I was very impressed by "It's Boba Time"! It's an unassuming shop in a strip mall with above average tea drinks. My favorite was the taro milk tea ($6.50) which I got with ube foam topper (+$1). The two flavors combine in a delightful way and the taro milk tea is on par with what is served at fancier boba shops. I got 50% sweetness and it was perfect for me, lightly sweetened and rich. The banana strawberry smoothie was very good too, I got it "less sweet" and it was perfect, a natural sweet flavor, nothing too intense. My friend ordered the avocado shake with boba and egg cream, which wasn't my favorite, but it had a rich and creamy avocado flavor. The egg cream was delightful too. He also got the Dubai chocolate shake ($7.50) , with egg cream (+$1) and boba (+$1). I didn't love that one either, but it was interesting. I love how big the menu is, there is an incredible variety of drinks available, there is even a top 20 drinks list! I will definitely be back, for a casual boba stop, It's Boba Time punches above its weight. If you're looking for an exceptional and very authentic boba, you may go somewhere else, but this is an above average strip mall boba shop with very fair prices. I didn't love the boba pearls, and I wish you could smell them cooking inside, but everything else was great! The egg cream is a nice treat to include in your drink. read more

I understand that it was a Saturday night and that employees were getting ready to close, but the customer service during our visit was disappointing. While customers were still patiently waiting for their orders, one of the employees began wiping down tables with cleaning solutions and loudly pushing chairs up onto the tables around us. It created a very uncomfortable feeling, as though we were being rushed out even though we had already placed our order and were simply waiting for our Acai Bowls. I worked in customer service for many years, so I understand how important it is to be mindful of the customer experience from the moment someone walks in until the moment they receive their order and leave. Closing time may be approaching, but that shouldn't make customers feel like an inconvenience. I hope management can take this as constructive feedback. A little more awareness and consideration toward customers who are still waiting would have made a big difference. read more

This location is among the cleanest It's Boba Time branches. It is conveniently located at a small shopping plaza at the corner of Wilshire & Highland. I came on a Tuesday (May 14) at approximately 12:30pm because I was craving some boba with my order from El Pollo Loco next door. I ordered a large Hokkaido milk tea with boba. I kindly requested Almond Milk as a dairy substitute for an additional 75 cents. The cashier on duty named Amber had the nerve snap back at me and said in a condescending tone, "it already comes with non-dairy creamer. Do you still want it with Almond Milk?". I said "yes of course". For the rest of the transaction, she looked pissed off that she had to accommodate my request to swap non-dairy with almond milk. She even roller her eyes after I paid and I did nothing wrong to piss her off. All I did was to kindly request almond milk on my boba drink since I am allergic to non-dairy creamer. I must opt for dairy alternatives such as soy or almond milk. My drink cost $7.25. It was ready within 2 minutes. It tasted as I expected it to be. I can taste the butterscotch flavor, which complements the tea and almond milk with chewy boba. Unfortunately, Amber's unprofessional attitude is a dealbreaker. Management must re-train her to become more professional. Amber must re-evaluate the way she treats her customers, especially if anyone kindly requests dairy alternatives especially when non-dairy is not a feasible option due to one's dietary restrictions. read more

This is right by a school and an office building, so they get a little rush at lunch but they try to work at quick as they can to get the drinks out. I have been a big fan of Boba for Inc. many years. Ever since I lived in San Francisco, it became some thing I could never get enough of. I love to get it after dinner or as a treat after a long day. Today was one of those days so we stopped in and grabbed a few drinks. Service was fast and they have a lot of great options on the menu. I have been to many different locations around town and they are all very consistent. Parking is really easy in this area because there's a large parking lot attached to the strip mall. Today we ordered a few drinks, but my favorite of the ones that I ordered today was the Frosty Milk. It's not something I order often but it's great when I'm in the mood for a treat. The drinks are always delicious, and my daughter really enjoys her favorite Acai bowl with extra granola. Today, though, the bowl she received didn't seem to have any. She went back inside to check and showed the receipt to the staff. I have been ordering from this location for the past two weeks and everything I ordered so far has been delicious. To make things easier, I order ahead with an app to pickup. They also have a menu by their door with a QR Code for easy ordering, in case you would want to safely distance yourself from other waiting customers. The boba are cooked perfectly, chewy and slightly sweet. The beverages can be made to your level of sweetness. So far I have ordered: Sea Salt Cold brew with cheese foam: Yes, I know it sounds weird and even I surprised myself when I ordered it. But it was good! The cold brew was strong but smooth and with the foam, it acted as the sweet slightly salty creamer Strawberry matcha: Refreshing with generous chunks of strawberry Lavender milk tea with light boba: Lavender taste was lightly floral but not too strong. The acai bowls were delicious too! I ordered the signature bowl and the coco choco bowl. I got the small size each time and it was satisfying. I got full two thirds the way in. I recommend both. Hi Everyone, I have been going to this location since 2020. My favorite is cafe mocha with soy 25% sweet and anything matcha. I've spent thousands of dollars here. They know me by name and have my order ready as soon as I walk in and I didn't even ask them to do that. They all work hard - Amber, Jiselle, Steve, April - and they all kickass and stay on top of everything somehow as if by magic. (Sorry if I forgot anyone's name.) There is another employee I miss that used to work there in 2021. Shoutout to her as well. This is my go-to spot to decompress, journal and write comedy. Or challenge my mind by learning French and playing Lumosity games. It's a nice space and usually very clean. When I walked into this particular location, it just happened to be a big mess...thanks to loud, screaming kids, dirty tables, disorderly chairs, etc.etc. It was also hot inside...so much so that I actually decided to drink the tea outside. Anyway, it's very much like Kung Fu Tea, but much smaller scaled...less ambitious in its menu. I tried Thai Iced Tea with Bubbles (one of their listed Top 10 Teas). It was quite good...sweet, but not overwhelming. Honestly, not too impressed. I may try another branch elsewhere, but I did not like the vibe here at all. Came to this place around 2pm 7/28/2024 Sunday and will never go back. Blue hair lady ignored me from the counter for at least 10mins and told me only self only with attitude. Right after few mins Hispanic lady came in and she took the order in Spanish. Not only taking their orders first, but blue hair lady made sure Hispanic clients get their drinks first before ppl like me waiting first. They should list the rule in the store so everyone knows that only Hispanic orders are welcome! Blue hair lady continued to only take orders in Spanish only and made rest of clients do self service orders ! Be aware everyone I had to keep my eyes on my drink js in case if she spits or something lol. This is my go-to Boba Time as it's the closest one near my house. The free parking lot is a huge plus, although getting in and out of the plaza can be a little bit tricky. The drinks at any Boba Time location are always consistent, which I love. You know what to expect, kind of like going to a McDonald's and ordering your favorite meal and knowing it'll taste the same. My favorite drink is the passion fruit green tea with boba and lychee jelly (25% sweetness level, less ice). They always get it right and the prices are way reasonable, unlike the $6 bobas you're seeing at other places. Fast and friendly service, no complaints. read more

Yes, it is a weird time because of COVID19 and there is a certain amount of slack to be given due to this. However I felt that this was important to note due to the circumstances as well as general quality of the drinks. Came by this past Sunday night ordered two simple drinks and noticed that there were many workers 5 I think in the kitchen and some not wearing masks properly (noses not covered, briefly pulling masks under mouth). One - this is a lot of people in a smaller establishment more than I believe is comfortable considering the times. Two - pretty alarming as the lone customer picking up an order to have someone not following proper CA guidelines handling my drinks (mr. not covering nose handled my drinks himself). This on its own I wasn't going to write about - however as I started to enjoy my drink, a few gulps in a piece of metal scrap was in my drink! Pulled it out of my mouth and was just disgusted!
