Upon entry you are delightfully greeted by a tip of a hat and a milday, which is precisely my pace. I galavanted into the corridors merely endeavoring for two items. A plethora of toilet paper, 7 years worth to be precise, and a bakers dozen of Costco's finest hot dogs. Prices are exceptional, and logistics were effortless. I stuffed my Kirkland cargo utility trousers with a revolvers chamber worth of flaccid meat conduits, my thighs began to cook the dogs from the radiant heat due to intense frolicking throughout the aisles. I've always ran hot, like an aged thunderbird. I just had to sample the various succulent provenders that act as end caps to the enabling aisles of over consumption, Tis the American way and I for one, am a true patriot. People call me Americas sweetheart. At any rate, I now can wipe relentlessly without worry of depleting my supply of rumpus papyrus. And I've got my dogs with me for the next 30 minutes. Life is good. Costco is great. Best Regards, JC

Costco on Baseline has to have the rudest, most unprofessional, and most incompetent cashier, specifically Lupe # 823, and checkout people, namely a woman named Talia at the exit. In 31 yrs. I've never had any problems at Costco. Today it seemed that everyone hated their job. From now on I will shop at Sam's club, or at Amazon Fresh. Who needs this negativity and rudeness? I don't.

It says right on the screen to wait for your number to be called but psych! They won't make it until you wait in a ridiculous line and show them your order. Then you are hoping they aren't out of what you ordered by then or you can wait for them to cook it too. So inefficient! Think you'll be in and out at 2pm on a Wednesday? Nope. After your food court delay for a hot dog and a slice of pizza, there's are 10-15 people queued to leave. The door man is a rude as all and will yell at you if you think there are two lines (since there are two patches through the exit pylon). My husband got frustrated and walked out with our cupcakes and then he started yelling at me "where are the cupcakes!!" with my sleeping 3 week old baby right there. I told him I'm leaving and he said I'm going to mark it down!! As some kind of threat. I don't care call the police on the cupcakes I paid for already. Good thing my membership expires in 55 days because this was my last trip here.

I visited the Staples at 6770 Stanford Ranch Rd, Roseville, CA on 8/29 around 2 PM, and the experience was so shockingly bad that it cost this store -- and likely the company -- a significant purchase opportunity. I came in not only to complete two returns (a Happy Return and an Amazon return) but also to evaluate Staples as a potential vendor for a large bulk order of equipment and supplies for multiple offices. I never even made it to the shopping portion of my visit because the customer service was that hostile. The store layout was confusing and the signage contradictory, so I approached the balloon desk for help. The female associate dismissed me, pointed vaguely toward the Amazon lockers, and when I said I was confused, she condescendingly told me to "use my eyes" and marched slowly while pointing at arrows on the floor as if I were incapable of understanding basic directions. When I told her she was being rude, she replied, "I'm autistic," as though that excused her behavior. It does not. At the register, things escalated. Before even greeting me, Rhett loudly said, "We have to deal with customers' dumb questions all day!" He repeatedly talked down to me, pointed in my face, and ultimately yelled, "If you don't like the way we do things and think we're rude, pack up your returns and get out!" He shoved an Amazon contact card at me, clearly trying to avoid doing Amazon returns altogether. He also gave me incorrect instructions about where to complete my Happy Return -- proving the confusion I originally asked about was valid. As I walked to the correct area, he used the store communication system to portray himself as the victim, prompting another associate to make passive‑aggressive comments about "rude customers" within earshot of me and the only other shopper in the store. The Happy Returns associate then watched me stand in line without assisting me for an extended period, despite the store being nearly empty. This location is being run by employees who are openly hostile, dismissive, and unprofessional. Their behavior didn't just ruin a simple return -- it directly cost Staples a substantial business purchase I was prepared to make. I will not be returning, and I will strongly advise my firm to avoid Staples entirely.
