter and behind the counter. What's really great about the menus is that they are well lit and have a large font and photo, so they are easy to read! (I have friends with low eyesight and a high appetite : ) They have fruit teas and milk teas, plus frozen drinks too! You can add pudding, regular boba, agar boba, sago, jelly, tofuhua, red bean, taro, etc., etc. I tried the Jasmine Milk Tea and added Panna Cotta, Egg Pudding, and Regular Boba. Yum : ) The addition of the pudding was interesting, yet did not deter from the flavor of the milk tea. I will definitely try the fruit tea next time, as a few people seemed to be really enjoying theirs. The consistency of the boba in my milk tea was chewy, yet a bit firm, and not at all mushy! The sugar level was good for 100%, but if you want less sugar, you can customize your drink to 80%, 50%, 30%, or even 0%! The place was packed full of families and students from the local high school and Saint Mary's College, which is just down the road from this location. It's great that there is a huge parking lot in the shopping center, so it's easy to find a spot. Everyone was chowing down on snacks like Popcorn Chicken or ramen like Shoyu Tonkotsu. I was told by a few people who were eating that the ramen was not too spicy, possibly toned down for the Moraga crowd : ) There *is* a condiments counter in the front next to the T.V. in case you want to spice up your meal. It's great that they are open until 10 p.m. since there are no late night places in Moraga to grab a bite to eat or a drink without having to sit down at a restaurant. It's really lively inside, with current pop radio hits playing, a flat screen television playing sports and a bright and clean decor with dandelion-esque lighting and lots of seating, and of course the requisite good luck symbols of bamboo and a Maneki-neko (fortune cat) near the entrance. WINNING in Moraga! This place used to be Asia Palace. You haven't tried BOBA until you've been here. This is an original from Taipei... and it's delicious. My favorite is the Wintermelon Milk Tea w/ boba. You can customize your ice and sugar levels. I get 50/50.... and it's perfect. The short food menu has a lot of choices. The popcorn chicken is quite filling, I wish it were spicier or had a spicier option, BUT it is already delicious with its seasoning. Also, was feeling daring so I just tried their avocado frosty and it is so good! Light and creamy, not too sweet but if you've ever had avocado pops it's about the same. Honestly iTea never lets me down no matter what location. Love the consistency and variety of flavors

Recently went with my family, we had a five drink order and were second in line (literally second since they had just opened). We noticed everyone started getting their drinks before us and at one point we thought we heard our number be called so we walked up. I saw our drinks and so I started to collect them and one of the employees looked visibly upset that we were literally collecting our drinks (had our number on it and everything) that we paid for!! She told us that our drinks weren't ready yet. We asked if she had called our order cause we heard our number and she decided to respond with an attitude, looked over at her coworker like we did something wrong, and said no, that it was for a food order. They proceeded to forget three out of our five drinks and we were there for literally 30 minutes. Everyone else got tended to first. We went up and explained we were second in line and still hadn't received our drinks and the girl at the front again continued to respond with a rude tone and looked annoyed, reluctant to hear us out. At the very end of our exchange, another employee stepped in and finally agreed to give us our refund and we left. I understand things can get hectic as the rush hits that's something y'all can't control but y'all can control your attitudes and the way you treat your customers when you mess up. Instead of acting defensive when customers come up to you with a concern, try and humble yourself a little and maybe apologize or make it right. This is for the young girl working there, I think you've got a long way to go and this is only advice for you moving forward. We go to i-tea whenever we're in the mood for boba or popcorn chicken. Delicious drinks with a lot of variety. Recently discovered the white peach oolong krema drink, and that's super good! I really like the matcha red bean smoothie, the matcha milk tea, and also the classic milk tea or taro milk tea. The boba is always nice and chewy. Also, we love getting the popcorn chicken! I am so excited to have an i-Tea near home! I have been going to the i-Tea in Oakland for years and the location in San Francisco since it opened a few years ago. The menu offers so many choices for milk and fruit teas, but I tend to stick with the same drinks over and over again. My favorite is the matcha with matcha pudding and red bean. I also like the more traditional jasmine milk tea with boba. The big difference between this location compared to the others is the ramen. Solid ramen. I had The shoyu tonkotsu. It was delicious! The noodles were perfectly cooked! I also had the potato croquettes. Hot, light and crispy on the outside, very tender and soft on the inside. I will definitely be back again! I was so stuffed from the ramen, I took my croquettes and tea home to enjoy later. read more

Three years later. I still go there once to twice a week. They're so consistent with the flavor of their teas, the sweetness level and the taste of the boba. I love that they don't skimp on the boba like many places do. They have increased their prices a bit (maybe 50-75c), but all places have since the pandemic. And I still get more for $5.43 than in most places. I would love for them to expand a bit the fuit tea menu (they don't have everything that's on display like autism pear for example) and get an apple flavor. read more

Opening a boba shop in this area was a blessing from the Gods. Great place to hang out with friends, do work, play a ton of Uno, or just grab and drink and go if you're in a rush (well you still have to pay, but you get what I mean). Here's my opinion on the bobas I've tried, on a scale of smash or pass. Signature Boba Milk Tea: The classic is a very solid option and is a great starter for those who haven't been to iTea before. It's your standard boba milk tea with no frills and it's delicious. Smash Milk Tea w/Tofuhua and Red Bean: I like this one a lot. It doesn't come with boba, but it does come with a green jelly and red bean. The jelly is kinda tasteless, but the red beans are tasty and sweet and the tea is good. The only problem is that a lot of the times you'll drink the actual milk tea quicker than you ingest the jelly, so the bottom of the drink won't have any of the tea and just contain a giant blob of jelly and red bean that's pretty awkward to eat but also makes you feel like you're wasting money if you throw it away (which, at the price of $4.25 per milk tea, is a legit concern). Smash. Jasmine Milk Tea: This one's pretty good. The jasmine flavor is nice and refreshing and clean. This one to me seems a little bit sweeter than some of the other teas, however, so reduce your sugar a bit when ordering this one. Smash. Thai Tea: Yummy. My favorite thing to do with this drink is to not shake it up, since it's hot at the bottom, and instead just drink the hot boba and tea at the bottom. Yum. I'm not sure if this is on the actual menu but they do have it. Smash. Taro Milk Tea: Had this one at the very onset. Sucked. The taro was hella weird and drinking it made me feel like there were little chunks of sand in my boba that was going up with the tea. Haven't had it since my initial impression, but I'm doubtful that it's going to be a better experience. Hard pass. 3G Milk Tea: ...ok? It's basically the signature tea but with more condiments. Also seems to have more sugar, which I'm not particularly fond of (going to iTea every day is a great way to loosen up your belt, and I'm trying hard to avoid that). I suppose if you want grass jelly in your boba, go for it, but I mean...it's not very different from the signature and is just kinda lame. Pass. Hokkaido Milk Tea: One of my personal favorites. Comes with a yellowish jelly that's not that flavorful, but the tea itself is delicious and has a coffee-esque flavor. Very delicious. Hard smash. Panda Milk Tea: My friend gets this like every time. When I tried it, however, it was good but not like super impressive. Just a typical iTea flavor, albeit with some interesting boba that has a very different texture than the traditional and is much easier to chew. It's a good one to try to see if you like the agar boba or the regular kind more. Smash. Wintermelon Milk Tea: This one sucks. Cloyingly sweet even with 30% sugar. I don't want to know what 100% sugar looks like for this one. Also, the aftertaste is just kind of odd, and the wintermelon adds literally nothing to the drink except a cool name. That's unfortunately the only thing cool about this menu item, however. Pass. Honey Brown Rice Milk Tea: I had this once and was surprised to find that it was decent. The name sounds kind of gross, but I enjoyed the texture of the rice and the flavor of the honey. It tastes a little less sweet than some of the others, so adjust your sweetness level accordingly. Smash. Mango Pudding Milk Tea: I used to get this every time I went to iTea because I was anathema to trying new things, but the more I have it the more mediocre it seems. The mango pudding is largely tasteless (a common theme), and the drink itself tastes not very much like tea and more just like a mango drink. Try it, but it's somewhere in between the spectrum for me. Roasted Oolong Milk Tea: I like this one a lot. Oolong is delicious. Smasherino. Earl Grey Milk Tea: I really really like this one too, but that's cuz I like Earl Grey and I know plenty of people do not. It depends on your personal preference. I'd go in, but others may not enjoy it as much. Green Tea Frosty Drink: Meh. It looks very impressive when you get it, but it was kind of disappointing. It kind of lacked flavor and also didn't make your digestive system feel awesome. Kinda lame. Passsss. Popcorn Chicken: Yummy but kind of overpriced. It's a luxury for me, but every time I get it I'm reminded that for the $5.50 I'm spending on a little box of chicken, I could be getting an 8 piece fried chicken box from Safeway for 50 cents less on Fridays. It's definitely worth a try though. I'll keep adding to this as I try more of the drinks/food items (I've never had the ramen, for instance). Now, back to those college apps that I've successful put off for another half hour in writing this review. Peace. read more

Why oh why didn't this open like 10 years ago when I was at Miramonte??? Such great boba and snacks and food! And so authentic and ready. Nothing my husband and I have tried has not been good: creamas, regular milk tea, fruit teas, snacks, ramen, etc Caveat, their sweetness levels are higher than other boba places I've had so I would suggest getting 50% sugar or less. I can't imagine how sweet 100% is given how sweet 50% is. It's a lovely little snacking space and my only issue with it is that it didn't come to Moraga sooner. read more

They have such a great selection for both drinks and food and snacks. The drinks were made with good ingredients and mostly had good flavor.. the taro milk tea is blended very well, but while the winter melon milk tea is tasty, it doesn't have a strong winter melon flavor. The cuttlefish balls have pros and cons - pros being really flavorful and has authentic seasoning (however, it was spicy and that wasn't marked in the menu), and comes in a good portion. Con is that they are large spongy fish paste balls that tastes more like for hot pot than the popular deep fried snack that's got a meatier texture to it. I used to go to the I-Tea in downtown SF, and while the chain has an authentic feel, I thought the taste were just above average. This place seems solid. I also appreciate the attention paid to logistics. For pickup orders, signage asks those who've already paid to go straight in and those who haven't to get in line. And everyone who's paid just wait outside for their number to be called through the walkie talkie on the door outside - smart. read more

This might be the best milk tea place I have ever been. They have so many different type of products. I ordered a pomelo fruit tea with half sugar and half ice. I feel it's a bit bitter after I get it, so I told the staff as my feed back, they started making me a new one with 70% of sugar right away. I was so impressed. Because I felt it's my own fault to make that mistake order. But their answer to me is even sweeter. They said they want their customers to have a better experience and relationship with the place, that's why making the drinks to satisfied the customers is the goal. If you have the experience I just had, it will be as follows: A disorganized and very slow crew of young people with no visible mature supervision or leadership present will be in command of your order. This order will arrive after people who order after you. Your order will take more than ten minutes to fill. The order will be missing ingredients. A young man will cart mangoes on a clanging steel metal dolly just past the tips of your toes. My suggestion to the owners: spend some time here and study the operations.
