Went for lunch today at this location with I have been to several time food and service is hit of miss. Today at lunch I ordered the chopped steak medium. When delivered to the table it had red juices on the plate and a raw center . The waitress didn't even apologize just took it back and said they will cook it medium well. No apologies nothing. Took over 30 minutes for them to bring it back with to be ordered medium well. We asked for it to go so it came out packaged up. Solid Experience with Great Service, Slight Miss on the Steak I recently dined at Outback Steakhouse and ordered the filet mignon, requesting it be cooked medium plus since my last "medium" order was closer to rare. Unfortunately, the steak came out more medium well this time, which wasn't what I had hoped for. I didn't send it back because I didn't want to disrupt the flow of the evening, so I did my best to enjoy it. On a positive note, the wedge side salad and sweet potato were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. What really made the visit worthwhile, though, was the excellent service from Akine and Shareef. They were both attentive, friendly, and professional, which helped balance out the slight disappointment with the steak but the ambiance was on point with the vibe. My only suggestion would be to ensure the kitchen staff understands the nuance between medium plus and medium well. I visited this Outback location as part of a group of about 25 people. Now, I used to be a big fan of Outback years ago and always said that whatever I ordered was the best I'd ever had until several years ago when things appeared to have changed. Food wasn't as good, service level was abysmal and it just wasn't worth the money any more. My experience at this location restored my faith in Outback Steakhouse. We ordered numerous appetizers and all were scrumptious, especially the coconut shrimp. It was like cotton candy! The salad I got was crisp, fresh, and cold which I like. I also ordered the Alice Springs Chicken, which was warm and gooey with cheese and bacon, and honey mustard dressing. Everyone was remarking about how good their entrees were as well. Nobody had to send their steaks back because of cook issues like I have experienced plenty in the past. Out of all of us present, nobody had even one bad word to say about the quality of the food, service, or their experience. Sent it back and after another 35 minutes another steak came out, also medium well, but this time with no sear and so over-salted that I can feel my lips burning just thinking about it. Loaded baked potato was shriveled, dry and under-garnished. Sauteed mushrooms were repulsive; something that went into them had been seriously burnt. 1. I ordered on-line for delivery and when I got the confirming email, it was NOT what I had ordered. I called and got a person in take-out/delivery and explained the error and she was rude, hard to understand, and simply acted as if it was my fault. 2. I was told at 6:26 that it would be 47-57 minutes for delivery. I called back at 8:03 and was told by a manager, Sam, that my order was sitting there, but that he could "force" the delivery service to pick it up for delivery. That's almost THREE hours, and he had already told me it had been sitting there in the bag since shortly after I ordered, so it had to be cold and inedible. 3. I finally insisted that I wanted my money back, and a written confirmation that it was being refunded. What a terrible experience. The location wasn't busy at all and we started off with a long wait time, for any service. When the server finally arrived, she was grumpy, but reasonably polite. It arrived back, a tad warm, but not like it should've typically been. the baked potato looked like it was smothered in oil, looked and tasted old. We began to "eat" Out other steak, was also just warm, but was very hard to cut even with a steak knife, it was not any sinue it was just hard. I then moved onto my baked potato and on my 2nd bite, I felt something hard in my mouth, It need broken my tooth off. I took it out, only to find a "SCREW" in the food. I called the server to call the manager. She finally arrived after 5 minutes and I showed her the issue, to which she apologized. I told her I felt sick and wanted to throw up just thinking that this was in my mouth about to be swallowed. I told her that I would not be paying for the food and that I would be leaving. She said that was ok to do that. I asked her if it was her what would she have done/said, I was told that she would've told the server and asked for a replacement. Her attitude towards me and my family was condescending and damn right rude. I asked her if this was her would she pay for it, to which I was told "yes". Her approach to it was non caring, didn't give a crap. Either way, I asked her does she want me to pay for it, to be told, "well you dont wanna pay for it, so what can I do" If I was in her shoes, I would've have shown some empathy, and telling my customers that this issue would be dealt with swiftly, with nothing to pay. We were in Durham recently for a visit to Duke Medical Center. The "patient" for our trip decided he was in the mood for a steak, so off to Outback I went! It was just around the corner from our hotel, so I sat at the bar and enjoyed a beer while our order was prepared. We all ordered Victoria's filets, along with baked potatoes and salads. The order was perfectly executed, which doesn't always happen for takeout orders. Steaks were cooked exactly as requested, baked potato toppings were correct, and the salad dressings were just as ordered. I was very impressed! Overall it was a decent experience. I do recommend getting the bloomin burger, it was cooked perfectly and the onions on it were very crunchy so I knew they were fresh. The ribs tasted great but we did find that piece of plastic in it. We did not complain but we did let the waitress and manager know it was there. Our waitress' name was Kennedy and she was handling so many tables and she did fantastic with such a great attitude. If you like fruity alcoholic drinks you will love the blueberry lavender lemonade. Really disappointed in my visit last night. I ordered the wings and they were overcooked and the size of them, highly disappointed. I was cautious to send them back because the bartender was very passive aggressive. Something was clearly off as there appeared to be some tension with her and the manager. I haven't eaten at a Outback in yrs, so I was a little excited to eat here. Our server was on point the whole time. The warm wheat bread with butter was so yummy. I'm visiting my family back home in NC and I really wanted a steak so we decided on outback. We came around 5 so they started to get busy but we were seated within 5 minutes. Our waitress Arianna was quick and ready to serve us. We did wait quite awhile for our food to be served even though we were some of the few that were seated first. Our food was fairly delicious, although my steak was slightly overcooked. The ribs my grandma ordered were overcooked as well because it didn't fall off the bone as it usually does. My favorite thing I ate was my Tasmanian chili. I order that every time I come. I also love the bloomin onion that my parents ate but since I'm keto, I had to say no this time they got my daughter the chocolate thunder from down under for dessert since she finished her food and boy did it look delicious! I've worked for Outback Steakhouse for over 3 years, but I only spent about 7-8 months at this store. While working there, I've literally seen the owner of this store drop a steak into a cardboard box, then pick it up and serve it to her customer. The dishes were rarely completely clean. Sometimes servers would clean the dishes with table cleaner just to have clean plates to give to guests. One time a very polite homeless man comes into the restaurant & she refused to give him a meal. I decided to buy him a meal myself and all she is worried about is that he "can't be laying his head down on the table." She would never take accountability for anything that went wrong. There are a lot of great people that work at this location, but the store owner is very selfish and cheap. It seemed as though she doesn't mind cutting corners or disrespecting others if it benefits her.
